Have a good holiday. Enjoy it and whatever you gain you'll soon lose when you get back on plan. I know I always come back craving vegetables, restaurants never seem to do enough.
Thanks Maman. Probably not too bad for me as we self cater most of the time and tend to eat loads of salads, particularly at lunchtime. My downfall is french bread and red wine, along with the cheeses, pates etc etc.

As you say it'll come back off again when I come back. My last holiday was 4 weeks and I was surprised that I only put on 4lb so if I only put on 1-2lb over the 10 days I'm away I'll be OK with that.

    Morning all :D

Joedenise - Hope you have a fab holiday

aggy - I personally would avoid chocolate at the moment, especially if i was struggling. Just try and keep in mind that the chocolate doesnt dictate your choices. YOU DO. Try & be stong. Make a list of all the pros & cons of eating chocolate brings. I suspect you will find that the negatives far outweigh the positives. Dont give up.

    Morning all,

Quick hello as got a lot of work on today. Not feeling too great - when I got home last night I got off my bike and suddenly felt really woozy, dizzy and sick like OH did for some of the day after we rode in on Weds. It was a tiring ride and v hot so could have been dehydration, but I got in (when I could get the key in the door!) and had 2 pints of water which helped a bit but not much. Maybe I hadn't eaten enough in the day but it is a relatively short ride. Didn't feel much like tea but had some in the hope it'd make me feel better - Linda Mc sausages, jacket spud and roast veg, and a hifi light bar later. Felt weird on and off, hot then cold and headachey then went to sleep at 8.30 :o Feel better today but still not great, am wondering if it's some kind of bug since OH felt the same a few days ago. Anyway am in work and am still going out tonight but depending on how I feel I may not drink and use my saved syns, we'll see. Out for lunch with a couple of friends as well and it hasn't yet been decided where we'll go so am going to try and steer them to a place where I know what I can have ;)

    Green today:
    B: Berries, yogurt, honey (2), 2 weetabix (B), milk (A)
    L: JP and beans (hopefully)
    T: L/O roast veg omelette, pitta (B + 1), maybe some cheese (A)
S: Saved syns for drinks (maybe)

Will try and get back on later but if not, have a good weekend all :)

    Wow, you did great!Catt
Thanks for the support, I shall start afresh tomorrow. Maybe my body needs to adjust to the new healthy food its getting, instead of 1 meal a day plus crisps, choc, trifles and currys sometimes.

I've been there - when I started slimming world I was eating more than I usually ate and was literally stuffing myself with things like fruit and yogurts just beause I could as they were free - even though I wasn;t hungry.

Personally I found I need to watch my carb intake and amount of sugars that I'm eating. I do have carbs everyday I just have small portions of them fruit is something else that I try to not overdo just because its free due to the amount of sugar contained in it. I no its not what SW would recommend but I do also look in the calories in things and stick to around 1500 a day.

I've lost 22 lbs in 8 weeks (with one gain of 2lbs during a PMT week).

Knowbody knows your body better than you and we all have different things that make us put on and loose weight - my advice would be to try and see what works for you. Once I got my head around not eating just for the sake of it or because something was free I started to do a lot better.

I've said this before but I really wish that Slimming World had chosen the wording of their plan a little more wisely:eek:

Even my consultant says there should be a limit on free foods and a stronger indication of portion sizes etc......................

    Today I'm having :

    B: Yogurt & Strawberries

L: Ham & Laughing Cow Light Nimble Sandwich with Side Salad

D: Tuna Pasta with Light Garlic Cream Cheese & Salad

S: G& Diet Tonics, 21 Special K (chili crackers) - whoo hoo for Friday :)

BTW if you haven't tried the Special K Crisps the Sweet Chilli ones are by far the nicest but pack a little punch so if you don't like spice stay clear!!:rotfl:

Green day for me today :-

b - cous cous (1.5) with quorn sausage (1) & peppers (weird & random breakfast but it needed using)
L - HM egg fried rice (of sorts)..brown rice, peas, sweetcorn, spring onion & egg with soy sauce to go on top
    D - Jacket spud with 2 hex a cheese & spag hoops

snacks - hifi bar (hex b), apple, muller light vanilla, frozen berries. cadbury caramel bar (11.5)

I had to collect the bakery cookies this morning from sainsbo's, and they were baking them as i walked in store. Hmm the smell was so good. I checked syns online this morning to see how many syns per cookie it was. Nearly died when i saw they are 20 syns per cookie

To add insult to injury :rotfl:a colleague has brought in a bag of approx 25 freddo bars which are also currently sat in the kitchen. The problem is if i have one then i open a can of (choccie) worms :o

    at least i am :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

hope you are feeling better soon Blodwwn. I noticed that on the slimming world site that the weight watchers WM pitta breads are a B choice. Not sure if you knew that so thought i would pass on.

I agree with this too.. I weigh out my pasta/rice as they are quite high in calories and if you have rice for lunch & then pasta for dinner it can become costly calorie wise. In order to lose a 1lb you must eat less than 3500 calories per week.

The rice & pasta would soon bump calorie intake up, if someone is a veggie and sticking to green days only. In addition to that pasta takes a while for the body to burn off , and of course we all know that excess food stores turn into fat.

There should DEFINITELY be a stronger emphasis on encouraging people to choose veg and fruit first. The downside to that is less people would sign up because they would have the impression that SW is indeed a "diet" if a food is limited. I guess it also doesnt help that when you weigh 40g of pasta (for example) it looks next to nothing. You forget that the pasta will double in size and you dont actually need that much to feel full.
