January's Big Financial Freeze!!!

Evening everyone
Ooh, good luck for tomorrow Marylea. Extra earning opportunities are always good.
Fab mobile contract mumsiemum. I'm on a £10.50 300mins/unlimited texts/500Mb SIM only package which I was rather proud of finding but I've recently had to really ration my calls (never used to talk like this when I had an all singing all dancing super expensive contract!!). The 0845 calls drive me mad as they're not included and I don't have a landline so they end up costing 35p per minute. I HATE paying for these as they are inevitably to companies that haven't done what they should or to query something that I shouldn't have to. I use saynoto0870 as much as possible and I have the 08 app on my iPhone but sometimes there is no alternative. Are there any other options out there that any of you wise MSE'rs know about?
I finally broke my NSD run and had a trip to the supermarket this evening. Hurrah, I can cook proper food again, rather than eat the strange concoctions I have made from what's lying around. I also stocked up on sparkling water. I've noticed that I am rubbish at drinking water and, since I find sparkling much easier to drink (it's what I have on the odd occasion I masquerade as an exciting person and have a night out!), I stocked up on some bottles. Interestingly, 80p for a 500ml bottle, 50p for a 2l bottle (same brand!) so I bought one small (for when I'm out and about) and some large ones for topping up!
So far...
NSD: 7
Spend: £14.43
Earned: £15
Found 11p
Soda bread consumption: stopped (trousers are now tight!)
Water consumption: starting slowly!0 -
Woohoo just found 5p on the desk in work, don't know who's it is but now it's mine and getting added to my extra income :rotfl:
So I am on NSD number 7, hope Wed, Thurs & Fri will all be NSDs too as I have no reason to buy anything until the weekend which will just be a small shop for supplies to take away with me
Is it sad that I am getting extremely impatient for payday... not because I want the money to spend, but because I can't wait to phone up B**clays and cancel my final overdraft :j??

morning all - a bit grey here but hopefully it'll cheer up later.
Yesterday ended up being a spend day because I saw my MIL's favourite toiletries on offer in the sales and bought a couple for her birthday - it's not until July but I had to take advantage of the offer as they don't normally discount stuff.
I then popped into the shop for some veg and found two or three reduced bits in the meat section which are now in my freezer. Still, it's all in the budget.Trying to keep in budget.

Morning all!
Checking in to confess yesterday's sins. Spent the vouchers and a bit more, well £28.00 more to be precise. I'm a bit annoyed at myself but there was an amazing sale on with 50% off everything I needed. And I asked myself, 'Do I need it?' The answer was yes. And if I hadn't have purchased it then, I would have done at the end of the month, when the sale wasn't on, and spent twice as much. I know I'm only trying to justify it to myself but just a bit annoyed at 'having' to spend money.
Anyway, budgets will be amended accordingly. Found 30p this morning and another item to eBay which should bring in a few quid, fingers crossed! and I AM NOT SPENDING ANY MONEY TODAY!
Hope everyone has a good day!0 -
Just in from an overtime shift so that's more in my pot!! DD1 has a party at the weekend and i need to get a card......contemplating making one so we stay within our NSD.
Off to bed in a minute. Fish out the freezer for tea. So no reason for me to spend. Meaning NSD 7. Get in!!! Right bed is calling me.

Loving all these confessions and desires. I have time to kill this afternoon between finishing work and heading to a meeting.. about 3.5 hours. I am due to meet a friend but if not I shall be heading to a bookshop (there is a pull of the transport museum - don't judge and stop laughing
).. cause there are books with ideas to earn money that I can read without buying ...mwah ha ha ha! :T... and Quidco check in's. But its not enough. I need to write more somewhere else as my other writing gig has been reduced from weekly to bi-weekly. Grr!..at a loss of £80 a month...:mad::mad:
Short of selling myself on a street corner as a walking billboard ( I know what you were thinking ) or converting my free space amongst my eBaying bits to cat-sit I am not at a loss as to what I can do.....dog-walking = not enough time, babysitting = I am not that desperate, nude modelling = no one wants to see this naked, .....right then...swagbucks it is I guess...:rotfl:
Onwards and Upwards!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Should be another NSD today. Found another 6p in shrapnel on the road yesterday, woohoo. Gonna sign up to my gym at coffee break and add that to my direct debits. It'll only cost me a month what I used to smoke in 4 days :0DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

Morning all - the best way to sign use swagbucks is to set up different email account for them all to go to, it will stop your inbox getting clogged.0

Morning all!
A NSD yesterday and today should be one too!
Planned my menu for next week and did a shopping list yesterday.
Looka like the overtime at work will be paid in time-in-lieu though they may be a financial bonus too. TBH I'd appreciate the time off more than cash as that just gets swallowed up by tax etc. and Hubby gets 4 more days hols than I do so more days off togetherWon't help me make any money though.
Need to do some adpoints tonight, I only make 100-150pts a week at the moment but that's 50p-75p and it all adds up. I've £17 on my nectar card from adpoints and linking it to ebay0 -

Few tips:
1. Create a separate e mail address to use.
2. Never give out your phone number
3. Use the referral board on here to sign up
4. Keep an eye on the following - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4366475 Others often report codes and offers that credit (not all of them do all of the time!)
It really is pretty easy once you get in the swing of it, just a bit boring and time consuming. I usually manage a fiver a week on average, if i'm hitting it hard it can be double that. If you do sign up and have any questions give me a shout, be happy to help0
