A long time lurker here - tempted out of lurkdom to join this fab challenge! :T

Well done NSK on such a great challenge and to all those taking part - there is a lot of positivity here :)

  • Wow, it's half five and I've managed a nsd, finally. Taking me to 4 so far this month.
I've had a bit of a 'meh' day. Woke up planning to enjoy my last day off before the dreaded W word tomorrow, but the kids were both winding me up so I abandoned plans to take them anywhere at all.
As a result I've not left the house. Sat on my butt, reading, being on here, watching telly and wondering what on earth I'll be able to wear to work tomorrow, as I appear to have gained so much weight over Christmas that nothing fits any more.
The nsd's should start flowing properly once I'm back at work that's for sure.

  • Evening all!

Ninno - We're all here together, and we're all here to help! Glad you're feeling a bit better. You know now you've got it all down in red, when you see those figures change it feels so good. Without the bitter, the sweet just isn't as sweet!

So not a nsd for me, as bread making was an epic fail I had to go to the rip-off (co- op) for a loaf. Could have been worse. I spent the morning training (run and bike) and felt so shattered after I went for a nap. Woke up 20 mins ago..... lalala..... was gonna try the bread making again but the oven is full with dinner so may leave it till next weekend seen as we have a loaf in now anyway.

    Hi Everyone!

Just checking in for the weekend. Had a few blips yesterday but feeling on top of things today... Last night was great - friend's leaving do as she is moving away for a few years - but a great opportunity.

Today I've not done a great deal besides chores. I'm having a real mental block on moving forward with my plans at the moment. It's like... I know what I need to do - but my enthusiasm to do them just drains out of somewhere. Will just have to get on and do - and try and switch off my resistances!

    Today = NSD number 4

OH is currently in the kitchen making his first ever pasty :) I wait expectantly for some yummy dinner! We had a planned spend day today, food shop day it was. We spent the entire weekly budget, but as we didn't buy anything last week I'm not fussed. We topped up on OH's coffee whilst it's on offer, he only drinks the stuff you have to filter yourself and there were a few cupboard bits that were needed. Incidentally, as we seem to spend £4 a week on it, does anyone know where to get cheaper fresh juices? Not the from concentrate stuff as it tastes quite fake. We learned the other day that making it yourself is more expensive as it uses lots of oranges!

Are you sure that you are not me? Thats my day exactly tomorrow - although our training day finishes early at 1:30pm so it makes the first day back a little more bearable!

Welcome to the madness Bobbins11 - I'll warn you now - you'll get hooked!

I gave, at last, got some ebay movement - two items totalling £5.98 plus postage so far with interest from France for my designer handbag which finishes tomorrow lunchtime. I know that Sunday at 8pm is supposed to be the best time but sometimes the work lunch period does deliver results - all those "bored at the computer" I guess.

My nectar search bar has delivered another 13 points - not great but its edging up. I'm just waiting to be able to start the adpoints tomorrow - somehow I have just missed those pesky adverts!!

Off now to enjoy (?) Dancing on Ice - well - its free!!

    Keep going everyone xx

Hoorah Hoorah Hoorah! a no spend day for me! (that makes 4!) and I batched cooked some curry and soup last night and popped a gammon joint in the slow cooked overnight! I feel GOOD!

My NSD resolve slipped yesterday......spent £12.50 I didn't need to! Oh well, it is early days, I feel bad so hopefully I will learn by this mistake.

All meals planned for this week...curry, soup and gammon! and minimal food spend is needed perhaps just some more fruit mid week.

Onwards we go, thanks for all the posts everyone, it helps to know others are going through the same.

Clocking in with my 3rd NSD - Sundays are always good because all the shops are shut.
Next weeks meals are planned and I've done the pack ups for the childrens' lunches already. We still have a lot of fresh veg, might have to get a bit more fruit but I am really hoping for no more spends until Friday's shopping day.
    Trying to keep in budget.
