You used your oats as your HEB the same as I do but then used your snack (chocolate oatley) as your HEA.
I've been counting the milk I use to make my porridge as my HEA.

Bad day...very bad day.
To be honest it's the first truly bad food day I've had but still..disheartened today.
Started off well with a bowl of porridge and a banana (HeB, 1/2 HeA)
Then down hill after work
Pack of special k biscuit moments 5 syns
Pack of foam sweets @1 syn each = probs 20
lunch: wholemeal sandwich (2nd heb) and banana
after a really rubbish interview:
yogurt 3syn
last of the foam sweets 10syn
now I'm in a funk and I have toothache. Not going to let it get to me tomorrow.
Writing today off completely - not even worrying or thinking about it and will start afresh tomorrow.
Plan for tomorrow as i am out all morning for a job interview:
breakfast: bran flakes (HeB) and satsuma+banana - having the branflakes dry cos i like the crunch haha
snack (on train): satsumas
lunch (once home again): wholemeal roll (2nd HeB) with ham I think and a satsuma (can you tell i have loads that need eating?!)
Tea: hm pizza - half = 12syn, cheese as HeA. Chicken as the topping with tomato puree
I want some new scales for the kitchen as ours were really cheap and I'm not convinced they are weighing properly. I ideally want some digital ones I think
After tomorrow I will reintroduce sweet treats again, although just remembered supposed to be out for dinner on saturday. bah bad days put me right off the whole week!************************************

Books look amazing when they are covered
(those that aren't going to group, google the award for every 1/2 stone /7lb you lose you earn one. Google the image and keep it in a folder.. keep track!:D)
We had a gluten free lady who managed, no though you DON'T have to go to group, but you might find better help there. 1st step is always the hardest.
Sharalee. If you stay off the scales - I will. I'll have a glass of wine on sunday to mark my achievement. What you having?
Frogga. Now look 'ere you.:D Yes the plan works. It works a hell of a lot better when your starting weight is in double figures. It's quite down heartening to see the weight loss slow from the big 3/4/5lbs a week to .5 or sts and gains. I've lost 6 and a half, over 7 if you count my gains now too. I got myself into such a stress-flap because I was doing everything right.
I stopped having syns entirely - that had to work right? No. Reverse logic there... I made myself ill. I didn't stop eating.. I just stuck free and superfree.
I enjoyed Christmas totally. While still counting I let myself relax a little.
I'm better now.
I want to eat what I like. Yes. I want to eat healthy and be fit. Both can be done on plan. You know that.
I'll raid the chocolate now heck even have crisps and pizza... there are stressful days that NEED chocolate and want alcohol. But I really don't sit down to the meal and think.."this won't show" - more "Yes I can have this but hell I am going to have to work hard for the rest of the week to keep in my dresses.:rotfl:
Mentally, my approach to food has changed, stubborness not to go backward too. I certainly refuse to embrace the "lost it all before so what the hell I can do it again when I need to" mind set that I have seen at my old group.
Perhaps SW has made me a little too "responsible" toward food? A Bit to boring.
A little gain isn't evil. You are allowed to have some nice stuff here and there.
Your fear is your own worst enemy. Why let it rule you?
Pennylane. Your muscles will retain water while they develop and grow during exercise. Drink more and reduce the body's instinct to store. ALSO. If you are increasing your exercise watch that you don't set a panic off. Body will do that if you don't have enough fat store, and stopre every possible calorie just incase you decide to have a fitness freak out moment! Speaking from experience, (again God I am such a busy body) just make sure you are getting enough to support the exercise.
Caterina Thats right, I hope you enjoyed your evening one bad day doesn't mean a bad week - unless you let it be.
Thanks for your post. Do you reckon 30-45 mins walking a day could have that effect?0 -
Any suggestions for a yummy sin free coating for chicken drumsticks please, just doing a shopping list“most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0

You're not, forgot to mention that I make my porridge with water. I have breakfast at work and they don't have dairy free milk therelushlifesaver wrote: »I want some new scales for the kitchen as ours were really cheap and I'm not convinced they are weighing properly. Can't bring myself to use the dodgy hug, so have some kisses instead... :kisses:
Check out Argos, I noticed a nice looking set of digital scales half price in the clearance if they have any in stock near you. Quite tempted to get them myself, I have to argue with my current scales to get them to turn on.

ETA: 6 syns for half a tiny box of Guylian seashells left from yesterday. Plus 1 for a tiny bit of peppercorn sauce from dinner and the 1 already mentioned from breakfast, so that's 8 for the day. Not too bad, all things considered.0 -

Hi All, I've been enjoying reading the thread but not really managed to post. Bit of a disappointment this week as I stayed the same, but I had a big loss week 1 and I guess my body's still getting used to the new regime (plus the snow meant 2 days housebound when I would normally have walked into town & back). I didn't dwell on it though and pleased to say I didn't comfort eat to get over it!
Today (green) I had:
B: porridge & skimmed milk (A&B)
S: nectarine
L: chargrilled courgette, peppers & onion with 25g RF halloumi (3), FF yoghurt
S: 2 x alpen light (B), cherriescheesy broccoli & potato bake from the comfort food booklet - loads of veg incl broccoli, cauliflower, peas & cherry toms used my second A for the cheese, FF yoghurt
Currently having a large glass of wine with the rest of my syns :-)
Fingers crossed for a better result next Tuesday & well done to all of you who have lost or maintained.

Can I join your group?
When I was 17 I was 14st 9lbs I joined slimming world and got down to 12st 10lbs then Christmas came and I stupidly stopped going so never reached my target weightthis was a massive mistake. That was 10 years ago how scary that it was that long ago. During the last 10 yrs the lowest i've got down to was 12st 3lbs and felt great. However 3 months ago I was just under 14st again
I kinda did slimming world at home and got down to lower end of 13st but then again Christmas came and hey presto feel tubby again. HOWEVER... I'm getting married in May this yr and I wanted to be 11st Something... I dont think I have a chance in hell of achieving that anymore before the wedding. I bought my wedding dress at 13st something tried in on the other day again having put on weight and feel that I look massive in it and feel deflated and fed up. The wedding stress is having a counter productive effect on me. SO I think it's time to get back on the slimming world boat however the thought of walking back through the doors makes me feel sick like the sick feeling you get before an exam
. Help
:( I'm useless. My OH just doesnt get it either he is supportive but doesnt see it.

Hello hello.
Been here before a year or so ago but gave up as was not seeing results.
SW messes with my logical mind but I've decided to give it another go and have paid for 12 weeks up front so I HAVE to do it.
2 weeks in
Lost 5.5 first week
STS this.
If I've lost 10lbs after 12 weeks then I'll continue. If not, I won't.
Not overly concerned about STS this week as went to London for girly weekend and whilst being as good as I could, I slipped off plan on Saturday (and Sunday breakfast). Today I had to have a gastroscopy so couldn't eat all morning. Was late afternoon before I could so I reckon that lunch was very much "still on board" for weigh-in tonight.
Also, I missed both spin classes due to the snow.
Onwards and ?downwards?0
