I am going to have a wee step back at the mo.
I am now totally stressed about being out of target range & need to stop stressing as it is not good for me.Ho hun.
Beanie i am so sorry to hear this. I have noticed you havent been posting as much recently. I hope you are ok. Lots of hugs coming your way. I look forward to seeing you in the thread again in the neat future.
Look after yourself..just take things one day at a time. I totally understand that if your not in the mindset then there is nothing anyone can do until it comes back. Am thinking of you though.

I just feel
please dont feel. I feel embarrassed for keep crawling back in & out. You have been here for the duration (at least the last year) whereas i havent.
Why do you feel that you are not a fab member of your group? I cant imagine your group leader saying you are a fab member for no reason.
Are you feeling that because you upped your target range, and havent yet reached it you are a failure? Try to keep in mind that its harder to lose once you near your target? *big hug*

Totally with you on that Aggy - this weekend the flushes were horrific - worse few days I've had in ages. In fact I actually thought I was over the flush stage and all of a sudden they've come back in full force!gettingthere54 wrote: »I tried to explain to him how I have been gaining weight and how it makes me feel.
He is not interested in the least and tried to say that I was kidding myself in what I claim to eat.
So here I am, no further on, quite despondent.
So I have decided to carry on regardless and see where it gets me.

GT this is exactly where I was a few weeks ago and went to my doctor. At that time I was getting really obsessed with this friend who has had WLS and my doctor, who had previously said I should be worried when asked if I considered it and I told him I was worried about it (hope that makes sense!) suddenly started saying that I should start doing the testing for it so that I can make a decision about it when I am still not losing weight in six months time!!!!!
I actually hate doctors. I changed because I felt I wasn't getting sympathy or any answers from my previous doctor and had heard such good things about this one but it seems that he's just as bad. I kind of understand why Americans go down the therapy route - maybe they get more sympathy and understanding that we do from doctors!
Beanie I'm sorry you're feeling so sad at the moment and hope things turn around for you soon. It's such a constant and lifelong battle this "diet" thing. I know we try to tell ourselves that this is not a diet but a life change but the truth of it is that we have to be aware and "on plan" every day of our lives and it's depressing - especially when we don't see the scales or our clothes react to what we are doing. It's so easy for others to say we should accept the way we look or the size we are but why should we? I have no answers for you but I'll be sad to see you go although understand that sometimes you just need to change things round a bit. I disappeared for six months but glad I came back and I hope we'll see you back soon - take care of yourself honey.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
I had a fairly good weekend and think I managed to stay fairly much according to the plan I'd laid for myself and within syns.
I spent some time looking through some of the SW recipe books I have and despite the heat over here I think I'm going to go back to soups this week as I've always found them filling and good to grab a bowl of when feeling peckish (which I seem to be for most of the day) I think if I have soup ready in the fridge it might help me. The SW Little Book of Soups has some great ideas so I'll be cooking up a few this week.
Zumba tonight and I'm looking forward to that as I always come away feeling I've had a great workout.

Same here beanie, I'll miss you but you have to do what's right for you. At least when you re-join you won't have to pay on here!:D
Just a comment on being 'on-plan' for every day of our lives. It may not be true for everyone but that's not proving the case for me. It was like that for the time I was getting to target but staying there is very different. I can have off-plan meals, days or even weeks on holiday. What matters is that eating healthy, SW style is now my default position so it's what I return to after my 'treats'. I had a day in London on Thursday and had shop bought sandwiches and crisps for lunch and then Carluccio's in the evening where I had tempura veg, pasta with loads of oil and ice cream all washed down with Sauvignon Blanc. It was yummy for a day but even without SW I know it's not healthy (or mse) to eat like that all the time.
Today I've had scrambled egg on toast and tonight's supper will be a beef casserole with loads of veggies. So far a small juice and a squirt of sauce is all the syns and later there'll be some in the gravy. Not sure about in between, maybe just fruit or perhaps soup like I had yesterday. I made 6 portions last week mm and I agree it's an easy, filling lunch.0 -

I used the spicy beanburger recipe from the SW website. It says it serves 1 portion but I made 3 big burgers from it and one was plenty for me.

57g/2oz canned green lentils, drained and rinsed
1 egg
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground cinnamon
4 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Thanks for this Denise! I've tried numerous bean burgers/potato burgers/veggie burgers over the years with SW and have never found any that don't fall apart or taste awful. I'm going to give these a whirl!! Thanks for sharing.
