Well I had a big long post of catch up comments that has been lost due to the time out. Oh well.

In a nut shell: Well done on all the losses folks, some biggies there!

Falling off the wagon? CBA moments? - Ya know this is a lifestyle change, not a straight jacket. Right? It gives you control. If you are lining up three months of parties, birthdays, weddings and such. So be it - you have the tools deal with the gains that will come. Or the will power to balance your syns with your 'omg how many beers did I drink' nights ;)

;) IT'S NOT EVIL TO GAIN! :D ( I tell myself this, it be a wee mantra of sorts.) IT AIN'T EVIL TO HAVE A FEW CURVES EITHER :p

It might be silly to ignore a pattern and hope it goes away though :o.

Knowing your patterns, your triggers, your mood swings is all part of the learning curve. Cut yourself some slack folks.

I'm still learning mine, now. Tiredness triggers a sugar craving. Boredom is solved by eating (Huh?) Not that I have had much chance to be bored of late.
Chin up everyone we are all doing so well, even on a bad day we are better than we were. Right? :rotfl:

    What a great post swiper :D. .

So YESTERDAY wasnt a good day at all. Ended up having a slice of cake, and then for whatever reason i decided to have a non SW dinner because i had eaten the cake:(.

I had it all set out in my head that i would have chips from the chippy whilst i was at work.:o. On the way home however i realised that i was only cheating myself and i would feel crappy if i did have the chips so the idea got binned. I ended up having 4 slices of WW toast - one with 4 veggie fingers in, and the 2nd with 2 quorn sausages.

Then polished off a couple of treat size choccie bars. At this stage i thought !!!!!! are you doing? and promptly stopped eating. I then spent a while shouting at myself, and planned to calorie count for the remainder of the week so i would lose that all important 1lb :o.

This morning i woke up with a different mindset (although more interrupted sleepy due to goons above ) and continued on with the plan. I did a bit of reading whilst eating breakfast about flexi syns and worked out i used about 30 syns during the toast/choccie debacle which in the grand scheme of things isnt actually that bad.

I have also estimated that the cake would have used up the remaining monday & tuesdays syns (as it wasnt an enormous slice). I think i can probably claw back a few syns over the next few days anyway.

I am away tomorrow morning to my parents for 4 days. I have meals semi planned out. I am also taking my SW cook books with me, and the digital scales (for weighing of cereal ) plus a couple packets of mug shots/rice packets to cover me for lunches.

    Green day today :-
B - mango, pineapple & remainder of the strawbs with muller vanilla light
    L - golden vegetable savoury rice (2)
D - new potatoes with mushrooms with hex a cheese

snacks - apple, options (2), hi fi light (b choice)

That's not to bad at all RFD, you did well to stop and also to avoid the chippy, that's progress! Could have been much worse than quorn sausages and WW toast and if you've counted it and it isn't too many I think you'll be fine :)

Thanks Blodwen. Im glad that i actually twigged what i was doing at the time. 3 weeks ago i would have had a few more choccie bars then just the 2. So yea its progress :)

No post is boring on here. We need to read the posts where SWers aren't having a good day because the resulting comments, advice and support will help us when we aren't coping or having a sod it moment (and we will) so moan away please. I'm all fired up this week as I've just joined SW but I know I will have those times when I will falter. We need to not be too hard on ourselves. Just watched a you tube video on how to fry an egg SW style.
If you can find it the guy has really long hair. He uses a pan with a glass lid to watch the "magic" happen.
Tried it and it works great without having to flip the egg.
He sprays the pan with fry light heats it up then cracks the egg in the pan
He then adds a splash of water about a table spoon it does sizzle but ok.
Place the glass lid o and turn down the heat. Until the egg yolk goes opaque. My son says its the best "fried egg" he's tasted. Not greasy and no flipping!

Thanks, will have a look. I always flip my eggs but they do break about half the time. Weirdly my OH, who can't really cook, is great at doing dry fried eggs

Would like to second 'no post is boring'. We all have different experiences and can learn something from each other. At the same time we all have the shared experience of being fat so we can empathise and support.

Welcome inkie.:) If you did decide to do SW I'd advise that you go to a meeting once before going it alone. That was you'll get the introductory talk and a set of books (£10). Whether you go beyond that is up to you but you'll get plenty of support on here.

I haven't had a bad day today but I could definitely be guilty of not eating enough.

Breakfast a bowl of beans, toast, Ribena. Lunch a banana and a handful of grapes. For supper I'm planning SW Bolognese. WI tomorrow. I think I'll go as I'm away for 2 weeks and then maybe another 2 to lose my holiday gain!:rotfl:I don't like to have too big a gap otherwise they stop access to the website.

I don't flip my dry fried eggs, I just cook them slowly so all the white is cooked but some of the yolk is still runny - yummy!

I've just seen on FB that the Poundland Mugshots aren't syn free as they use different ingredients in the 'cheap' ones?? Anyone else heard this? I doubt it's true (they're not going to make two different batches of the same thing are they?) but I'm going to investigate!!
