Just not in the right frame of mind just now for SW, I will be back next week, my sister is keeping me updated with details of funeral etc, she has just been to see nana & says she looked young & peaceful which brought a tear to my eye.

That's absolutely right mm. What motivates me is being able to look forward to the weekend and have treats then, especially my wine syns. I don't feel I need a treat very night but that's just me.

maman ..I am really looking forward to have my weekly wine tomorrow evening. I have worked out i will have 42 syns (thats 13.5 x 2 & 15 syns tomorrow )to play with which is a bottle of wine plus a little extra treat to keep me happy :cool:
I will need to check the wine syns this evening when i get in. I know it was around 27 per bottle last year but bet its more this year..

Monday night after weigh in is going to be something like chips cheese and gravy - I need it when I'm like this not the chicken salad I'm currently munching on lol:rotfl:
oooh i do love chips, cheese & gravy. Can i ask where you live? I thought chips, cheese & gravy was a very local type of takeaway. Pretty much everyone i know who doesnt live where i am thinking of pulls a face..

Green day for me today:
B - Pineapple & vanilla Mullerlight
S - banana
L - beanburger in huge wholemeal bap (2 x HEB)
D - jacket potato, beans, cheese (HEA)
HEA 2 - milk in tea throughout the day.
Syns will be a couple of glasses of red tonight and maybe a bag of Magic Stars or a Mini Milk lolly.

Well ladies, all I can say is that I am glad I am past the PMT stage of life, nudging the flushes stage but its been an easy ride so far. now its true what they warn us about, the bodyshape changes so it settles in the middle.. Grr!!
I was baby sitting 18mnt old neice today and am tired out, we had choc buttons for her in the car, and I gave in to having more than a few! they wer delish all kinds soft and melty ! Now just awaiting DH to cook a nice SW curry for us.0 -

Yes, I weighed on the wii, for over 12 months now I have been weighing on the wii as part of my exercise plan. They are exactly the same as the SW scales.
I find it so demoralising to see the number continuously go up :mad:when I have been doing everything for them to go down.:D
Today I had a doctors appointment to discuss my dilemma.
He basically said that as I have lost a lot of weight my body is settling into the weight it feels I need to be.
He said that my borderline underactive thyroid does not need any medication at this point.
I tried to explain to him how I have been gaining weight and how it makes me feel.
He is not interested in the least and tried to say that I was kidding myself in what I claim to eat.
He said that I need to expend more calories than what I take in, Doh!! does he not think I already know that?
He said I should keep on with my exercise routine and not to cut out any more food and not to restrict my calorie intake any more.
He also suggests instead of slimming world I try calorie counting and see if that helps.
He was no more helpful to me than a chocolate tea pot :mad:
His parting words to me was ,,,,,, come back in a months time if you are still not happy and I will test you for cushings disease, whereby people put on weight very quickly.
He said he is 100% positive I do not have it but he will do it to make me feel better, ha ha!! whatever.
So here I am, no further on, quite despondent.
So I have decided to carry on regardless and see where it gets me.

Hello everyone - can I join in the thread please? Been a member of SW on and off for about 20 years. It's the best plan I've ever followed. I'm looking to lose about 5 stones (I've lost 5lbs!) and really would appreciate the support of a group like this in addition to my own slimming class.
