Flat eric - When i get home from WI it is usually around 9-9.30pm so for me i eat my tea and its time for bed. If we are having potatoes with a meal i suppose you could class me asking hubby to make proper mash as a treat/luxury but as others have said this would only be using my alloted syns for the day as i find it to late to indulge in chocolate or anything else i would usually have.

Lush - Have everything crossed for you hoping you get that target!

Today for me is sitting around waiting for my dad to come to change the pressure valves in my tap in the kitchen. Blinking thing has been dripping and driving me mad. Suppose its my own fault for by cheap taps when i renovated the kitchen - lesson learnt!

    Meals today are EE.
B, omlette - 2 eggs, bacon, onion and mushroom, An apple.
L, undecided, possibly soup or a mugshot depends on how i can move in kitchen.
T, Pork loins - not decided what with yet, going to look in the all in one recipe book in a short while.
:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

    DD 1994, DS 1996 AND DS 1997

Lost 3st 5lb with Slimming world so far!!

I attend a class weekly and there is often much hilarity in our group that what gets eaten after weigh in doesn't count.....

Of course it does count because the moment we step off those scales, we are starting a new week and are working towards our weigh in the following week (Except the new week for me starts the following day :rotfl:) BUT I'm wondering what other posters do? Do you still count your syns post weigh in or do you forget about the syns and enjoy a naughty meal/treat??

No-one in our group ever mentions what they eat after WI, which I assume means it isn't that great :rotfl: Personally I have what I want and don't syn it- I don't go too mad but probably go over syns, although I tend not to have had any syns up til WI on a Monday anyway. An example would be I'd have a normal SW meal like pasta but with a bit of uncounted bread or cheese with it, and some chocolate or sweets afterwards, or occasionally share a chippy or Chinese with OH. Our consultant has mentioned about the week's syns starting again as soon as you've been weighed but when she said this the response (muttered under breath!) from me and the lady I sit with was 'pffft', and since we've both lost >4 stone doing what we're doing I don't see any reason to change, especially since having a treat night keeps me on track for the rest of the week. If it starts to affect my losses then I will rethink and I'm sure it won't apply to everyone, but to me if it ain't broke... ;)

Not sure if green or EE today as all food so far has been green and going to a friend's later so will see if having tea there or not- she's vegan so will definitely be green if we are!

    B: Porridge (B), milk (A), pineapple, maple syrup (2)
L: Stir fried veg, rice, soy sauce
    T: TBC
S: Pineapple, KitKat (5.5), something else dependent on tea

    :)

  • I searched a lots of physicians in london was looking for best advice for sugar level increase , its depends on food intake i guess.
  • WI on Monday - 2lb loss :j

Not sure exactly how - but not complaining

I am still stuggling to stick to plan - but getting there!

FYI - popcorn weighs the same popped as unpopped! & is now my snack of choice - the amount you get is amazing! & sprayed with frylight once cooked & sprinkled with just salt or schwartz seasoning - scrummy!
Cooked with no fat at all is better than using frylight IMO so it doesn't burn! Just keep shaking the pan :D

FE - After WI i usually have a ready meal - but don't count the syns - i used to 'pig out' but then my losses started slowing down so i try not to go too mad - but i generally have a ready meal that i wouldn't usually think is worth the syns - e.g. mum brought me a butternut squash soup as it looked nice - but the tub was 10syns:eek: I had that on WI night & glad i did - not worth that amount of syns - but delish all the same

    Morning :)

Am pleased to report 1.25 loss. particularly pleased as I'm not going to classes or doing online - I dug out old SW stuff (from 2007!!) and doing with the advice/support of this thread.

I've been told to lose around a stone for now - (Long story short Cancer diagnosis last Summer, followed by surgery). Next lot of surgery (got 3 surgeries to come) can go ahead later this year and lose the rest after. Got another appt in April, so aiming for 1lb a week at the moment.
    Anyhoo, today is EE

    B - W/m toast (HEB), spread (2 syns), marmite
L - Sausage (6) & bacon pasta bake (3 syns for the cheese)
D - lamb, spuds, carrots, cabbage, peas & gravy (2 syns)
s - apple, nectarine, melon, elf yog.

    HEA = milk for tea/coffee
    Total syns 13.

Sorry for the waffly posting, this is the first time I've documented the health issue - ooooh er, am filling up a bit - what a wally.

  • does any of the older members of the group remember me moaning about my menstrual cycle last year?
Long story short - periods changed dramatically when i hit 30 and started suffering from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mittelschmerz which is basically egg pain approx 10 days before i came on. It was pretty debilitating tbh and caused me a lot of trouble. On top of that i had awful mood swings. Tried several types of pill to no avail - just made me even more psychotic :o.

Last november i decided i was done with the docs and their "just take the pill "with no alternative offered and instead spent several days intensively searching for an alternative option and discovered that the following(will bullet point below) all help with that time of the month so thought id give them a whirl.

Didnt expect much really but what a change i have noticed in me. I now have much more energy , feel happier even when *week is approaching and i am able to have a laugh with people when previously there were days i couldnt even look at anyone without wanting to cause them harm :o

Egg pain is still there but instead of having to breath like i am in labour (which is how bad it got- sounds daft i know) its now a mild niggle which i am aware of but doesnt cause me to stop what i am doing. My mood swings are not anywhere on the same scale as what they were either, junk cravings are not as bad and my libido has shot up back to what it used to be :o

All the above = a VERY happy RFD :D:D.

So this is my lifesaver vitamins list-

    Magnesium
Omega 3,6 & 9 (in one tablet rather than 3)
    Starflower/Vitamin e - combined in one pill
Agnus Castus - Herbal remedy to help with womens monthly troubles - available at boots & holland & barratt

  • basically when *week approaches women's progesterone (the male hormone) levels go right down which is why hormones kick in & junk cravings kick in.

The vitamins & agnus castus help to replace to encourage the body to increase the progesterone hormone in the body.
