* week finally arrived, woohoo! Wasn't too happy about cramps waking me up at 4.45 though - got up to take painkillers and make a hot water bottle and ended up staying awake, did read my new SW mag thoughHad breakfast at normal time but am hungry again already, going to be one of those days I think but will just have to fill up on drinks as only have what I have brought to work, just as well really!
Anyone have any diet-friendly plans for the weekend? Planning some gardening on Sunday and also a bike ride (still haven't had to the courage to ride to work but I WILL next week!).
Happy Friday folks
Glad yours has arrived Blodwen, mine hasnt (yet). My b00bs are still painful although back cramp seems to have gone.
I am joining the gym again this evening , and plan on doing some swimming (or a little jog on the treadmill) over the weekend.
I noticed that i actually got out of bed earlier today than i have all week. Sure this is because of the sunshine. I have been snoozing til 7.30 most mornings this week. Today alarm went off at 6.55 and i was out of bed by 7.10. Its amazing how much difference the sun makes.

The pain is a little less today, thank god. Tho last night I had to take sleeping tablet to get to sleep
& have been taking reg pain killers. Forgot to ask for a cert at the dr's yesterday so had to phone today ... work only allows us to self-cert 5 days over an entire year & try to demand that we get dr's certs for every time after that ... the only problem is that not all drs will give certs in that way & in fact 1 dr at my last surgery told me that my work were going against employment law by making their demands!
So, despite only needing 2 days/3shifts off work before hitting my A/L anyway I am going to have to get a cert for probably a week, because the dr won't cert for less time .... & this will !!!!!! up my hol pay
and breathe ..... tho not too hard because that frikking hurts lol
So today I will be mostly sporting pjs & not leaving the house. Plenty of rest, fluids & no flipping wii. Still feel blerghhh so not sure how the food will go today. Have got the chicken pasta & salad already made. Just not sure I fancy it.

I got as far as cooking the pasta but couldn't be ar**d to open the tuna and chop the veg!!!! Instead I chopped up a couple of HB eggs I had in the fridge and mixed it with some techina - not a vegetable in sight!!!
I did have a lot of fruit yesterday though and a lot of cabbage at lunchtime so probably overall I was OK for the day on my 1/3.
Started today at 5.15 with an hour's walk before the sun came up. Was absolutely knackered when I got back and dripping - it's really humid even at 6am!
Going to hit the kitchen today and get some cooking done for the week but menus for today and tomorrow already planned are -

Roll on the normalness
Yay! Well done on the healthy snacking too, you're doing great!
Hope you feel better soon Doink.
I am STARVING! Just had my apple and am on my 4th big cup of coffee (since 4.45 though!) so should tide me over until lunch. Planning on a quick jaunt to the pub after work to see a mate then have to pop into the shops on the way home but tea is in the fridge ready to heat up so hopefully it won't be a late one - just praying work won't keep me here til 6 like it did yesterday as after the early start I'll be flagging by mid-afternoon!2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Flip me! I'm in the same boat as you Blowden and Rainbow Fairy Dust - waiting for that evil * to appear. My head has been banging from weds and I feel awful. So bloated and cross with a chest on me like a puffin lol. No doubt I'll have a gain on Monday to look forward too.
Monday night after weigh in is going to be something like chips cheese and gravy - I need it when I'm like this not the chicken salad I'm currently munching on lol:rotfl:0 -

Mediterranean_Mum wrote: »Couldn't agree more MI - if it ain't broke why fix it - were you not losing before? If you were and just following the consultant's suggestion then I would just go back to what you were doing because it's obviously been working for you.
I know that Maman has got to target by using most of her syns at the weekend and several others do the same. When I do that I tend to gain weight so I try and use mine every day but just do what works for you - in other words try it and see and if it doesn't have an adverse affect then you know you're ok.
That's absolutely right mm. What motivates me is being able to look forward to the weekend and have treats then, especially my wine syns. I don't feel I need a treat very night but that's just me.
mi, I think your consultant is being really mean to make such a fuss about one tiny gain. If I were you I'd just stick to the EE plan and eventually those few last pounds will go. When I got to target I was very slow losing the very last few pounds (at least a couple of months but there was a holiday in there:o). I'd resolved that if I got desperate there were a few things I could tighten up on or try like measuring syns/HEBs a bit more carefully or trying SE or eating more SS. In the end I didn't need to. What actually happened (almost two years on) is I've struggled not to fall below target!:rotfl:
Back soon.:)0
