I had my first treat night on Saturday. I had homemade pizza which was amazing. I’m a bit disappointed with myself though as I then had half a bottle of Prosecco and 6 hotel choclat chocolates (the chocolate alone was 27 syns ). I weighed myself this morning and I’ve put 1lb on. So now I’m trying to lose that and an extra half pound before my next weigh in on Wednesday night.

So far I’ve had weetabix for breakfast, melon as a snack and homemade vegetable and chicken soup for lunch. I have a mullerlight and some more fruit for the rest of the day and then I think I’ll have a quorn stir fry for dinner. I’ve also been making sure I drink plenty of fluid.

    So fingers crossed!

I used to be a member of the hotel chocolate members club. I had to cancel my subscription as i have zero control when it comes to their chocolates. They are so divinely yummy its unbelievable.. :o

Macpep, I know you were eating up something from the freezer but I thought 5 was excessive for a sausage!;) I use the Sainsbury's Be Good to Yourself Extra Lean Pork Cumberland Sausages, 8 pack, chilled, 57g each. They're just half a syn each. Thought it might help those who don't have local butchers selling SW sausages.
    .

2 x Beef links, so I thought 5 per sausage was about correct. :eek:I normally use the tesco light choices cumberland sausages which are also 1 syn but as this was supposed to be our Christmas Eve treat we used "real" sausages, us Scots like our beef links :rotfl:

I guess it will tell when I weigh myself on Wednesday, although AF due this week :(

What about saving some syns and using olive oil as your B choice? Since you low carb anyway, I'm guessing you're probably used to not having grain based foods and wouldn't miss them too much. I don't have my books here but from memory, I'm pretty sure it's 1tb extra virgin olive oil on EE and maybe green as well.

Yes olive oil is a hexB on both green and red, and in theory I could have two tablespoonfuls because I do green days, sometimes red when I have fish/

However, because I add it in small quantities 1 tsp at a time mostly is ok, at 2 syns and I can spread it for most meals eg. 1 tsp to dress soup, one for salad, one for frying an egg (just an example) and then can use the hexesB for other stuff.

I don't miss bread but occasionally a couple of ryvitas would be nice with my egg, or a bowl of porridge!

Thank you for your suggestion though, I really appreciate the support!

    Me so far today:

    B. Dry fried egg, baked beans, dry fried mushrooms, tea.
    S. Activia fig (3.5)
    L. Pasta peas and onion soup, salad w mozzarella & 1.5tsp oil, nat. yogurt with nuts and 3 prunes (1st hexA, 1st hexB, 4)
    S. Celery sticks with 40g half fat cheddar (2nd hexA)
    D. Aduki beans and veg soup, 2 tsp olive oil (4)
    S. One small bowl soup, no oil so free, banana with yogurt (1)

Have a good rest of the day all

Edited to update on full day food diary at end of day.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Hello all! It has been a while since I've been here so I'll reintroduce myself - did slimming world myself at the start of 2012, then found out I was expecting a gorgeous baby! Then decided to cook up a freezer full of slimming world food for when I could start the diet again this January 2013 having just given birth to aforementioned baba!

Congratulaions Ammonite and :hello: welcome back, I remember you having a difficult time with intolerences, I would say if you look at a 50lb loss, its only 1lb a week for a year, is it wheat you cannot tolerate, I know someone who used to have a Warburtons Thin instead of WM bread or Pitta if thats any help, she was in a similar situation & she still lost. Anyway hope you and bubba are doing well & good luck on your SW journey, I too am just back "properly"

Afternoon all. Well that snow is still falling here although it has now slowed down to very fine stuff more like that nasty drizzly rain that gets you soaked. Son was in school today as the academy hired extra staff to make sure all foot paths were cleared and gritted so no kids home as the other one made it in to work even if it was a slower journey than usual.

Hope everyone else is ok during this time.

    Meals today are EE.
    B, apple and banana.
L, mushroom and onion omlette with 1/3rd tin of toms.
T, jacket spud with tuna huge side salad and a tub of melon and grapes.
Hea milk, Heb 2 nimble. Low low 2.5 syns, greek mullerlight 0.5syns
Syns 1/2 slice of white bread from 800g loaf, 1tbsp butter (guessing 6.5 syns and amount of butter as was in a cafe)
:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

    DD 1994, DS 1996 AND DS 1997

Lost 3st 5lb with Slimming world so far!!
  • How we all doing?
Manic here. Plenty of snow, making sure everything I usually do gets cancelled. Funnily the moment it stopped the cancellations started :D

I made up a batch of chicken stew yesterday, ready for a weeks worth of lunches.
Yesterday's dinner was a rather nice home made cottage pie, with left overs for some CBA day in the future. :D
    Tonight is Creamy Chicken Pasta.
glad to see many new faces - and those that are thinking of joining groups... Reveal has a voucher in this week :D

Well I've had a bit of a "disaster darling".

Pleased with my 5.5 lbs loss on Thursday's WI, I relaxed a bit on Friday night and had half a bottle of sparkling wine. But that was just the beginning. Left on my own, my malt whiskey was calling my name. So I had a large one as a nightcap. Still bored and on my own, I had another one. Now my willpower was weakened with the alcohol, and I had some dark Green and Blacks choc with it :o

I felt so guilty Saturday, I was scared to weigh myself. I was good on Saturday, so weighed myself yesterday. Shock, horror, I had put back on 3 lbs of that 5.5lbs loss

I was very down about it yesterday, so was strict with myself, even though I had run out of oranges! I even refused any wine at all when my wife opened a bottle last night and put a glass in front of me.

It was with great trepidation that I stepped on the scales this morning. But was pleasantly surprised to see them register a 4lb loss since yesterday. Phew, so I'm back on track and feeling more positive again.

    Today
    B. muller light yog with 30g muesli ( HexB)
    S. Orange
    L. Baked potato with SW coleslaw
    D. Chicken and veg casserole.

STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALES :p

Joking aside it really does not pay to weigh every day as your weight can fluctuate hour to hour never mind day to day. Its much better to weigh just once a week. Don't think me holier than thou as I am not immune to weighing more than once a week but know from experience how gutting the gain can be when all you've done is have an extra drink or a couple of biscuits. So I advocate ONCE a week only :D
Don't beat yourself up theres no way you can put on 3lb of fat over night its probably only water so will go as easily as it went on, good luck :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
