Hi All
Well a good weekend for me, made the SW Vegetable Pakora & it was lovely, used a couple of syns to make a sauce to go with it, even DH asked for seconds (him who was of the opinion if there is no batter its not pakora!)
I also made the SW beef in black bean sauce, was ok, froze what I had left but won’t make it again, not one of my favourites & using rump steak was expensive!
Yesterday was Steak pie using 6 syns for puff pastry & 10 syns for 2 sausages  (this was made on Christmas Eve when I wasn’t following plan but was put in freezer as we all got Novovirus) with loads roast veg, roast potatoes done in actifry nom nom
My friend has since told me that our local butcher to SW sausages so I will need to try some
Feel proud of myself for sticking to plan over weekend, was always my downfall but careful planning of food & how syns were used has kept me on track & still allowed me my wine at weekend
So todays EE plan
B – ½ Melon, berries, FF yoghurt
L – Dyno Rod Soup, Melon, grapes, Satsuma
D – SW Speedy Chicken & Veg rice, side of broccoli
S – Toffee muller with banana
A & B Low Low chilli cheese spread & 3 Sesame Seed Ryvita:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Did you syn the quorn sausages? as they are now a syn each. the amount of low fat cheddar allowed for Hex a is 40grams (just for future reference) & im not sure that mozerella is on the hex a choice list now? I will check my book later on.
I am seconding maman's suggestion of using frylight as well - i wouldnt like to waste syns on oil :rotfl:
Good news 45g of mozarella for a HEA!!
Macpep, I know you were eating up something from the freezer but I thought 5 was excessive for a sausage!;) I use the Sainsbury's Be Good to Yourself Extra Lean Pork Cumberland Sausages, 8 pack, chilled, 57g each. They're just half a syn each. Thought it might help those who don't have local butchers selling SW sausages.
I'm portioning up some lovely lentil soup I made yesterday. Plenty of carrots and onions in there too so that'll see me through a few lunches. Just what we need this weather.:) Keep warm everyone.0 -
Hello all! It has been a while since I've been here so I'll reintroduce myself - did slimming world myself at the start of 2012, then found out I was expecting a gorgeous baby! Then decided to cook up a freezer full of slimming world food for when I could start the diet again this January 2013 having just given birth to aforementioned baba!
I'm going it alone at the moment mainly because I have lots of food intolerances so can't have any B's from the list and the fruit & veg I can eat is limited so I'm doing SW but sort of my own version adapted to food I can eat (I mean counting rice krispies as a B choice as that is the only cereal I can have - I do understand that B should be fibre but I can't eat it!). If I don't lose weight or stop losing weight then I'll have to have a re-think but if it will work, even slowly, the way I want to do it then I'll have to have another think and may go to a group - I realise I sound like my heart isn't in it but it really is!
My usual excuse for putting weight on and not dieting is (a) I get bored at work so I eat (b) we don't have a microwave at work so have to take sandwiches (c) can't try and 'new' stuff (or salads/soups) in case I upset my stomach with food intolerances and have to go to work feeling ill for a week.
There is basically no excuse now as I'm off work so have access to a microwave and stove and if I start feeling ill I don't have to be at work.
I have 21lb from the baby weight to lose plus 49lb that I had gained prior to that from my lowest ever weight. Realistically I was basically starving myself on WW to keep my lowest weight so that isn't a realistic goal any more. My total weight loss that I'd like to lose is about 50lb in total. I'm willing to take it slowly but I know if I don't do it now I'll never do it or have the opportunity to be off work for such a long period and get the job done.
I am going to try Extra Easy and am breastfeeding at the moment so get 2 A's and 2 B's I think - need to dig the books out again. Despite having a freezer full of SW friendly meals, I've hardly got anything for lunch in the fridge and I'm not risking going out in the snow so I'll have to make do with a few odd meals!
So that's me, hope you don't mind me joining you again0 -
Well I've had a bit of a "disaster darling".
Pleased with my 5.5 lbs loss on Thursday's WI, I relaxed a bit on Friday night and had half a bottle of sparkling wine. But that was just the beginning. Left on my own, my malt whiskey was calling my name. So I had a large one as a nightcap. Still bored and on my own, I had another one. Now my willpower was weakened with the alcohol, and I had some dark Green and Blacks choc with it
I felt so guilty Saturday, I was scared to weigh myself. I was good on Saturday, so weighed myself yesterday. Shock, horror, I had put back on 3 lbs of that 5.5lbs loss
I was very down about it yesterday, so was strict with myself, even though I had run out of oranges! I even refused any wine at all when my wife opened a bottle last night and put a glass in front of me.
It was with great trepidation that I stepped on the scales this morning. But was pleasantly surprised to see them register a 4lb loss since yesterday. Phew, so I'm back on track and feeling more positive again.
Today
B. muller light yog with 30g muesli ( HexB)
S. Orange
L. Baked potato with SW coleslaw
D. Chicken and veg casserole.0 -

Banjo can I join your club lol? I lost 6.5lbs last week but I have done exactly the same as you and stopped been so strict on the alcohol. I'm going to go to the doctors in a bit and weigh myself to try and shock myself back into it again!!!
I'm sure we will get there and good luck until WI!!!!
EmSlimming world newbie joined 09/01/13 :j Total loss so far 3 stone 8 lbs. Gone never to be seen again0 -
Awwww, sad news re. Quorn sausages, had not counted them as they used to be free. Ah well, not too much damage done!
Today plan:
B. dry fried egg and mushrooms, baked beans
S. Activia fig (3.5)
L. Pasta onion and pea soup with Marigold stock (now free, yeah!), salad with 40g mozzarella (hexA), 1.5 tsp oil (3), 100g natural yogurt (1) with 3 prunes (1.5) and nuts (hexB)
S. fruit and low fat cheddar (hexA)
D. Aduki beans and vegetable soup, greens with 1 tsp oil (2), more nuts (hexB)
S. Soya milk (hexA) with cocoa powder (1) hot drink
If all goes to plan, total today will be 12.
Also one 1 hour gym so feeling very virtuous! Now just need to keep the water levels up.Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
I had my first treat night on Saturday. I had homemade pizza which was amazing. I’m a bit disappointed with myself though as I then had half a bottle of Prosecco and 6 hotel choclat chocolates (the chocolate alone was 27 syns ). I weighed myself this morning and I’ve put 1lb on. So now I’m trying to lose that and an extra half pound before my next weigh in on Wednesday night.
So far I’ve had weetabix for breakfast, melon as a snack and homemade vegetable and chicken soup for lunch. I have a mullerlight and some more fruit for the rest of the day and then I think I’ll have a quorn stir fry for dinner. I’ve also been making sure I drink plenty of fluid.
So fingers crossed!0 -
 I popped into last year's thread a couple of times, still lurking and mostly following SW guidelines. I don't strictly count my syns yet, but I know they're vaguely on track most days. Haven't decided whether to officially join or not, getting on fine on my own so it would mostly be for the social aspect of group.Thank you maman for your suggestion. I have used fry light before but am not fond of it, would rather put real good fats in my diet and lose slower. Also being Italian I love my olive oil.
Coming from a low carb regime where fats are not restricted, I want to eat a bit lighter, but still eat some fat, so I think that will use up a lot of my syns.
Having said that, today I dry-fried my egg and mushrooms, in the pan where I had already fried DH's egg, as it had no oil left but still the egg did not stick. So I can save my precious olive oil for salad, veg and soup.
What about saving some syns and using olive oil as your B choice? Since you low carb anyway, I'm guessing you're probably used to not having grain based foods and wouldn't miss them too much. I don't have my books here but from memory, I'm pretty sure it's 1tb extra virgin olive oil on EE and maybe green as well.0
