if they are that old have you tried facebook? that way you don't need to post them and people will have less information available about what else might be available....

Noooooo! Don't do itttttttt
Evening campers. So I shopped spent and cooked. Got all my lunches sorted for the next 2 weeks, cooked and frozen. Rice was a massive success! Thank you so much, came out perfect and it was 40p for a big bag, still got half of it left!!!
Bread? Not so much. I followed a recipe and the dough was too sticky. Added double the amount of flour the recipe stated and it's slightly better. I'm leaving it to rise, then punching the carp out of it then leaving it again then cooking it. Might be ready by midnight.....
What's everyone up to this evening?0 -
Hi all hope you are enjoying the weekend. we are having chinese for tea courtesy of hubby selling an old chair for £16
Citizenkitten - The Vegetarian Society defines a vegetarian as: "Someone who lives on a diet of grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits with, or without, the use of dairy products and eggs. A vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish* or by-products of slaughter."
So, I choose to eat eggs and only buy free range ones. Your friends may not so it is best to avoid or check first.
Bread shop today and online shop at asda with free delivery code. Roughly 75 all in and should have 2 weeks of cat food and enough pasta for the month in at that. Will update totals when it has been delivered.
We have been looking at holidays for Easter and trying to find a bargain! I am thinking of setting myself a target of making the money back on eBay before we go... Wonder if I could, that's 3 months. Also realised I have more in my PayPal account than expected, about 170 which is a huge bonus and can go towards it. Thought it was less than 100 :j
Right off to see if anything is selling!
This is day 5 of no alcohol in our house. Can't remember the last time we managed this long lol! I just say I am having an alcohol free month to friends but then we don't go out much which makes it easier.
We are having a few days of rearranging furniture. We have got rid of some old furniture upstairs and will be using some of mums bedroom furniture in the spare room. Plan is to convert granny annex (former double garage) into a store room and office for hubby's studying and eBay business and my Avon etc. Everything is a tip at the moment but it will be great when it is done'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'0 -
NSD mumber 4 for me Wohoo!! It was a bit touch and go this pm as DH, DS (15) and me went out for a walk. Halfway there DS announces he 'forgot' to eat lunch and was 'really' hungry  In normal circs we would zip into a shop and get something). As I am on JFF without the rest of the family knowing (secret debt to pay off - long story but 80% paid off now and hoping to be debt free by Easter - sooner if JFF goes well
) I spent the rest of the walk resigning myself to the thought of today becoming a spend day and having to buy a sarnie for him. Anyway nearing the end of the walk he decided he fancied tomato soup (which i had at home!!) and very happy when I told him that I had made bread this morning too
So a NSD for me Yipee!!!
Sorted out the fridge veg drawers this morning and made 'bottom of the fridge' soup - I now have 5 lunches to take to work, and roasted root veg curry (2 portions left over for freezer) There was a time when this veg would have just been left to rot and then chucked out. I can't believe how much food it has turned into!!
Sorry to ramble - but this challenge is turning into a real eye opener in terms of what can be done with some focus and enthusiam (sp?) Thanks Kat!February 2021 GC £301.45 / £300.00

What a way to spend a Saturday night! Just spent over an hour going through my shopping list of what I need for next week, labelling it with what I pay for it at Tesco (Everyday value lots of it), so that when I go to Lidls on Monday I can check I am definately paying less. As I pass both supermarkets on the way home, if there are bits that are cheaper at Tesco I can then call in there afterwards on the way home. Determined the supermarkets are not going to screw me out of my pennies!!!!!!!! Feel very satisfied now my list is complete and ready to print out.
Also completedanother big financial job I have been hiding from for a long time. Completed a spreadsheet with a sheet for income, a sheet for all our direct debits and outgoings and a sheet showing all our loans and credit cards. Have dated down the side with target amounts to pay off each month so that I can see when each debt should be paid off. Felt great to have tackled but depressing to see that even if we manage to pay £350 of our ccs each month we still wont be debt free for well over 2 yearsJust seems soooooooo far away.
Only answer to speed that up is to spend less and make more, so going to try and channel that into spending even less and making more. Surprisingly (because most things were relists) have managed to make £45.99 on ebay tonight and hubby has been a star today chasing some freelance design work. Not sure when he's actually going to sleep as he already works so many hours but we know it will be worth it in the end! Just have to keep fingers crossed that those jobs carry through now.
Have also convinced my mum (who has absolutely no interest in price comparing her receipts!!!) to save them for me so I can put them through the Tesco price compare website to get some extra vouchers. She spends an obscene amount in Tesco each week (well over £120 a week for her, her partner and 2 dogs!!!) so hoping those should be quite fruitful each week. Felt really cheeky asking her but I am rapidly losing shame as I get more and more obsessed with this challenge! Another NSD for me today making 4 for me in total and still looks good for tomorrow too:j
Also been invited to family's for lunch tomorrow so thats another meal I can put back in the freezer for later in the month. Always get fed VERY well there!!!
My posts always seem to be sooooooo long! Sorry :embarasse

Hi everyone, well another nsd for me:), its easy when you go to work, get tired out and come straight home!!! done without bread the last few days as cant be bothered to put BM on and havent seen a potato for a couple of days either. Took cous cous to work for break, and had HM curry for dinner tonight, taking fried rice for break at work the next two days, made using rice left over from curry, used an egg, some peas and quorn and put in a bit of soy sauce, its tasty Ive tried a bit already:rotfl:
Still feel rough but I'll keep taking the tablets:( went to bed really early last night and that really helped.
Signing off and going for a lurk around the boards, have a good weekend, unfortunately Im working until Tuesday, but then Im off 3 days
