I weighed in last night 4lb lighter than the week before... after two nights in a hotel and dinner out at the weekend. It proves to me that all my excuses are just that excuses I can do this with the right planning..my car is full of free food.

  • Steff, how frustrating! keep on at it, have the inches changed any?

I've decided to step away from SW for a while, stop going to group and all. I really don't like the person I have become stressing over food intake every day and I need some time to find my way.
While it's rolling in the right direction its great, but when you hit a wall.. not so and I think for me personally it's a neverending stress related circle. I need to break free of it.
So I am going it alone. It seems silly so close to my target weight, but there you have it. I'll use the wii scales to keep me on track and plan on using myfitnesspal without getting involved with the various trolls there.

Slimming World does work. My signiture is testimony to that.

Thanks for the welcome and the explanations :)

I don't recall the consultant mentioning extra easy or anything. But I did note one booklet "There's so much more...green, original, success express"

Then the main optimising booklet talks about Extra Easy, original and green.

So I presume success express has become extra easy?

At this moment, I'm making SW chips - got my Fry Light in - and shall have it with grilled cod and some mushy peas.

For breakfast I had an orange and a coffee.

For lunch I had an orange, a sharon fruit, some defrosted summer fruits and yogurt.

I bought some chicken, but that will do for tomorrow.

Thanks again for your help :)

Stef - that's a great achievement by your son :T

as the others have pointed out SE is a fast weightloss for those getting stuck. Reducing things even more dramatically.
https://www.slimmingworld.com/healthy-eating/non-vegetarian-menu.aspx 7 day free menu plan.
Sadly the rest of the support for Extra Easy is only available through your login on the site. Your consultant should have given you a pin to register for that.

Good morning all, hope everyone is well.

Shelliehollie, If you are taking time out please continue to post as you give some wonderful advice and are talking as a success story and proof this does work.
Yes i am quite disappointed by sticking to plan and getting a STS especially, as you will know, when you sit in group listening to the 'cheats' boasting on what they have eaten over the week and still achieved an incredulous 4-5lb loss. As talked about in the old thread, if i were losing even just 0.5lb a week i would be happy with that as it is consistent and going in the right direction but to be stuck so far along the line then its pants. Im not saying SW doesnt work because theres evidence it does and i am happy eating the foods available and not living with constant discomfort from trapped wind and bloating so will still be chugging along with it. I havent taken any measurements from start of plan so cant honestly say whether or not theres been any recent changes, bar the downward clothing sizes that came about in October.
I am also happy to be 2 stone lighter than i were this time last year.
I dont particularly want to go down the Success Express route at this time either as i think if i saw a remarkable (for me) shift in weight in one week i would be obsessed with wanting to see those kind of losses each week so for now my focus is to stick to the plan honestly and if theres still any stagnation in a couple of weeks then its time to look at things more deeply and see whats going on.

So todays meal plan is EE,

    B. mixed berries, yog and bran flakes.(heb)
    s, apple
L, minestrone soup, side salad with some boiled eggs.
    S, banana
T, liver, bacon and onions. this also has flat mushrooms and carrots in it and will be served with rice and broccoli - kids wont eat it so are having diet coke chicken.
HEa milk, Syns, considering some ryvita crackerbread, smear of low low and tomatoes to up the SF.

  • Morning all,

Went to lidl yesterday and they have their 'Extra Lean Steak Mince' on offer, £1.49 for 250g. Less than 5% fat. I've bought some to try.

The offer lasts until 16th Jan.

Has anyone got that great soup recipe that was all free please. It had loads of beans and things in it. I used to cook it a lot a couple of years ago
  • Wow, thank you all for your welcome and help. It's much appreciated and I'm overwhelmed with your friendliness.

I'm sorry I don't know how to multi-quote, but I have read your posts and digested them. Just as well they don't carry syns :)

    You need to eat more.
Mushy peas aren't superfree so you need to have some superfree with your cod.

Oh Man...my first meal and I mess it up :o

Yes, I know I must eat more, but yesterday was so manic, I never got a moment to myself. I meant to cook chicken and make coleslaw. I'll do that today.

I'm very anxious that as I am on a lot of powerful meds, the pounds wont shift. So I suppose I am keen for a kick-start. I made breakfast for my wife and 2 kids this morning. Bacon and egg sandwiches. I had an orange and a coffee. Crikey, I'm going to look like an orange soon - just as well I'm not into fake tanning :)

Thank you again. I find it very helpful to read what others have eaten throughout the day.

You should have had bacon and egg sandwiches too, cut the fat off the bacon, have the bread as your b choice and that's a syn free breakfast :)

  • Stef - thank you. :o Nice to know I make a difference. You guys keep me focused. My advice will still be here.

Silly question for you, are you eating enough? I don't think I would stay sane on your menu plans, more free and superfrees might help? Without needing SE (I've never used it.) Remember the more you lose the more your body burns. If it's not there to burn and you continue to reduce what you eat, panic sets in. When I stopped stressing about what I ate and just ensured I was between 7-15 syns I saw a loss. When I stressed to keep it under 7 to boost a loss... STS
1lb a week is a good and natural loss. Regular 3 and 4lb a week losses will cause a panic internally - eventually.

    Gingerbread
thank you for the heads up on the minced meat.

FE - ta for the re-post. I'd totally forgotten all the info was there.:rotfl:

jill36 - can't help with regard to the superspeed soup. I tend to chuck some passata chickpeas, lentils, 5 beans heinz, and any unused veg in the crock pot with some stock.

BanjoBear. Don't beat yourself up, takes a while to get the hang of it. Double bonus that your on here as you've others to point you in the right direction on a daily basis, not just once a week :D
