    Morning all :hello:

Its the start of a new week after my few days at home. I did my best to make healthy choices and did a fair bit of walking around.Had a sneaky weigh in at boots this morning and i have gained 1lb (i hope this doesnt mean that the SW scales will show 2 :mad:).

I have to say am marginally irritated by the gain especially because i chose fruit & yog for breakfast and really really tried to make healthy choices.
I know i had lunch out & about for the over fri/sat & sunday but i chose the healthiest option i possibly could - for instance on saturday i had a jacket spud (no marg/butter or cheese) topped with cajun chicken. I grilled the waiter about the cajun flavouring :o and he informed me that it was just a mixture of spices rubbed on. I even refused a ruddy scone and watched mum & dad devouring one.:(.. It is so annoying :rotfl::mad::rotfl:
Evening meals where SW friendly - pork & veg, bacon & mushroom pasta (a SW recipe) and on Saturday an enormous salad.

I think that if i had eaten the scone, and all the other naughties i would have eaten usually i would accept the gain & just move on but because i have chosen to not eat them and still gain - well it makes me cross if im honest.

It is a ruddy good job that i dont feel like giving up , because i know that the plan works. Just :mad:and :(.

So i am fully expecting a gain this evening at WI :(

    Green day today -

B - apple & toffee muller light (its a SW toffee apple)
L - Cous Cous (2.5) followed by pineapple
D - Jacket spud with hex a cheese & spag hoops

Snacks - options (2), hi fi (hex b), milk (2)

sorry for throwing a paddy :o

So flippin awful end to the week last week.:(

Work has just been horrible and I've been really stressed and down all weekend.

To be honest from friday I've been that stressed and feeling ill that I've no idea really what I've eaten other than it has not been sw friendly.

Was considering giving it all up at the weekend but I've come so far now to not continue and I'm not letting the actions of others ruin this for me.

WI tonight - whatever will be will be. If its a gain I'll put it behind me and move on.

Good luck to all this week and the Monday weigh in peops !:)

Tbh, scales to scales I find are never 100% accurate. Mine are to the point if I lean forward on them I gain weight...even if its a couple pounds if that makes sense lol.

I would love an update later to know if you have actally lost anyway as it seems your doing really well :-) I think you weigh more in the morning as well? Or is the oppsite way round. :o

Guys I'm thinking of starting this I can't afford to pay out anything this month but perhaps next pay day I can join fully. I am pregnant so I would be looking in general to eat healthier for now and lose weight after the babies born. Thing is I am eating like a whale atm as I feel sick if I don't eat but I am snacking out on crisps/biscuits etc so hoping this would give me some direction?

I have never been much of a cook but I would love to start if it meant a healthier lifestyle for me and my two babies :-)

    Hi Kayalana99

From my experience personally i would not join whilst you are pregnant - save yourself some money & just buy the magazine & google recipes

I am pregnant too, but i was a member before & know my consultant so have carried on - SW is reccommended by the midwife association but i would talk to a doctor/midwife about joining - SW will only get you to get a form signed by your midwife & if you didn't get that then they would probably not let you carry on - SW consultants can not tell a pregnant lady to loose weight!

By all means join this group for recipe ideas - but it will be a waste of money until after the lil 'en is born

Also, it is very disheartening when the scales go up every week - trust me i know! Now 24+ 4 & put on 11.5lbs - very unnatural when you go to group

    I hope i have made sense & helped x

Good luck with whatever you decide x

I feel fat, scales are telling me so & don't want to WI tomorrow :(

Have stayed within syns even though been a manic few days. Can't understand it. Don't want to have lunch now as don't want to weigh even heavier tomorrow. Just one of those rainy depressing days bringing me down I suppose :(

    STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALES!

You HAVE to eat don't deny yourself what you need - go for a nice vege soup or fruit salad to feel virtuous???

I've just lost my appetite really, had quite a big breakfast so not hungry yet anyway. Think I'm just tired after a busy weekend & worrying about how Mom's doing too much & not resting her knee. Baby down for nap but I just want to curl up & go to sleep myself :(

    Morning,

I had a 5lb gain this week (after 3 weeks off) so whilst not bad I am not happy with myself.

Drop the lard to the next yard made me chuckle :) I am in the 18-19 bracket (I hope - 18'10) I did get confused though with BMI's as the NHS website is now showing a healthy BMI of 18.5-25 rather than the 20-25 which it has always been at :( Potentially I could be half myself!!

I had a hen do Saturday so I haven't appreciated people telling me that alcohol is bad for me - yes i know but I go out once every month or 2 if that ... I am really not counting for the rare occassion. I was back on the plan yesterday and I am having a good day today :j

Would love to join this friendly group!

I have gained over 2 stone after a long drawn out battle with my weight ( I had colon cancer and the diet I had to adapt after losing my colon involved a lot of carbs and few veggies- hence the weight gain!) I still have to be alittle careful with how many fruit/veggies I eat unfortunately , but at least I am able to eat some now!

I can't afford to join, but have the books etc from joining in the past ( I don't think too much has changed? I can't get my head around the EE plan but have a couple of slimming world mags here donated by a friend with a couple of 1 week plans in, and I have found another on the SW site, so that should start me off?)

My first goal is the 5% of body weight, which I have rounded up to 9lb. I am lucky to have been able to join my local YMCA for just £20 a month on a special offer, as I love Body Pump and using the bikes etc. I am to go at least 3 times a week ( I have been doing that since January so it's a pretty ingrained habit now!). That financial outlay made more sense to me than paying class membership, especially as I am bordering on osteoporosis and really need the exercise medically.

I was using myfitnespal app, and every time I entered my exercise it told me to eat the equivalent calories. I knew it didn't feel right- and subsequently I lost no weight, despite working hard at the gym! I have also entered the dreaded menopause and I think that is affecting my metabolism, but I do know plenty of menopausal women who have lost weight itch SW so I can't use that as an excuse!

I hope that posting on here will have almost the same effect as going to the classes support-wise, plus a friendly trainer at the gym has offered to weigh me every Monday morning on their scales, which seem pretty accurate as they are checked regularly.

    Here goes!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!
