I'll sign up to our uni's gym tomorrow. All this talk about exercise got me motivated. I used to go running but don't really have the time after work and at lunch time is not good as I don't want to run in the middle of town. It's another spend (I'll shuffle budgets, direct debit reduces cost and it's subsidised for staff) but some girls from work are going too so that they can drag me along ;)

Made some money too but can't withdraw it from TCB till the 17th so won't add it just yet. Don't think any of my ebay items will shift either :(

Planned spend day for me today - £4.69 food and £6 hair cut for DS.

Work this am. Loads of people off with that horrid virus and chest infections etc. Found a penny so thats in my pot ;)

I have changed my mobile contract to sim only with everything I need for £8 (inc VAT) per month. A saving of £17 per month :p

Just off to make a vat of spaggy bol for tea tonight with LO to freeze. :D

I seem to be having unplanned spend days! Only spent £6.00 but still, post office was essential but then decided i really wanted fish for tea, I've got food in the house i could of had!

Lets see if tomorrow can be a NSD, i don't need anything but sure i'll find an excuse! My trouble is I get bored in the house all day job hunting so have to do things to keep me sane!

    Eh xx
  • Hi all

Was sooooooo tempted to go to John Lewis this pm - had an unexpected free afternoon. Fancied looking at the knitting wool.... BUT I DIDN"T!!!! So another NSD notched up. Thanks to you all and amazing motivation on here.

  • Spend-y day for me today, trip to 4ldi (£16.14) and then a couple of unplanned spends to post a belated Christmas card to a friend in the US, and then a couple of things from hobbycraft. Only £6 or so, but it's those kind of spends I need to keep an eye on. I've taken it off my "social" budget, as a bit of a penalty.

In my defense the hobbycraft stuff was some thread and zip to make a new pencil skirt for work (and thus not buying a pencil skirt, all the other materials come from my stash so actually super cheap). And then something from the sale which will be the basis of a friend's birthday present in a couple of months.

And while I'm here: Beckyboo, sorry to hear about the redundancy possibility, but if you're planning for the worst you'll be best placed to deal with it if it does come to it. Will be hoping for you that it doesn't.

Hugs Beckyboo - we are all keeping our fingers crossed for you xx

Today was first real day back at work - I took my own lunch and so today is now officially NSD 7. I am so proud of myself and its getting so that I REALLY dont want to break this chain!

I have broken the 200 barrier in adpoints and have updated my signature. Tonights aim is to list a few more ebay items - I am ever the optimist! Keep going everyone - we are only a week away from the half way point. xx

Hello all still at NSD 7 I needed shopping £57 spent then my bike broke and I had to pay £20 for a new tyre !!!! and my washing machine broke. I have made £90 on ebay. I think my ebay money will have to be spent on a washing machine. will get some more stuff on there pronto. Hope you are all having a good day p0lly x

I think it is late enough in the day for me to call it a NSD! I'm going to a friend's tonight and will take a bottle of wine.....bought out of the Food+Fuel budget!

I am really please with my NSDs so far.......meal planning seems to be the key, I make sure I have enough food with me at work so there is no need to buy anything else, and make sure there are meals in the fridge and freezer at home.
I looked at some clothes at lunchtime.......but decided the £100 (whilst being a bargain reduced from £250) was better in my bank account rather than on clothes that I don't actually need.

Job interview tomorrow for a temporary promotion! Fingers crossed as the extra money would be nice for 3 months......and sometimes these things do drag on for longer.

    Bye for now
