Woop ee doop after 2 missed weigh ins (one was due to public health quarantine and i'd emailed our consultant so extremely miffed they didnt give me a bye on that one!) went today fearing the worse and have lost 3.5 pounds. This means my first 1/2 stone sticker :D

Don't blame you, surely she should have at least counted that as 'holiday'.

:Tto you, and lantanna and beanie on your losses!!

Are you back in your new/old target range now beanie?

I succumbed to a few crisps. Just a small handful really but was starving after an early supper and fruit just wouldn't cut it.;)

jinny, if you've stuck to plan then you should lose but you're right they really do push EE now. I suppose it's the best of both worlds really. Why not post your menus on here for a few days? You'll get quicker feedback than many consultants.

I suffer with IBS so get trapped wind and bloating all the time, I use Windeze or Deflatine which are a bit pricey but do the job.

Well done losers, big hugs to those in need :A

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi,

This is my second attempt at SW ... I have about half of my body weight to lose and it feels very daunting. I have tried to lose weight this year with sw but I have been like a yo yo and I am nearing my next stone and my clothes are feeling uncomfortable :(

I know why I have gained weight - I have been eating too much but enough is enough and I really need to tackle the problem.

When dieting I usually find that my food bill goes up but I am hoping to reduce it as I seem to have spent a ridiculous amount of money on food this month :(

I am just looking for a bit more support - my group is very friendly but I tend to over analyse things so the fact I have gained rather than lost makes me feel ashamed I haven't given it my full attention ... I also have a little one so sometimes time is limited for me when I get home and she needs feeding there and then ... I just need to be a bit more organised!

Resist it rfd, you know you can!!;)

Your menu looks fine. It's hard to tell with SE without actually seeing the plates. You've definitely got the right ingredients just make sure it's 2/3 suprefree across the day. So while the curry could potentially be a bit short on SFs the fruit snacks will probably balance it out IYSWIM.

jinny, your menu looks fine potentially too. Tomatoes may not be a third at breakfast, chilli if only beans onions and mince would be short of SFs but I make mine with peppers, mushrooms and sometimes diced carrot too. Dinner looks great so I suppose it's down to whether your fruit snacks help make it a third SFs across the day.

I'd say that unless you have a specific health issue like tie that your body is just getting used to a new way of eating. Obviously if you feel really ill you'll have to stop but otherwise just hang on in there.

I've started well today with Shreddies and strawberries. I've got some asparagus and ham I could have for lunch. I'm out at a carvery for supper. That could be a good SW meal although since I'm at target I do allow some roasties and cauli cheese but plenty of other veg too.

    Morning,

Well done Lantanna, Beanie, DD and RFD :j RFD - resist the cake! Think how hard you have been working, plus it won't taste anywhere near as good as it looks, they never do! ;)

    *warning - long moan! *

WI for me last night and after being SO good and cycling 3 days (not that far but hard work!) plus other bits of exercise I put on 1.5 s*dding pounds! :( Tbh I'm not overly fussed about it as I know I have stuck to it like glue so it must be something to do with water retention either from dehydration due to the heat or exercise, or maybe because I had a few drinks on Friday which is a rarity for me, or even that my muscles are retaining some water as they repair (as I said, I'm not doing tons of exercise but my muscles are definitely feeling it and I rode from work to fat club so got weighed straight after workout!). The thing that annoyed me is that even though my consultant is normally great, she obviously thought my possible explanation was an excuse and that I've not stuck to it fully, albeit unconsciously. She didn't say so explicitly but was talking about complacency and self sabotage and has given me as SAS log to fill in this week. I was good and didn't say what I wanted to say as don't want to undermine her in front of the class, especially as I'm one of the helpers, but when she asked what the SAS log I did last time brought out I was honest and said "nothing, it didn't help at all" :rotfl: Whether I admit it to other people or not, I know if I'm self sabotaging and I know I haven't this week, in fact quite the opposite - plenty of times when it probably would have been ok to have something I haven't as wanted to be spot on. She also suggested me and another lady may have to reduce our syns to 10 as we get closer to goal - I only have an average of 10 a day and pretty much always have! Anyway, my focus has shifted recently to being fitter and slimmer rather than the numbers, although obviously I need the numbers to go down for fat club purposes. I'll just keep plodding on and keep on with the exercise...

    So, EE for me today:
B: Berries, yogurt, weetabix (half B), syrup (2), milk (A)
    L: SW quiche, salad, plum
    T: Chicken and mushroom risotto, half a pitta (half B + 0.5), parmesan (1)
    S: Strawberries, mini milk (1.5), Freddo (5)

Have a good day folks :)

  • Rainbowfairydust I've always thought that I'd find SE too hard and undo-able but your menu sounds nice. Might give SE a try myself nearer to target! Resist the cake - no matter how good it may taste it won't feel as good as a result on the scales feels! You'll feel prouder if you resist!

Gosh Blodwen have we got the same consultant?! I hate that sort of patronising attitude. Sometimes you stick to plan and it doesn't work, they should understand this and be supportive without being unbelieving. Go with your own intuition, you know what you have to do and it sounds like you are doing fantastic anyway. Good luck!
