Thanks Takeiteasy suffered with IBS when I was about 30.
It was usually pulses beans and root veg especially onions that triggered it off. The F Plan (well named, we certainly knew what the F stood for phew 8•D) was popular then and It took a while to realise the cause along with stress. I now have an under active thyroid condition so although not an excuse. It doesn't help with weight loss.
Off to first WI soon so will see, anything even 1/2lb is fine. I know I've stuck to plan I'm not very tall either 5ft so that has an effect.
Even if it drips off ......I'm not giving in.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Well I had a big long post of catch up comments that has been lost due to the time out. Oh well.
In a nut shell: Well done on all the losses folks, some biggies there!

Well lost 3lbs! I'm amazed at that. I honestly thought I hadn't lost anything. Even though I lost on EE Ive decided to go on Red days I feel more comfortable on that as I need a bit more structure.
Thanks for everyone's comments and support. There are some lovely people on here. Planning next weeks menu sheet now”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Hey folks - just wanted to share something really sweet. My office phone rang today with a voicemail from Monday - it was my consultant. She basically said that she had been thinking about me since last WI (when I gained 4lbs and was really down in the dumps) and wanted to support me and wish me a good week and if I needed anything to get in touch. It was such a nice surprise as it's normally texts these days. Anyway, I text her back last night to say how much I appreciated it and replied with this:
' You are a beautiful, intelligent woman with a fantastic sense of humour. You are sooo worth it. You are going to make it and I will be with you every step of the way'. It made me cry.
Just wanted to share as I know some peeps are having a hard time with their consultants and wanted to share there are some good ones!
Isn't that just the loveliest thing? I know I'm potential pounds signs but I felt special and that's what it is all about in my humble opinion!

Lovely post swiper. That's exactly how I'm feeling. I've got to target. I've been there almost two years. All my holiday clothes fit me!:D I know I'll gain when I go away next week BUT with 'all the tools' and this lovely thread and occasional visits to my group I'll get back on track no problemo!!
:Tgreat loss jinny. Do give red a try, some people choose to vary it between plans. You may miss the variety of EE but keep posting.:)0 -
Toddler up since 1.30 ! Early weigh in to report: 1lb off, again it might have been more if not for the bread and beer blow out last night. I'm noticing a pattern!
Thank you Maman. Glad it helpedIt's so easy to let this whole thing become an obsession.
NYD - Glad that your Consultant managed to reach you, when your down such things do help. The always appear more sincere when there is a voice behind them too
Jinny - excellent stuff. I hope you allowed yourself a treat for all that hard work!
I'm supposed to be out meeting friends tonight. I haven't been out -alone- for ermm... ... ...?
LOL! Sadly it seems that the little toddler antics means I won't be able to keep my eyes open. That and last night's blow out/poor planning means I will have to be either boring tonight or extra good for the rest of the week. That ain't gonna happen
One of the things I have found really helps is the food planning. I joined a thread CH27 started at the beginning of the year. I'm terrible for keeping up with all my threads, but the inspiration was there. It helps with the budget and the "Sod it, lets eat out CBA" nights. There are much less of the sod its
I hope you all have a lovely day be they at work or at home0 -
Good morning all.
I have just been looking throught his thread and am really impressed my the motivation, steps put in place to make long lasting changes, and the losses. I am considering SW. I have just under half my body weight to loose. I'd be interested to hear if any of you go it alone, and if so, how do you find it and how do you make it work for you? look forward to hearing from you. inkie0 -
Have a good one everybody. Feel up for this today I slept right through unusual for me must be the good feelings from the loss and great support.
Yes Swipernoswiping I did treat my self to a glass of red wine 3.5 points.
I don't drink now but miss my red wine so I buy myself a bottle of non alcoholic its by Eisburg from Morrisons sainsburys do a nice one and
waitrose have a one called Fre. I know I know it's wrong on all levels as my son says, but it means I can join in with our family meal get together once a week. I'm not keen on the white versions but its ok mixed with soda ect. I would be a perfect baby sitter/nanny for you Swipernoswiping as I don't sleep get up uber soon even on weekends and don't drink!!!! Ha ha”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Morning peeps,
Well done Jinny, fab lossWell done to you too Swiperno and you're right, a bad day now is still better than we were!
Hi Inkie and welcome to the thread. I go to class but lots of people here do it by themselves. SW seems to be good for people who want to lose a lot and many of us here have lost a fair bit so it is definitely doable. Good luck!
Exercise mojo is still going strong- set up and had a quick go on my new vibration plate thing last night (weirdest thing ever, put it on max and I could barely bend my knees! Need to have a proper go though) then did some sit ups and back exercises. Started doing what I used to do and watch TV while I'm doing them- watching embarrassing bodies live certainly distracts you from what you're doing! Cycled in with OH again today and it was a nice leisurely ride- only took the same time as it takes me but was a more even speed rather than the hammering it then being knackered and going slow that I tend to do alone! He tried to get out of it as it started to rain just before we left, but I wasn't having thatwe have all the waterproof gear anyway so no excuse! By the time we came to leave it had stopped and was nice for riding, grey but dry and warm. Was a little tempted by an extra biscuit last night while waiting for the kettle to boil, but I knew it was ridiculous as was about to have a freddo with my coffee, so went and stroked the cat until it had boiled as a distraction :rotfl:
I hope I'm not boring people with my motivation at the moment- I know it can be irritating when you're struggling and other people are rubbing in how well they are doing (not that the scales are showing this!), but I certainly don't always have so much focus so am trying to make the most of it!
EE today:
B: Porridge (B), banana, milk (A)
L: SW quiche, salad, 2 plums
T: Chicken and mushroom risotto
S: Strawberries, hifi light (3), Spiral (6)
