Morning all
Another NSD yesterday to rack up, and one today. eBay bits done taking my earnt total over target and well on the way to the find total with another £5 amazon on its was from swagbucks. Happy days. Not sure how we're going to do on the NSD target, but considering this is the first month we've embarked on the belt and braces challenge, I'm really pleased with how we have done :j
Happy Tuesday all!0 -
Hope you get the news you want today Beckyboo and Mr Boo.
I was lucky this morning on the way into work driving under a motorway bridge and something fell from it, but managed to see it just in time before it came through my windscreen. Just glad I am still here to tell the tale - could have been a) expensive or b) dead.0 -
Morning all.
Looks like today might be an expensive spend day - one of the cats coughed up a hairball last night and what looked like a ringworm with it - urgh! Hubby's ringing up the vets this morning about it but I've had a quick search online and it looks like I'll have to take him to the vet for a prescription for treatment and have to treat all the cats and the house! Feeling rather deflated about it all
Glad you're ok mancman, sounds scary.
good luck beckyboo's Hubby0 -

ringworm is a skin condition (which would need to be seen to diagnosed) - can't you just get worm tablets at a cat chemist?
they may not be much cheaper - but it may be worth looking at...

Hi nimbo.
I thought ringworm was some kind of fungal skin infection but Hubby searched gooooogle images and came up with it. I've just been on gooooogle and reckon it's roundworms, less scary.
ETA: Next time I do the research and he does the cleaning up. Convinced now it's nothing more than everyday roundworms so I can just go to the pet shop and pick up some treatment. Relief! Going to cost me just under £16 though for the 4 of them.

Well done on the NSDs, I do find that once you get into it, a NSD seems to become the norm, and a spend day abnormal!
I'm beginning to feel this way too! It's really good.
And on that note: 2 more NSDs to declare (yesterday and today). I've also high hopes for my eBay sales . . . and O2 have sent me a £10 Denenhams voucher for my customer anniversary, so I'm adding that to my "find £25" total.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Found out this morning hubby has been made redundant. Just absolutely devestated - can't stop crying. Know we need to get productive and get on the case ASAP but just such a blow when we are already in so much financial crap and have only just started to get ourselves sorted out
The problem is that although Mr Boo is more than happy to do ANY job at all - stacking shelves, bins, etc..., because we have to pay full time childcare for the twins, he just can't afford to take a job paying less than about £16000 or we end up paying more for childcare than he earns:(

Hi everyone, hope its good news for you beckyboo, sending positive vibes.
Another nsd today:), but Im running out of milk again but will hold out until tomorrow. Had a day off today and started bottoming upstairs after the Xmas guests, really feels good and Im tackling the downstairs tomorrow, also started sorting last years accounts and have loads to shred/burn but I will go through it again just to make sure I really dont need it as a couple of years ago I shredded some important papers that I needed and it took me ages to get copies.
Thats it for today, not sure what Im doing for tea but its going to be a proper mix up from the bottom of the fridge:rotfl:
Jxx
Sorry about hubbies redundancy beckyboo, Im a slow typer and posts got crossed, Ive been made redundant twice now, and I was devastated each time£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund0 -
Really sorry to hear that Beckyboo
is there anyway that hubby could get a job that works nights? Shelf stacking at night pays higher in the daytime, and that might help you out with childcare costs if he's at home during the day and you're home in the evening? Not ideal though I know
Also has he thought about doing any hobbles? There are sites out there for such things like peopleperhr etc
I was made redundant two years ago so I know how horrible it can be, it was completely out of the blue as well. Best thing to do is use any of the help they give you if any, my work gave us a care package for getting CV up together etc that I jumped straight on and started applying everywhere. I used it as an opportunity to move to London (hated it when I got there but met OH there so not too bad), could he use it as a positive rather than a negative? Is there something he's always wanted to do but couldn't? or hadn't thought of it?
Massive hugs *hugs* we're here for you if you need us xxDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
