Hi, can I join please, am currently doing sw and have lost a total 9lb since July. But it goes off and then on again basically keeping really level. My diaries are all checked by consultant and are ok.
    Am feeling very despondent.
I do have some health issues but feel always making that an excuse. I know it probably is, as my hospital consultant has told me it will be a problem.
    Any advise guys and gals?

I went to my first slimming world meeting last night, I really enjoyed it, everyone seemed so friendly. this is what I've had to eat today.

Breakfast:- fried egg and bacon (fry light spray and fat cut off) spaghetti hoops

    dinner:- mug shot

supper:- chicken drumsticks (no skin) roasted pepper and onions with rice

Drinks:- tea with my milk allowance, diet coke, sprite zero
Snacks:- blueberries, strawberries 2 rich tea biscuits & 50g light Philly
Hi and welcome. From what you have posted you are not eating enough superfree, you should be aiming to have 1/3rd of your meal of fruit and/or veg at each meal not just for snacking on between meals.

Hi and welcome. We have been discussing health issues on here as of late and it seems to be the consensus that some meds will restrict the amount you can loose especially if the condition that is being treated involves inflammation. It is still possible to lose weight though at a slower steadier pace. For myself i have lost my weight since the end of June 2012 and it is excrutiatingly slow with many weeks staying the same or a possible 0.5lb loss. I have had 3 small gains in that time of up to 2lb. Others will be along at some point today to also confirm there thoughts on this.

    Morning,

WELL DONE LUSH, woop woop! :j Must be a fab feeling!

Banjo - I completely agree with Stef and others, you need to eat more and it needs to be proper food including protein- don't worry if you don't get everything 100%. There are lots of sample menus out there so take your pick- I promise you'll be much happier with the plan :)

Redbooties - also agree about having the 1/3 superfree- it's really important to keep you veg intake up - and have you had a HEB there? If you're just starting and getting your head round the plan it might be worth having a look at the sample menus too.

    EE for me today:
    B: Porridge (B), milk (A), maple syrup (2), banana
L: Pasta salad with red pesto mayo (2)
    T: Massaman chicken curry (2.5) & rice
    S: Pineapple, Mullerlight, pitta (6)

    :)

Sunny and dry here today, if a bit chilly. Hope everyone is warm and well. It's kinda funny. We get weather like England are getting now, every winter, but no one mentions us when our schools are closed and the powers off for days at a time :snow_laug. Anyway, I digress...

    L. HM lentil soup, muller light and banana

    D. 2 x Mr T's Butchers choice half fat sausages (2 each),[STRIKE] potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, Aunt bessies gravy (1.5)[/STRIKE] change of plan, SW chips now with baked beans n egg.
Will have some more fruit instead of the veg

    Snacks TBC

Have a fabby day everyone :D

Due to a miserable couple of days (work related) I nearly broke at an early stage in my first week when OH brought Chinese home!!

    B - 2 x weetabix ss milk banana blueberries

L - leftover stew again!! carrots celeriac sweet potato

    S - persimmon, pear, apple

    D - B.potato, B. beans, Cheese 25g (5), bacon, tomato

S - chicken and sweetcorn soup (7) prawn crackers (3)

I would have preferred not to have had the chinese but on the positive side I didn't help myself to the rest of the food that was there. I could easily have caved in and had wine as well but I didn't and that's good because I can have some when I plan to have it instead!

    Today planning to have

    B - fruit and fibre 35g banana

L - B. potato and left over stew!!! (no one else will eat the stew)

D - Egg, SW chips mushy peas

S - muller light cherry yog, apple, orange.

I have been eating this stew all week so if I dont lose it will be the stew I blame not the chinese soup!!

    Morning,

Well, first week not going all that well. We had some medical issues with my DD and spent quite a few stressful hours at the hospital. That is always been my problem; something stressful happens and I turn to food. But I have recognised it and dealt with it and not letting it stop me carrying on, so back on plan today.

    B) scrambled eggs, ham, tomatoes, grapes
    L) making a big pot of veg soup and putting tiny pasta in it and maybe even some little meat balls (Dutch style) made from the Sainsbury's l/f sausage I have in the fridge
    T) not decided yet

    A: prob milk or cheese
    B: 2 Alpen bars

syns: what ever takes my fancy

Have a good day and keep warm
