Thank you RFD! I thought so too but my mum told me they are now free and I've looked them up on the website and the strawberry and raspberry tart ones certainly are! Hurrah! All the better for us! x

Hurray .. That is good to hear.

  • Just a wee discussion topic - was wondering for those ladies and gents on the forum that are not yet at target, do you do any visualisation about what you will look like when you reach target? I've tried it but I find it really really difficult to do this. I see a body but can't see my face on it!!! I'm trying hard to do this because I do think it will make a difference to focusing on my goals.

What are others experiences with this?

I have to admit I haven't given it that much thought about how I will look. I have been thinking about the clothes I will feel comfortable wearing & my confidence improving.

Why don't you print off a pic of your "ideal" body shape & put your face on the body. That might help you visualise your new shape?

I've got one photo of me at my target weight (the first time I did SW) so I know what I look like & yes, I think of it often & the fact that my hubby has never seen me at that weight ;)

Yup, done the pea thing too a few years back!

Right as much as I enjoyed the takeaway last night I ned to claw some goodness back into my body (how things change when you know you're being weighed by someone else!!) plus I want that stone award as soon as!! So I've had fruit salad with yoghurt this morning & will have a salad for lunch. Must root through the freezer & see what I can find for dinner with lots of veg :D

Hop everyone's having a good day today?

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels ;);)

    Hello *waves*

I've been doing SW since the end of May, lost 7lb, gained 1lb (went on holiday and ate everything in sight).

I don't have vast amounts of weight to lose, but I was overweight before getting pregnant, my LO is now 1 and it's time I stopped moaning about my weight and actually did something about it.

My start weight was 13st 5, I lost a bit through just eating less carp and exercising a bit, so my overall weight loss is actually 12.5lb to date..... but my official SW start weight was 12st 12.5lb so I'm going to count from there. My target is 11st 4, which would give me a BMI of 22.6 (I'm 5ft 10).

Last WI I was 12st 6.5lb, so "only" 1st 2.5lb to lose. Doesn't sound like much written like that, and I know others have a longer journey ahead, but to me it seems a long way off, and it is a weight I haven't been since about 2009, which I find a bit intimidating.

I've lost a lot of confidence in my body since having my baby - mostly caused by quite a traumatic emergency c section. My body issues are more that I don't like my stomach and scar because they are a reminder of how violated I feel about what happened - not necessarily because they are flabby. I'm not sure if that even makes any sense!!!

Anyway, I'm retreating to have a lurk and see what you all get up to (I've read back around 10 pages to familiarise myself with regulars), looking forward to sharing all your SW journeys :)

Hi turtlemoose! I am new to this group as well, having only joined in the last few days.

I am currently the weight that you were before starting your loss ( I am 13 st 4.5 as of WI today- ouch!) and I am only 5ft 5 so you are sounding really good to me!

I was a midwife and health visitor for years, so believe me, your worries about body image etc are really really common. I am sure that your tummy is nowhere near as unsightly as you think, but as you say, you are mixing up the feelings you have about your traumatic delivery. Have you spoken to anyone about this? I would talk to my mums about the birth and try to help them through such a bad experience, but occasionally someone felt so badly about it, I would refer them on for counselling. Do you have a decent health visitor to ask if you feel it would help?

I have 3 nasty stretch marks from my first pregnancy ( not my second two, strangely!) which look a little like scars even though they have faded. I try to look on them positively - as proof I am a mum, they are my mummy war wounds, if you like!

This seems like such a friendly, helpful group - I am sure we will both benefit so much from the support here!

Now, do me a favour and share how you shed those first 12.5 lbs ;)
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!
