Hope you found something suitable to eat Jen. Jacket potatoes and beans are generally a safe bet at places with snack bars.
Thanks, I did have a jacket potato but with cheese. No butter and there cant have been anymore than the 30g HEA! But there was a side of coleslaw, its homemade there but obviously had mayo, not tons but I dont think I will treat myself to anymore syns today to be on the safe side.
My friend told me that morrisons have the lemon muller light on offer at £1.09 for 4 and she says theres some pasta pots for 50p, I asked if they were mug shots and she said yes but Im going later so will check.Good enough club member number 140 -

Showed consultant the diary and she said something isnt right because this keeps happening so i am to keep a diary this week too and she will pass them on to the area manager for another eye over them to see if anything is being missed. Was feeling really dispondant when i came home and thoughts of ransacking hubbies naughty stash past my mind - that is until a migraine saved me and my meds knocked me out for the night lol.
So todays meals have gone like this -
B, HUGE fry up - 2 sausages (1 syn), bacon, mushrooms, beans, eggs.
L, hm minestrone soup, mixed berries and yogurt,
T, cod, new pots, microwave veg pot from M&S (butter removed so free) banana and apple.
HEA milk, HEB hifi bar,
Syns - sausages, 3 for milk at dads in my coffee there as he only has steralised and may have a club later with a cuppa.

Have you considered doing Success Express for a week Stef?
I started weighing at home 2 weeks before joining SW and weighed 15st 11lb, Initial WI was 15st 2. Now 6 months later i am at 13.3. The most i have gained in a week is 2lb but this was prior to xmas and i werent eating properly due to having sciatica and costochondroitis. Other gains during that time have only been 0.5lb around star weeks. So my slow pattern of losing or STS has been everything else.
One good thing to look forward to is my free club 10 week, as computer showed last night it is now out in the post for me to hand in at group!:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Hi everyone,
I hope you don't mind me joining in here. As a man, its taking me a long time to pluck up the courage. But I finally did it and joined a SW group yesterday.
I'm a bit confused by it all. The inital introductionto us newbies was very rushed and there was a lot of background noises from the main group.
I get the bit about superfree and free foods.
Super free foods make up one-third of plate - right?
But then I get confused with Syns and the 3 values in orange, red and green. There can be such a huge difference, like chicken drumsticks, cooked without fat, skin removed. Has zero syns for orange and red, but 7.5 syns for green.
My consultant said keep chicken drumsticks in the fridge and snack as you like as they are a free food. But then I see syn values attached.
And then there's A and B foods to chooses each day.
Aggghhhhh. I've been so frightened to make a mistake, I've survived on bovril, fruit and celery since yesterday. i really want a meal tonight.
I guess, it will all become clear after a few days0 -

Welcome & well done for joining.
If you are doing Extra Easy then you do need a third of every meal superfree.
Look for the orange syns (red is for original & green for green)
Skinless drumsticks are free on EE.
Post up what you want to eat & there will normally be someone about to help.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -

Secondly i am guessing that you have been asked to stick to the extra easy plan which shows orange on the syn values. Do you have any issues with eating endless extra lean meat, pasta, and veg? If not this plan should suit you. The red plan is for people who want a heavy meat intake with limited carbs, green is for those who want a veggie diet.
So on your extra easy plan your chicken drumsticks are most definitely free when you have shifted the skin from it.
Your 'A' and 'B' sections are for you to have a daily limited amount of milk or cheese for 'A' section, B section is for you to chose either bread, cereal, cereal bars, nuts or oils. These 2 things are the only thing you need to measure or weigh out the rest of the foods you eat are considered free so you can eat as much as you want as long as it is balanced with 1/3rd fruit or veg.
I wouldnt be too worried about being male and attending class my son is 15 and a young member and upto date has lost 2st 13lb with slimming world. He always has chicken drumsticks and boiled eggs in the fridge to snack on when he wants to save him searching the house for extra synned foods. And as a male you get to have 20 syns aday to 'spend' on nice things like crisps, biscuits or choc = or if convenience is needed ready meals etc.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

Hello  and well done you!
It does all seem a bit confusing at first, but it will come.
I think, just to start, to keep it simple is to stick to EE days, and then when you feel more confident, and you've read all your bits and bobs you can progress to the others. I'm no expert, only joined myself on the 1st, but the guys here are fab, and will help wherever they can0 -
Thanks for the welcome and the explanations
I don't recall the consultant mentioning extra easy or anything. But I did note one booklet "There's so much more...green, original, success express"
Then the main optimising booklet talks about Extra Easy, original and green.
So I presume success express has become extra easy?
At this moment, I'm making SW chips - got my Fry Light in - and shall have it with grilled cod and some mushy peas.
For breakfast I had an orange and a coffee.
For lunch I had an orange, a sharon fruit, some defrosted summer fruits and yogurt.
I bought some chicken, but that will do for tomorrow.
Thanks again for your help
Stef - that's a great achievement by your son :T0 -

You need to eat more.
Mushy peas aren't superfree so you need to have some superfree with your cod.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
