    Hi all

    Baked beans

    L. Prawns with radishes cucumber and tomatoes

    Hi

I would have this as a red day. Will you be having the SW chips as a hex b? I think you are allowed up too 200g ( from memory) . Also are you synning the ribs? I am no sure these are classed as a free food although I must admit ribs are not something I eat that often.

Oh dear I thought the ribs would be free as I am not putting any sauce on them - might have to check that out

Good to know about the Chips also

    Thank you

Lean rib meat is free (never used to be!) but to be honest there's not a lot of that on there as they are mostly fat.

    Another question please? :D

Due to regular overeating, over a long period of time, my blood sugar levels are all over the shop. If I don't eat something at certain points, I get really dizzy, lightheaded and feel as if I'm about to faint. Doc said it will settle as soon as I get my bloods under control but for now it's a problem tbh.

I had to take daughter into town after school yesterday and whilst we were walking round the shopping centre, I started to feel awful and kinda spaced out. I knew I couldn't drive home like that so I got a sandwich and bottle of juice from Boots. (I know I should have got water but I needed the sugar in the fizzy juice :o). It helped within minutes and I felt fine again and drove home ok.

Anyway, am I suppose to curb the following days syns to a lower amount to try to balance out the extra syns eaten with the sandwich and juice?

    I don't want to. :rotfl:

I have no clue how many syns I should allow for that and being a big gal, I'm struggling already because my food intake is a LOT less than I normally have so if I have to also cut my syns for a few days, I'm just going to cry. I will. :D

Can I just ignore it as a blip? (Can you all sense my need for a sympathetic shoulder pat? :rotfl:)

OK seriously, if I need to acknowledge it, how many syns should I allow for a tuna sandwich and a bottle of apple tango? *insert a haven't got a clue smilie*.

Clearly I need to get organised so this type of situation is catered for, I'll need to make up bottles of diluting juice or something and make sure there's always fruit on the go to take with me. It really is about re-organising your thinking, isn't it? :undecided

Ok, if you must go for sugary fizzy drinks pick up diet versions as these are free. A can of orange Tango is 3 syns so I'd go with that. What bread was the sandwich on? If it was wholemeal you can count it as a HEb - if white it will be about 20 syns. You can claw back 5 syns a day over the week or so, but I'd put it down to experience. Do you go to class? If so get some Hi-Fi bars (HEb) or if not low syn cereal bars or fruit & keep in your handbag for these emergencies.

Whether you're a big girl or not you shouldn't be eating less than you usually do - that's the beauty of slimming world. You should just be changing what you eat ;)

Big hugs - we all have days like that!

I spent 2.5 hours in A&E with my Mom this afternoon, so missed lunch & I've not had enough superfree today :( Had yoghurt & pudding rice for brekkie & will have paella for dinner (3 syns for chorizo) but just don't feel like fruit now. At least I resisted the crisp & chocolate machines!!

Ooooh Tango is only 3 syns, I'd have thought it was 43! :rotfl: I don't feel so bad. :D

The bread was brown seeded stuff, I shared the sandwich with daughter so half each.

I don't go to class (which I why I'm going to be around here like a bad smell plaguing you all with questions :D).

I was at Ikea today and ignored the meatballs and chips and had soup instead. I'm so proud. :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about the A&E trip, hope Mum is ok?

    Thanks skint cat

I am Wrong already. Back to my books I guess. I should have known it was too good to be true. I don't eat much meat apart from chicken but I love ribs :(

Hope your mum is alright also

Thanks all - she just twisted her knee - we thought it was dislocated at first, but at least that's not the case. She cares for my Dad, so I'm going to have to spend a bit of time over there this week with my little one - not what I had planned as I'm already drowing in my own housework :o Ah well, at least it's nothing serious.

I love ribs too, but had to marinate some chicken at the last bbq to divert disaster!

I would have thought Tango was higher too - and I know what you mean about the meatballs! We had them about a week before I started SW again & they were scrummy. We also have some in the freezer & my daughter & husband have them - I just substitute Quorn meatballs for my plate - not quite the same, but I can live with it for now ;)

Does anyone who goes to class weigh themselves at home mid-week? I know it's a big no-no, but I do find it spurs me on - either to try harder or to lose more but this week I can't understand why I haven't lost anything (weigh in is Tues) - it's only my second week and I've done similar to what I did last week. I'm not massively worried as I've gained in my 2nd week before & gone on to lose loads of weight, but I'm baffled. Surely more salad & veg doesn't take that much getting used to?!

I think you need to keep the skins on for them to count as a heb on a red day :)
