    Hi All.

I am truly fed up of the weather, when will it stop raining and give us all a break from dirt and mud.

    Have a uu

Champneys Thai Royale body cream - WBA but don't need to at the moment as I have another tube and a large pot of body butter in the same range. This tube of cream was bought when Sainsburys stopped selling Champneys:eek: so has been around a while but it was fine.

Been into town with the kids and called at Boots, the sales shelves have been well and truly raided. I didn't buy anything though, so my resolve is still going strong.

Hello Valm - was wondering where you were. Hope you get back online soon.

Hello Helen1971 - nice to hear from you.

Hello! I'm a newbie but I need to join this. My aim is to have just one of each item in use, and one in back up. Eeep.
    Cookie, I think you're tame. :heart2:

  • Hello everyone, I'd like to join in please. Shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser are the only things I will possibly need to buy this month.

I promise to ignore the lovely bargains in the sales, I just love those gift sets!!! I think I have enough soaps, body lotion, body butters, lip balm etc to last the year at least.
I really need to be using them as my skin is dry (I always do my face and neck but ignore everything else) but I am always in too much of a rush. Hopefully everything is still ok to use, I use the 'sniff test' myself.

I have a bar of Dior soap that someone bought me 32 years ago in a gift set, I used the perfume but kept the soap, couldn't bring myself to use a bar of soap which cost as much as a trolley load of shopping, it still smells ok. Anyone else have anything older?

So far, in 3 days I have finished off:
    2 spray deodorants
    I bottle of 2in1 shampoo/conditioner ( and bought a new one)
    Good luck everybody, stay strong
  • Couple of TA's today - Max Factor eye brightening mascara which does nothing and goes off way too quickly, and Urban Decay naked lipgloss which exploded in my handbag:mad:

I think I need to join this thread and challenge as last year I got completely sucked into the Beauty Boxes on offer and spent much more than I should have. I have hundreds of sample sized products of every type to use up and had to go out and buy a storage box to keep it all in as I couldn't find anything when I wanted it. I also have gifts from pre Christmas 2012 that haven't even been opened, kept for best and never used.

I did make DD a beauty box up for part of her Christmas present this year, (she lives in Australia) and she loved it, so some of my stash will be going her way over the next few gift times.

I have spent the last hour binning partially used/out of date things that I know I will never use. Luckily OH isn't around to moan at the "waste". I haven't got the energy to do a count or list of things I have but will keep an eye on UU, GA, TA and Ins from now on.

I do not need anything for Jan 13 and possibly not for Feb/March/April either if not actually further in the year.

Warm welcome to all the newbies, I have been dropping in here for just over a year now and it is a great place to be.

UU today of Clarisonic body polish full size, WNBA, did not really buy, it came as part of the "added extras" when I bought the Clarisonic. GA most of the other stuff, might have a small size of this lurking still, if so it will last 2 or 3 showers only.

sorting out flower arranging stuff.....nearly as much as toiletries:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
forgot to say my nieces and friends loved the beauty boxes I made up for them using SSB boxes stuffed full of lots of different items thus making space in my cupboard:):)
also put a few items in for OH and DS3 which gave them a laugh on Christmas day!
home alone with a baked potato whilst OH is in my fav spa hotel having 3 course gourmet meal....something not quite right here!!!(he is there on business, decided to stay there as so nice and on the way home from where he is today)
  • Hello everyone and a big ewelcome to all the newbies. I have been on the thread for a year now and have found it really helpful - it has really made me stop and think before buying. I am no saint and do have INs but at least they are fewer than pre-challenge.

Have a couple of INs to report actually -

2 x Trevor Sorbie volumising mousse - this is my HG product, I don't buy other hair mousses (unless I can't find this) so tend to stock up when I see it in Boots as it is sometimes in short supply. Currently on offer - 2 for £6 so bought a couple to keep me going as I only have 1 in use and 1 in the drawer.

Plus another UU so at least I am staying "toiletry neutral":

Liz E foot repair - WBA but am making a real concerted effort not to add to the stash unless I am on my last of something. Moved on to a Margaret Dabbs foot lotion (old style packaging) which I found in my gift drawer before Christmas. As it was the old orange packaging didn't feel I could 'gift' it to a friend so gifted it to myself instead.

I used SSB boxes to wrap up some toiletries bought for OH and DS for Christmas.

Also used some things from BB in Christmas Crackers for DF and OH and gave DMIL and OH a table present for Christmas morning breakfast, all courtesy of BB. I don't have any male toiletries left now, so wouldn't be able to do it again but it was fun watching OH look in wonder at a small tube of male face mud and wonder what he was supposed to do with it.

Nice to see you over here RM54, hope things continue to improve at home. Does seem a pity about OH and the spa, perhaps you could treat yourself with some of the lovely toiletries you have and pretend you are at the spa instead.

Edit - to get into the swing of things, today I have UU
Aquafresh toothpaste - 20ml tube - finally gone after squeezing every last squidge out.
Pai - Gentle Hydrating Cleanser - 50ml - WBA but it's expensive, £20 purchased with Pai face oil on offer so was free. It's lovely but I have too many similar products to use up first.

    hello to all the newbies!

no UU yet, most of my stuff is newly opened!

i started a mac mascara (bought for last years xmas:o) the other day. it seems to be choc a block full! the wand is completely covered when you take it out. thank the lord for my Sephora lash comb or id have a TA purely cz its an absolute pain!

I have exactly the same problem with the mascara out of the Ted Baker A Star is Born set that OH bought me for Christmas - its actually really good but I have to scrape quite a bit off the brush before I can start to apply it as its absolutely loaded up otherwise!
