January's Big Financial Freeze!!!

Hi everyone, didnt get to post yesterday as I was soooo tired, but Ive only one day left to work the early shift so thats keeping me going:)
Ive just had another 2 nsd's so they are clocking up nicely now, cant see it lasting indefinitely as Im running low on some vitals but I still have a lot of food in the cupboards.
Heating is now on and the old bones are thawing out slowly:) but Rosie is still outside with the heat pad on day and night, if it does snow here I think I will bring her inside. I have parked the car down the bottom of the road so if it does snow anymore (we have ony had a light dusting so far) I can hopefully get to work. I live up a hill and its all up and down here so gets a bit hairy when snows about:( and I really hate driving in the white stuff, anyway less about that ......
Getting cabin fever on the old crafting front so as I have nothing on the go at the moment, Im going to look through all my freebies of the front of sewing mags to see if theres something I fancy doing until I can afford some more wool, I dont know if anyone on here knits, crochets etc but the price of wool is astronomical (?sp) even the CS stuff is pricey.
Anyway hugs, kisses and pats on the back to all of us, I reckon this JBBF is working Kat and were all doing wonders so Im hoping to see a good difference in my OD at the end of the month:j

kerfuffle - it is kinda getting to me at the moment, was meant to be debt free in oct, but due to me being a bit lax and also some major financial stuff now i dont think i will be debt free till march, and i am meant to be saving for wedding. but seeing everyone's stories helpd me keep the faith. when things have to be done, you always find a way huh?
money jars - yep i have one yellow pig for any change less than 50p and a pink pig for anything more. they are to help for the holiday we plan to take.
not an nsd today as needed to do top up shop... which came to 50!!! arghhh only got 20 left! oh well needed some tooth stuff and I am very prone to gum disease so i have to have lots of stuff which costs the earth. cant live a life without smiling so investment i have to make. but on the plus my favourite toothpaste was half price YAY!IF YOU THINK YOU ARE SO CLEVER, THEN WHY ARE'NT YOU RICH?

Yallllllzaaaa!.......that's my food and fuel budget gone!
I have a full tank of fuel that usually lasts 2 weeks and a cupboard, fridge and freezer full of food. Any further spends will be over budget, but will hopefully be minimal.
I've never really budgeted before, so I am surprised how quickly my proposed budget of £350 for F&F has gone.......2 adults, 2 cats and a dog. Is £350 not enough or do I need to make some savings? (we do eat well!)
Bottom of the fridge soup cooking ATM along with a reduced spatchcock pouisson, roasted sweet potato and squash, curly kale and roast potatoes, followed by (bought, but reduced bread and butter pudding)
Bye for now.......and stay focussed!0 -

Can't report any more NSDs though. Hope you are all raring to go tomorrow for work!! Also, Beckyboo good luck for Tuesday and eager to hear how the hubby gets on - you will cope whatever happens. x

I have to get my craft on regularly, but since this was one of my overspend areas I have plenty of stash to work with :rotfl: just the odd bit of haberdashery here or there will keep me going for months.
I found this weekend quite hard for some reason. I'd planned a free/cheap weekend for me and the BF: brunch at home (banana pancakes) and steak for dinner (from SM yellow stickers) and then a free music event. Then HM fried brekkie today and a walk.
But the free music event was a suggested donation, they send a hat round at the end, and I felt a bit tight not putting anything in. So that's £10 (for two of us, he bought the beers) off my social budget, and a NSD blown! I need to work on my shamelessness!
And then today was a NSD, but I spent the whole day telling myself no in my head. No to breakfast out (BF very good in saying we have food int he house). No to take away this evening. No to popping into the SM to see if there was anything nice to be had. I won, but still I found it depressing. I wasn't feeling excited about debt-busting today.
On the up side I did list a LOAD of things on eBay. But the site is so rammed with people listing things I couldn't get it to upload any photos. So I have put them on without and will edit in the week.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Early morning greetings to you all.. just washed and ready for bed following overtime shift two this weekend and I don't feel so bad. Not staying long but wanted to check in and see how you were all doing - seems to be some serious determination coming along here!!!
Ebay items sold making me a measly £32 or thereabouts. However it's better than nothing and my massive hifi is leaving me for the grand total of £17. It was way to big anyway!
Right.. bed for me and Mog.. status updated with money made and NSD 9....
Bring on our third week!!!!
Onwards and Upwards!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Morning all, just a sprinkling of the white stuff here in Derbyshire this morning - how is it where you are? Hubby will be pleased as he needs to drive some way to the furniture auctions and is dropping me at work on the way. Son (6) will be disappointed as he was hoping for a day off school! Still there may be more to come.
Sorry I haven't been updating regularly, I seem to keep running out of time... This week I have only managed 3 more NSD. There has been SW where I bought the mag and a raffle ticket (and lost 1lb) and an unplanned trip to the co-op, a breakfast cob one day... a collection at work... I am going to budget my SW spends in feb as I haven't done so and need to. I buy a 12 week countdown which is due this week but also buy the monthly mag and a raffle ticket each week. I will resist buying further recipe books as I have enough! My co-op spend was a tough one as I got lots of reduced stuffdon't like to pass that up. I did my main shop at morrisons this week and spent £58 but had a voucher for £10 off £50
I have one for £12 off £80 which runs out on 25th jan and a £5 voucher from morrisons miles points so if I add it up right it will only come to £63 ish.
Sales on eBay came to £33 yesterday so I have added that to my monthly totalonly got a couple of bits relisted yesterday though so will try to do more in the week ready for next weekend. Hubby sold some stuff too so is a happy bunny.
I dusted off the bread maker last night and woke this morning to a lovely smellOff to sample a slice in a minute with houmous for breakie. I have homemade quick tomato soup for lunch (and 3 portions in the fridge). Also taking clementine, grapes, mug shot and yoghurt to see me through the day. All very SW (apart from the bread). Right ironing to do, so best get cracking.
Have a great day, I will catch up on your posts at lunchtime.

Morning all!
About an inch of snow here, not enough to get excited about but still enough for all the drivers to get their knickers in a twist!
Good weekend, trip to Mr A's and that was the only spend. We're quite stocked now for most foody bits, had a delivery from approved foods as well. First one and I am chuffed! Will certainly be doing that again! So I should only need meaty bits to see us through the rest of the month.
A few more bits gone on eBay this morning bringing the total earnings up a bit for the month. Buy I'm seriously scraping the barrel for stuff to sell now!
Should be a week of minimal spends. Got a birthday coming up and a cash gift has been requested so that's £20 (it's close family so I don't mind) but aside from that there's petrol in the tanks and food in the cupboards so hoping to rack up at least 5 more NSD's this week.
Happy Monday all :j:j0 -
I am on NSD 11 but my food budget is blown. Hopefully it'll last a while. Not made use of the free listing on ebay as I felt lousy over the weekend, but I'll prepare the items this week and list them as soon as it's free again. Sent of my camera today though and one item I sold on Friday.
Oh and I received two free full size bottle of shampoo and conditioner for a trialDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
