  • Hello  me again :o

Does anyone know, if I join online, I have access to everything, like the EE? I really like the sound of this [STRIKE]plan[/STRIKE] lifestyle change, and as there are no classes here it will have to be online.
Thank you, again, in advance :)

Sharalee when you join online you have access to all plans. Have you looked on the site for a sample menu for a week? I believe there will be a voucher in the mirror newspaper on 5th jan these usually give free membership at a group or a percentage off an online membership.

Yes, have been scrutinising everything I can on the site :D. Am looking at some of the recipes, and can't quite believe so many meals are FREE on EE. I'm getting quite excited lol.
I was gonna sign up on the 2nd, but may hold off til the 5th then if there might be a bit of money off.
    Thanks very much for replying

My son was the one who instigated the joining up at a local group as he was fed up of being so big. I worried that he would see it as a fad and not want to stick to it once he knew what he could/couldnt have so went on to the website and made up my own meal plans. At that time i hadnt got a clue about the plan as a whole as in what the healthy extras were, the syns that were allowed etc so for 2 weeks just used 3 meals a day from the website and we both lost 9lb. I didnt tell my son what we were doing because i wanted to see if he could tell any difference with the meals we would ultimately be eating. So when he was told and amazed it spurred us on to use a voucher that was in a magazine in the summer. Since then he has almost reached his 3 stone award and for a 15 year old i think thats pretty good. He has also got up the confidence to join the gym and goes around 3 times a week if not twice and one hour session at a local pool.Just hoping xmas hasnt seen too much of a gain for him.

  • I'm still not getting my behind back on the wagon!

The snack bits from Christmas Eve (mini pasties, sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, pringles) are all now gone it's just the chocolate thats laying around which I can't escape!

Today I've had 3 chocolate coins,a teeny square of toffee and a mugshot so far. Think I'm mistaking hunger for thirst again :/ tea will be grilled chicken, 1 yorkshire pud and a couple of roasties with veg and a touch of gravy.

Syns from tomorrow and Tuesday will go on alcohol as we are going out for NYE with bf's parents - I will have a small cocktail at home and then a couple of bacardi breezers whilst out (cheapest round here - spirits and diet coke is loads more expensive!)

Will have porridge or cereal (HeB and some of HeA) for brekkie, then fruit for lunch and will eat a jacket potato and beans before drinkning. Tuesday I will stay low syn too and then fingers crossed I can squeeze another maintain out for WI on Wednesday - a small gain wouldn't be bad either though as I maintained Christmas week!

Hope you're all having an easier time getting straight back on it that me!

    :beer::D well done!

Lush you know your way around here. Don't beat yourself up about it. The best part about SW is that it gives you the tools, the power to control what goes on your plate.
Remember. Each and every meal counts..it doesn't take one wobble to ruin a week, or one perfect day to make the week right... We are allowed to have a little indulgence every now and again
I know I have. I am skipping weigh in tonight because its a way of a drive, dark and I can barely stay awake thanks to my toddler, but will get to a group at some point this week. I know I will have another gain but thats fine. Christmas and new year only happen once a year and I am fairly sure I can lose the weighty podge gently this time ;)

Soooo glad I found this thread :j

I joined a SW group last spring, did well, lost about a stone. Hit an emotional block  and then was unable to get back due to a bad back/health. But I need to do this.

A big plus for SW is that they dont insist you buy their branded goods and you almost forget how to eat real food responsibly.

What is going to hurt though is going back to my group so many months later and see how well everyone has done. That will hurt :( I'll be pleased for them but gutted that circumstances took me off this path.

The only thing I'm hesitating on is that the group I was part of was in the evening. And I found myself doing silly things like not drinking the afternoon before a weigh in. I know unbelievably silly but I'm being honest :( But I dont think the timings of the daytime class will work for my diary either.

For those of you who attend evening groups do you eat and drink normally before group? I feel so ashamed asking about this. But just wondered if some of you take eg a last big cup of tea say an hour before.

I'm getting emotional at just the thought of achieving this big deal for me. I'm sick to the back teeth of being judged on how I look and more importantly not being able to wear nicer clothes.

Mineallmine - i weigh at 7.30pm on a thursday night. I always have a drink around 5pm and make it my last till after i have weighed. I then wear same clothes each week and eat my tea when i get home which will have been cooked by my husband while im out so i know i wont have to be picking at anything when i walk through the door.

Stef - that's good advice. Wear the same clothes. Last drink about 5pm. Thanks so much. I think I got into a silly rut when I hit the emotional bump. Thank you for this advice :A
