Following on from my post earlier. Do people pile up their plates with free food potatoes pasta ect or do you restrain your portions of free food.
I pile my plate but in proportion. So for EE that means a pile of potatoes but match it with (at least ) a third of veg plus the lean meat or fish.
The 'Reveal' offer is a voucher in a magazine for the £5 joining fee. So your first visit will just cost £5 (plus price of magazine obviously) for the books, introductory talk. This is round figures, I think it may be £4.95 or similar.;)
Great NSV for me tonight. Two colleagues commented on how much weight I'd lost. I've been at target for two years and it still felt good!:D I think it was probably because it's the first warm evening we've had in years and I was wearing a skinny t-shirt and skinny jeans so it showed!:)0 -
Have had to change my menu for today again! Will now be doing an EE day as the "veggie chilli" I got out of the freezer isn't veggie at all - it's chilli mince with veg & chickpeas! I've also added some butterbeans to stretch it a bit further since my sister has decided to visit today. I really must label better when I put stuff in the freezer!
Think I'll probably serve with pasta rather than rice.

I think you are right Nessie, and I have located a local group Thursday morning. I can only find offer online which means it will cost me £9.95 including the class fee- is that what you mean? Or what is the 'reveal' offer please?
The more I have read, the more I am sure I need to go to at least one meeting and get to understand the plan better! For some reason I found it hard to understand last time and was constantly being told that I wasn't eating enough and leaving out important options, lol! No one would believe I used to work as a highly trained nurse when I can't follow a simple diet!
£9.95 is the current offer in group - but if you get the voucher out of the reveal magazine you save an extra £5
I definately think it is worth going to group, but it could all depend on the consultant whether or not to continue going every week
Might be worth taking to a doctor & see if they will refer you to slimming world - i did when i first started and got over a years membership free0 -
Morning all
Today is not shaping up to be a good day at all for me. I woke at 6am with the usual monthly "egg release pain" so spent from then until my alarm went off being in pain & trying to sleep. I have been fortunate the past 2 months that it has been mild & an irritant rather than intense ..i suppose i am due an intense month
I am also feeling very hot, uncomfortable and bloated as well. Really not a happy bunny today. I am supposed to have a driving lesson this evening but am thinking of trying to reschedule it.
Food wise hasnt been the best start either - i didnt even think about what day i was planning ..just ate some toast & chicken peices. I havent even brought my lunch. I wish i had called in sick because i really really really wanted too:(:(
I cant post a menu because i honestly dont know what to do..:o:wall::wall:

i have decided i will have jacket spud for lunch, and will buy some laughing cow cheese triangles to put on.
Will also buy a few bits of fruit for me to graze on (pineapple ) because i want sweet food today..I hate this time of the month. While i have to admit things are better than they were 6 months ago i still go through a "low" period. Hmruphhhhh

GRRRRR
Sorry to hear you're both having a hard time. RFD - you might not think so but you're doing really well to eat well when you don't feel like it, it's really difficult when you don't feel well.Hi SuziQ it just a little thing we started a few posts ago.. I got the idea from another site that talks about SW.
Your in a weight bracket accoring to your weight.
I weigh 11. 11 1/2lb so Ian in the 11 to 10st bracket
Or yards as we seem to have adopted
Hense the losing the lard to get into the next yard.
I thought I would have been in the 11 to 12st bracket but was corrected on the other site as the 11st 10st zone
It's a bit confusing I know but welcome to join until you go down into the lower yard. Bit like the old fashioned yards at school
Hope that makes sense.
I thought you would have been in the 12-11 as well, is that not the case? Haven't read the other forum about it but is it the next stone bracket you're aiming for then? Confused! :rotfl:2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

TBH I was confused perhaps we could keep it simpler and just use the stone as a marker. So that means I'm in the 12st to 11st 'yard' descending
Then into the next lardy 'yard' at 10st 13lbs.:j wel that something to look forward to then:T
EE don't mean for this to become so confusing or complicated:rotfl:”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

The other sw website is fab but sometimes the advice is wrong”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”
