  • Well, I ended up taking yesterday (anniversary) off. Didn't splurge too badly, but didn't want to worry about syns as it's only once a year. Thoroughly enjoyed having a full size dessert for a change. :o

Back on track today. May use some syns later on, but not concerned if it's a low syn day...

Breakfast: Porridge (HEB + 1 for syrup) with a banana and coffee
    Lunch: Chicken and salad
Snack: Have fruit on hand if needed
Dinner: Not sure yet, need to shop on the way home. DH has asked me to make the steak frites from the SW calendar, so maybe that if the steak looks good. Bonus is that it's free without the sauce!
    Snack: Chocolate Oatley (HEA)

Had another positive comment about my weight loss today. Took ages (3 stone) to get the first one but have had a few recently, which is nice. :D

I recommend the new 5:2 diet that is sweeping the nation - see http://52fastdiet.co.uk or thefastdiet dot co dot uk. The original Horizon BBC programme is good too if you can find an online link.

I had my 3rd weigh in last night and lost 1.5lbs giving me a total loss of 8lbs. I was really chuffed and got very excited when I was a sticker and certificate - I'm easy to please :D

Had lunch at pizza express sprung on me today. Had a bit of a panic as I had no idea what the syn values were for anything there. After a quick google I decided I'd have the cannelloni as it's 10.5 syns (I really hope that's right) and I had the mixed salad with it too. I put a bit of balsamic vinegar on the salad. Is that free or does it have syns?

Anyway I'm pleased that I managed to go out for lunch and stay on track. I'm still within my syns (unless balsamic vinegar has 4.5 or more syns) and the best thing is I don't have to figure out what to have for dinner as I've already eaten my main meal.

Balsamic vinegar (like all vinegars) is totally free!!

anychance, that crumpet would go a long way with beef & black bean or wine? Are you sure you really need it? I know wht I'd choose.

Hi, :) No i definitely don't need it ;) but I find I need some sort of luxury each day or I know one day I will blow it all im trying to avoid the all or nothing route I usually take :o

I have counted my syns for each day
    Tues - 11 1/2
    Wed - 4
    Thurs - 7
    Fri - 5

Which leaves a total of 32 1/2 syns
If I add sat syns 15 its a total of 47 1/2 syns for the day :D

So I could spend those on chicken and sweetcorn soup (7.5)
beef in black bean sauce (5) prawn crackers x 10 (3) red wine (16)
    vege chow mein 8.5 = 40 syns.

That was my plan anyway :)

Good thinking, that's exactly what syns are for. Enjoy!!! and:T on planning ahead that's the best advice of all for SW.

I know philly light is on an A but does that include the garlic one?
    Thanks in advance x

Ive not been doing the plan for long and hoping after this week has settled down i will be able to really get into it. Im determined not to get stuck in the rut this time and experiment with different meals.
