Morning All,
It's now 18 days since I jumped back on the SW wagon and I'm a bit worried. I have lost 7 st in all, but I put 2st back on in December. Yes, 2 stone in a month, that wasn't a typing error
I 'm worried because I'm not losing it as quickly as I thought I would. I think I'm eating too much? I should keep faith as I do know it works, but I'm a bit panicked that I won't lose it again.
On week one I lost 6lb. Then last week only 1 1/2lb. I had a quick look this am and I haven't lost anymore, WI is on tuesday.
I'm eating HUGE B, L and T and snacking on LOADS of fruit. I've been trying to aviod feeling hungry as that'll be when I cave in. I've had my HEA and HEA everyday, weighing what I should, and sticking to it exactly to plan. Please reassure me that it will work. This time I really want to get there, but I've still got 4 st to go and I'm frightened that it wont happen??Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hello - do you mind if I ask some advice please. I have tried SW in the past and however much I thought I was doing it right I just never lost any weight.
I used to go to class every week (for months and months both times) and in the end I was told that perhaps it just wasn't for me.
I'm thinking of having another go....?
Can you let me have some ideas for breakfasts and lunches at work please as I seem to remember that these were my sticking points. If I am in office I have access to a microwave but sometimes have to eat out.
Thanks very much
Kath

My favourite is Asda SP oats. I like the texture far more than Scotts or Quaker.
Were you given a target book lush? I must admit I haven't really followed the extra HEXs thing for maintenance I'd rather have a few extra syns. So I've reintroduced some recipes with 'synful' ingredients to our menu as I used to eat virtually syn free all week. Things like cornflour or wine in gravy and sauces or a bit of extra cheese (:) HEA). I now (lazily) have McCain Rustic chips occasionally instead of making SW. I've also gone back to having a small juice with my breakfast as I missed it. I'm also not so careful when eating out. That's what suits me. I wanted to avoid introducing snacky syns (biscuits, sweets, crisps etc) as for me they'd be harder to control.rainbowfairydust wrote: »Have a google of the slimming eats blog. I'd go for a sandwich or cereal with a banana for breakfast. For lunch home made soups or deliberately keeping a portion of LO from the night before to reheat. When the weather gets warmer (!!!) then I like pasta or rice salads.
frogga, you CAN eat loads on SW just be sure you stick to the 'at least a third SFs' and you should be fine. It's quite common to settle into a 1 to 1.5lbs loss after intitial large loss. IMO that's the best way as it's easily maintained.
I've been largely off plan and largely off eating in recent weeks due to infection/antibiotics and losing my appetite. Starting to feel (from my jeans) that I'm getting back up to target range. I must go to group and find out for sure.0 -
Hey everyone, I joined SW on 09/01/2013. This is the first time I've joined a slimming club, so still getting used to what I can/can't eat freely, but somehow I managed to lose 5lb in my first week doing the EE plan.
I was shocked, in a good way as didn't expect that much! I know it's unrealistic to expect that much every time, so a good steady loss in future is what I'm aiming for.
It's really encouraging to read about everyones weight loss successes on this healthy eating plan, and I'm definately motivated to lose some weight, so here's to reaching target!Keep going, don't lose motivation!0 -

I agree with maman, my biggest weight loss was the intial one of 4.5lb had the odd 4lb loss but mostly 1.5 - 2lb. I lost 1.5st the 2nd time around losing 1 - 1.5lb on average at a time and still got to target. Probably slower than you would like but then this isn't an instant fix but a lifetime commitment :A. Good luck frogga you will get there.
WI and sts, not totally unexpected as * week and a change of pill last week as well as toilet issues. Also son's Birthday hm chocolate cheesecake didn't help or the small bit of Mum's Birthday cake yesterday
. Oh well new day today.
More snow forecast today, wonder if school will be open tomorrow?
Stay safe all and keep the faith :A:A:AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Had my weigh in today - gained the pound I lost last week, so in two weeks I have lost exactly zilch and weigh the same as when I joined at the beginning of the month. Gutted. Am going to try green/original days this coming weeks as the EE plan is simply not helping me to lose weight. Have given up alcohol, crisps, cheeses - everything I love - and it hasn't made a difference. Lets hope a different plan will help x
I feel your pain MrsO, EE doesn't work well for me either, I mostly do green as I'm a carb freakbut I do add superfrees to most meals even though on green you don't need to. The extra HE's are great too. A change of plan like you say may be what you need. Good luck.

Is 100% back on track now.
Today is an EE day.
B, 2 sausages (1syn), 2 eggs, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes.
S, grapes.
L, indian spiced tomato soup. apple.
T, roast beef, pots, broccoli, green beans, sprouts.
S, 2 x nimble (hea) low low (2.5 syns) banana.
Hea milk in coffee.
Hope everyone is ok during this horrible weather. Snow started here at 9am and hasnt stopped since. Hoping the school doesn't open for my son in the morning as the heating doesn't work too well and he said friday he has shivering wearing his t-shirt, school shirt, hoody and blazer while trying to sneak his coat on over the top! Not wanting to fuss to much over him but if he gets ill it increases the risk of my hubby becoming ill with having an auto imune illness.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

This is my first sunday roast on the slimming world plan, so can I pick your brains please.
Would the roast beef still be free if I cut the fat off mine after cooking or should I have taken off the fat before cooking.
I usually make my gravy with the juices and fat from the meat, flour and stock but this isn't very healthy so how do I make low syn homemade gravy?0
