  • well the back pain is very much in the background now. I am still getting random leg & knee pain, but think until I shift a lot of weight that that won't ease up. oh well. And I am still getting random dizzy/feeling sick (not being sick)/lightheaded feelings throughout most days, but yesterday and today weren't too bad.
I had a major mood blip a few days ago, which left me tearful & low. But I'm back on the up :)

I'll not put all my menus on as has been about a week lol But all have been on track except yesterday .... & today won't be either ....

Today is my birthday & am going for a family meal. Yesterday I saw a friend for the day - went cinema (resisted popcorn, ice cream & sweets) & had lunch - knew he would make a fuss if I just had my usual jacket pot & beans so went for the next best thing on the menu - fishcakes, new pots (instead of chips) & salad. I did ask for the fish cakes to be grilled instead of fried, but it was a no go as they were baking cakes at the time.
So I put the fishcakes at 16-20syns. I also had ww yogs & hot choc (& something else that I put in my diary but it is downstairs and I can't remember what it was! but I put my additional [to the meal] syns as 6. So at max yesterday should have been about 26 syns. Which wouldn't have been too bad as I did flexi & have adjusted over days to be lower ... except of course that I am going out again tonight & it is a nice restaurant & I'm not !!!!!!ing about having a jacket pot on my birthday .... bad me ....

oh & I'm going to matlock for 4 days next week, but I intend to do lots of limping up and down hills & will try to be reasonably sensible.

What did miff me was my friend yesterday - he is a super skinny chap who doesn't really think about what he eats, when, how, etc. He doesn't drive so he does walk a lot, but other than that he doesn't do oodles of exercise. But he is naturally VERY tall & VERY skinny (not just slim, but skinny). He just doesn't seem to get (no matter how many times I tell him) that he is ok (at the moment) - he doesn't have to watch everything he puts into his mouth every single day just to not put on any weight let alone lose it.
This is the chap who ate an entire tub of hagandaz in front of me. Oh and a block of cheese (120g-ish) for a snack ....
Anyway, at lunch yesterday I have the fish cakes & he says about cake. I say no. He says I HAVE to as it is my birthday. I say that's tmrw. He says I can have pre, post & on the day cake. I say no. He says yes you must. .... Bear in mind this is in a cafe in front of other people ... I say I really don't have to & I don't want to. And he pushes it a few more times and I say you can have cake if you want but I haven't even finished my meal and I am already getting full. (I wasn't but that is beside the point). And he STILL pushed it. And then I practically shouted at him that I would not be having cake because I am on a diet and need to lose 9stone so actually yes having cake today will flipping do damage as I am already eating fishcakes which I shouldn't be & I will probably suffer for later .... & then he suggested birthday popcorn/ice-cream at cinema.....
He is generally a lovely friend but I could have hit him. He likes curvey women and because of his naturally good (current) metabolism, food has never been an issue to him.

    gahhhhhh

And tonight birthday dinner with mum & dad ... & mum has noticed that whenever we go out I just have jacket pot & beans, so she has twigged I'm on a diet .... Which I had decided not to tell her because I frankly don't need the pressure .... I'm not saying that she does it deliberately, because she does it out of love - just as she put me on my first diet at 10yrs old .... but there you go. What is done is done & today is a bright shiny new day lalalahhh .... :)

& that was a massive rambling post x

At the risk of you shouting at me monkee

    Have a very Happy Birthday!

I quite understand that you're not sticking to a JP tonight. Enjoy your meal with your parents and then just get straight back on the wagon tomorrow.

Hope you enjoy Matlock. I went to there on the way to Buxton a couple of weeks ago. A funny think happened when we were visiting the Dome. It's a beautiful building with an amazing echo. When I was there, a SW class was going on in a side room. Every time someone had a round of applause it reverberated all around the building. Magic!:)

Happy birthday monkee, ( what shall we shorten your name to ?)

Your skinny friend sounded really annoying!
IT really isnt fair for pals to encourage bad eating .:(
But you made me laugh at you shouting at him.
You must have really sad memories of dieting at a young age.

Cheer up aggy. I always think that even if you're not losing at least you're eating healthy if you do SW and weightloss will come if you stick at it.

WI for me today and I gained 2lbs. That puts me exactly at target which I'm OK with considering many flexi meals and little holiday in past month. If I'm really honest I'm not OK with it but I do know where it's come from. :(I want to drop a pound or two before I go away in a couple of weeks so I'm going to try being a bit stricter. Little things have crept in like spread on toast and juice with breakfast which all adds to extra syns.

    .

Thanks, thats helpful to think that way.
    2lb isnt too bad gain.x

my fave fruits are, blueberries, strawbs, black grapes, now and again, gala apple or banana. Pineapple make my lips tingle, its quite a common reaction apparantley. Melon is nice too.
