Right, have done a lot of reading in the last few hours.
To me, the way it seems, to keep things easy, eat plenty of the free foods, use HEA and HEB (if needed) and 5-15 syns a day- and the weight should start coming off?
Is it as simple as it seems or am I missing something?
Almost there, 1/3rd of plate at each meal should contain superfree foods. The free foods then usually take up the other 2/3rds of plate. You should try to use your healthy extras every day too.

Is there a SW consultant on here that could help me with this question that I posed before.

I would like to know what happens if you are in the middle of a 12 week countdown course and reach target? Would your remaining weeks that have been pre-paid still be taken from you even though you are in target?

    Thanks in advance.

There used to be a SW consultant that posted regularly on MSE but in case she's not around anymore, why not ask the consultant at your group? Failing that, you could contact SW directly via their website.

watchitm~AFAIK you have prepaid for your countdown & the fact that you reached target while still having a valid countdown is your loss IYSWIM? At out group people are advised to think about reaching target, holidays ect before buying a countdown.
Why dont you get in touch with your consultant to check?

I have difficulty with my lunches too as I work in an airport and can't take liquids thru security where my office is. So I would also be interested in this as the restrictions narrow it down somewhat for me
  • Hello! :j

Had a great big soup/stew last night of veg, chicken and whatever else lurking in the fridge with a handful of wholewheat spagetti. Yum! All syn free too.

This morning was frozen raspberries with fat free natural yoghurt and sweetner. My body is happy now!

    Hi there

I'm needing your help. I have put on 1½ stone very quickly and none of my clothes fit! I am currently wearing every day jogging bottoms (not a good look). No medical problems detected after a recent blood test.

I am restarting SW from home tomorrow (Jan 1st). Money is very tight there is very little left after the DD's go out.

I need your ideas on how to feed me and DH as cheap as possible. (He needs to lose a stone too)

    Thanks for listening

As far as I am aware you lose the weeks! I bought a 12 weeks countdown and reached target 1 week before it ended so I just lost that week, as it was only 1 week (and you get 2 free when you buy a 12 week c/d - you only pay for 10) I didn't mind. You can buy a 6 week countdown too!

I've got wi tonght and not looking forward, I've eaten/drank so much this past week. Reached my target of 3st a couple of weeks before xmas, in those 2 weeks I've managed to lose another 2lbs! I'm glad I'm at target for christmas/ny though, I can't imagine how hard it would be for a normal week.

I agree with stef. If you are following EE then you need to be really careful to have (at least) a third of your food as fruit and veg. If you up the free food (like meat or potatoes) then you must up the SFs as well.

Good to know that there aren't any health reasons for your gain. I think it's quite possible to eat cheaply on SW but you will need to put in some time to cook from scratch to do it. You can do some batch cooking to make your own HM ready meals.

Have a look at the 7 day sample menu for ideas.

I'd say eat plenty of eggs and porage for breakfast to fill you up. Have a banana afterwards (or sliced on top) for your Superfree.

Make yourself HM soups for lunch with plenty of the cheaper veg (carrots, onions).

Have things like chilli, curry, cottage pie, bolognese for dinner.

Snack on things like apples and satsumas.

Most recipes can be adapted to SW if your try. Tell us what you like to eat and we'll try to help.

You don't really have much to lose so it shouldn't take long.
