Feeling dispirited but in control - off to load up the slow cooker with a sausage casserole for tonight. Sorry to be so down on such an uplifting thread. Hugs to everyone xx
It is really tough when you see it in black/white & red!! but hopefully that's the hardest bit done. It is good having it all recorded because as you make savings and payments you will be able to see the progress you are making. You sound really organised and will beat this thing!!!
It is an upbeat thread at the moment but I'm sure there will be times when each of us feel down and need a virtual hug and support from each other. That's why we are here to cheer each other along, pick each other up when we are down and celebrate each others sucesses (sp?). So HUGE hug for you and well done on surviving the 'getting it down on paper (or spreadsheet) bit!! :TFebruary 2021 GC £301.45 / £300.00

Thankyou mumsiemum - I feel like a bit of a fraud now. I have just taken the dogs out for a walk in lovely sunshine, come home to a warm house with the smell of casserole cooking and about to reheat some homemade ham and veg soup - what on earth do I have to be down about????
I am officially announcing the end of my (hopefully) short down period!! This afternoon I am focussing on getting ready to return to work tomorrow where there will not be time to moan (about money anyway!) or spend!
Today is NSD number 5 - and I have just found some free drinks vouchers for M & S amongst my clutter - I send some of them to my parents but have kept three and will allocate the £7.50 worth to my penny gathering. Suddenly life is not that bad after all!!44 day challenge

Hi all and good afternoon from a grey place (but no rain)
Ninno glad you feel a little better and will join you in the penny gathering success! DS1 got the hammer out to my 'mums pamper pot' and helped me count £15.00 into little bags and the rest is in a smaller jar for later. Now have £25 so hit one target !
I have finally completed a claim for Tax for union subs and prof fees for the last 4 years so fingers crossed may have something to come back?
Think I may need to go out for a walk this afternoon to clear the cobwebs as working for the whole week so opportunities limited.

Oooh - well done - you've reminded me that I need to do this as well - thanks
Oh - and sorry to rub this in - but I have had to move the computer out of position to avoid the sun in my eyes! I think that it might be starting to cloud over if that makes you all feel any happier!44 day challenge

I haven't left the house today - so yay no spending here...
I redeemed a £10 voucher for the arcadia group which will be useful as I'm bound to need some 'work' clothes for my placement.... (The other options were even naffer)...
I have an interview for my placement tomorrow - so I will be good, and nsd except for train fair (works out cheaper to do it daily as I'm only in 4 days a week...)
I always find it amazing how when I have essies to write I can spend hours on here updating - and yet don't manage to get any of my actual word count done.... I wonder why that is.... At least I used to procrastinate and clean...
