    Hi all

Hope everyone is ok - just wondering if anyone knows if sparkling flavoured water is synned? It's the bottles from morrisons & is 4 calories per 250 ml
    Thanks
These are FREE. All sugar free low calorie flavoured waters are free. The ones to watch out for are the Volvic ones these are high in syns.

Thanks stef :D..I always avoid the volvic waters anyway as the sugar content is astronomical

Swiper Aldi currently have their extra trimmed bacon on offer @ £1.19 instead of £1.69. I know Lidl had the extra lean mince on offer this weekend @ £1.49 a pack.
I usually get all my extra lean meats from Sainsburys in the 3 for £10 offers.

This weeks super 6 at Aldi -
    Avocado 49p each
    Red Onions 49p 1kg
    Button Mushrooms 49p 150g
    Butternut Squash 49p each
    Parsnip 49p 500g
    New Potatoes 49p 750g

I really wish I had an aldi closer to home..:(

Welcome back Mum of Two. I'm sure you'll be fine this time. I have highlighted the piece which jumped out at me.

I felt like this but this time around I have really got my head around EE at SW. I love food and I've always loved different and colourful foods ..... I don't do boring!:) The recipes at SW are excellent and personally I don't think I have ever sat down to a crispbread and some low fat spread for lunch. If I had to eat like that I'd be off the wagon straight away.

I agree with you about taking it a pound at a time. My weight loss has been slow but I am so pleased because the weight has fallen off my face and my chin and neck have no loose skin.

Could you incorporate a little exercise into your day too? I do 30 mins brisk walking every day (which is 1.5-2 miles depending on the terrain). That's all I do but already I can feel the muscles in my tummy and legs tightening up and I feel much better when I come home because some days I honestly have to force myself to go out!:rotfl:I also go to yoga class once a week so I don't walk on that day.

Thank you so much, I feel the same way. I love food and cooking too. I am still a council gym member but not been for a while, planning to go swimming and I dusted off the Wii fit plus 2 days ago, so will be going on that.

Swiper, thanks for the advice, I don't think I will loose weight fast, although I would want to, impatient as I am. I have had a nosey on ebay and amazon for this years books but I suppose it is a bit early for people to already be selling theirs.

    Hi all,

Wow, it's been a busy weekend on here! Welcome to all the newbies, hugs to those who are disappointed and well done to the losers :)

Had work away day on Fri- had one biscuit at break and 3 small sandwiches (although there was a bit of mayo lurking I think) and a chicken skewer at lunch, so didn't do too badly. Been good the rest of the time and had plenty of speed soup last week so crossing fingers for a loss tonight. Am going to start helping out at my class tonight (or at least watching and picking stuff up!) and signing up for another 6 week countdown so showing my commitment to SW ;)

Need to write a menu plan for this week as haven't really planned anything yet, naughty Blodwen! Going to get OH to make something from his Hairy Dieters book after the Spanish chicken was a success - a friend of his has made a few things and recommended the lamb and spinach curry and the fish pie, so will encourage him to get cooking, maybe with a bit of supervision from me, lol!

    EE today:
    B: Porridge (B), banana, milk (A)
    L: L/O Shepherd's pie, carrots, parsnips, broccoli
T: Post WI - TBC but probably pasta and red pesto with roast veg (2.5)
S: Satsuma, Mullerlight, Mini Milk (2), Freddo (5)

Have a good day folks :)

  • ended up with porridge made with just water as not enough milk in the house (at parents).

Can't believe the snow, think I need to pause life for a few hours and just snuggle down on the sofa with a hot choc, blanket and my kindle - sadly that can't happen and I will soon be off to meet bf at work so we can head to training.

Snow can do evil things to a sports wheelchair though (like getting bearings wet for a start!) not what we needed with the first league weekend fats approaching - good excuse for some extra body magic though I suppose.

Now that the weather's turned I'm very happy with the meal plan for the week - plenty of warm dishes, hot breakfasts and ok lunches to see me through to the weekend where it will be pub grub for teas and belly laughs for body magic ;)

Hoping you all stay warm and safe in the inclement weather:)
