January's Big Financial Freeze!!!

a NSD yesterday and today - i have no need to leave the house in the cold wet snow....
will update sig to see how well / badly i am doing this month...
sorry I haven't been updating much I have had three assignments to get done, and a work placement to organize - the last assignment is underway, and hopeful I have nailed down a meeting date for the placement...
Stashbuster - 2014 98/100 - 2015 175/200 - 2016 501 / 500 2017 - 200 / 500 2018 3 / 500

The snows coming down here now quite badly in Leicester. Not looking forward to finishing at 9pm.
Looking at current finance should be able to pay off £70 from the cc which a friend is giving me for 2 tickets that I cant now use. Also £30 of own funds at the end of the month. That is before I get paid hopefully. Then going to look at budget next when I get paid and see if i can pay some off at the start of February rather than the end and just live on the remainder. OH has agreed to get the bus 3 days a week to work and back which should ultimately save me in the long run and I can use my bike and also get fit at the same time.
Had a little complaint to make to Sky and they knocked off £7.50 off our bill every month for a year - result.
NSK have you a challenge in mind for February for your chickadees to sign up to and follow on the sidelines for?0 -

Not made use of the free listing on ebay as i felt lousy over the weekend, but i'll prepare the items this week and list them as soon as it's free again. Sent of my camera today though and one item i sold on friday.

Edited: oh my, that looks rude I'll try again.

Hello all!
Hope you all had a great weekend and weren't/arent' to disrupted by the snow.
Must confess to a spend day today. Bought some wool so I can give crochet a try and some needles so I can fix Hubby's jogging bottoms. He's managed to split two this week - his waist may be a "medium" but him bum certainly isn't! I do also need to mend a top of mine and couldn't find any needles in my house, sure I have some somewhere.
Worked out that odd transaction on my account was for my half price graze box - must cancel tonight now.
Sat and Sun were no spend days
ETA: finally claimed a £5 AGC from SBs0 -
Good afternoon one and all... I had to get the train in today. Snow arrived in my area and any amount is treacherous for us motor bikers. I have taken it out of my petrol fund as its travel but at £13.50 its a LOT. I am hoping and praying that it doesn't last long as I have to come to work super early tomorrow during peak time and its £18.50.... the dilemma is paying £69 for a weeks travel card but I don't need it for 7 days. I can just about withstand the freezing temperatures and numb fingers but cannot afford to travel on the train for the rest of the month..... hmmmm not good!
Otherwise I am ploughing through the day although at work until 1930. My ebayer who bought my hifi is coming later tonight around 2100 to pick it up.. and the other two have paid their money so I can send there items tomorrow. I am going to have to rummage for more things to sell now as I am completely out of what you would call "bigger items".. might try the whole 99p thing and see what happens with smaller items..
I have been talked out of a temp promotion at work. It wouldn't fit with where I am wanting to go with my current office and might prove difficult in that the managers are known to micro-manage... so I am going to turn my hand to every course going.. make it known I am out to assist in any way possible etc.. I need as much evidence of competence going so i can leave and do something for myself.... told you 2013 was going to be fun!!!
MancMan - I have ideas for Feb.. NSD's will be no more. They will be renamed due to the hassle I got from a few certain users. They will be named in accordance with my challenges... I do want to jazz it up now and then but I feel people are in tune with the rules and regulations inasmuch as they are now a little more comfortable with the toughness...:rotfl:.. I just might make things a lot simpler. Easy to remember etc. Otherwise you will have to wait and see.
I think I might have to make a batch of soup tonight. Could well do with out it to be honest as I am up early tomorrow again.. but am down to my last tub of chilli and I have realized it hasn't been fun as I put too much chilli in it and have to make home made tzaziki in order to cool it down a bit... so less chilli next time...
Another miniature shop is in order. I need more fruit and peanut butter..:T.. I realize I am superbly going over my budget here but since I am doing nothing else yet bringing in more money than expected this month I am going to go with the flow this month.. I feel much better for it and feel that looking after my health in order to do excessive amounts of overtime might be a good enough reason...
I completed a night shift on saturday and a quick change over to get back into work by 3pm on Sunday afternoon until 2300. This was a total of 15 hours on double time and 1 on time and a half.. i will do one day next week then double again the week after...phew!!!
Right now though I need to chug on with my day-to-day grind... Keep up the great achievement with food, NSD's and losing weight to all those that are trying.
Onwards and Upwards!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
NSD 10 and counting. I have more stuff on ebay only little things but it has helped this month. Even though this month has seen me have to repair washing machine and my bike I have paid for both of them through ebay sales. Thank you NSK for motivating us all to do better and think more about spending our hard earned cash. Hope everyone is warm and safe its very snowy here but at least I can push my bike home its only 2 miles. I am not sure if I will be able to ride it home it looks a little deep

NSD 11 here - a day at work but the weather looks like its here to stay! Ebay is going well at the moment - although it has been helped by a couple of good handbags which have brought decent money in. I need to keep loading up the system but will have to get a few 99p items on.
At the moment I am waiting for he cc bills to come in so that I can update my spreadsheet. I am hoping that I have over estimated so that I can find a few spare pounds here and there.
Tonights ageda is making a birthday card for a relative abd wrapping last nights ebay sales - all in front of a lovely warm fire. I will worry about tomorrow's weather - umm - tomorrow!
Keep warm and safe everyone xx44 day challenge

Hi just checking in! Spend day for me today, bread, butter and milk and my evening class. Otherwise nothing, has quite a good earning day too and still off the alcohol since NY Eve so not so bad. Bit of a cold day struggling with the ice and cold and mad dogs. Dont think i'm going to get the 25 NSDs but a lot of my spend days are low ones so thats not too bad. I'll be interested to see how many I actually achieve.0

Hi everyone, well I was soooo proud of myself today, it has snowed here but not too bad and I got to work OK this am. I work at Mr S and before I came home I was thinking I need bread, milk and veg, just in case I cant get out because of the said white stuff and then I realised if I really need those things in the next few days I can go to the local C**p which is in walking distance, so I saved my nsd:)
Not much to report but its cold here and Rosie wasnt too impressed being woken up at 5am to have her heat mat reheated up:rotfl:but I bet she was glad I did - I just love that gp:)
