OK so it wasn't perfect but a much better day yesterday and ended with an hour of zumba so felt quite good.
Back to planning and writing the shopping list today. This weekend will be the first weekend in about four weeks that we're home so I'll do some batch cooking tomorrow and at least I'll be in control of what's on the table which will hopefully help bring me back in focus.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Morning all,
Welcome to the newbies, good to see so many new SW devotees
Congrats to your son Beanie, fab news!
Well done on resisting temptation and doing the zumba MM
Doink - I'm assuming your WIs apart from at doc have been at home? If so I'd say it's just the variation in scales, so going by your sig you have lost 2.5lb since the 19th, which is great! I would have thought a difference on 5.5lb in a day between your own and the doc's scales would be too much to be a true reading, so why don't you go by your own scales (if they're the ones you'll be using most often) and ignore the others?
I nearly had a wobble last night - got in from work early so did 45 mins on the wii then had an early tea, but wanted to eat my Freddo straight after. I knew that would make me want to keep eating chocolate (or the Ben and Jerry's which is in the freezer...) and then potentially throw the whole week off, so I wrestled with myself and eventually went to sit upstairs for a bit with a bowl of frozen berries with a yogurt poured over and a tsp of sugar. I didn't defrost the berries so the yogurt froze to an ice cream like texture - not quite B&J but nice. The cat followed me up and sat on me so I couldn't move then even if I wanted to! :rotfl: Had Freddo about 9 as uaual and all was well. Also had fun on the wii - it said I hadn't been on it for over 500 days (:o but expected that as am sure I haven't been on in this house!), but it did say my weight had gone down by 4st 8 (wasn't quite at heaviest when last went on) and BMI had gone from 35 to 26, which is always nice to see
Anyway, EE today:
B: Berries, yogurt, 1 weetabix (1/2, milk (A), honey (2)
L: Veg soup, 3 crackerbreads (1/2, apple
T: Thai red chicken curry and rice (1)
S: Pineapple, Rocky (5.5)
Going to try the coconut essence that a friend got hold of for me in the curry - used to use the greek muller coconut yogurts then went onto quark, but will try quark and a few drops of the essence tonight.

35g of normal porridge is HEB so 6 syns, as long as it wasn't a sweetened one you'd be OK to use as HEB.

Blodwen do you use the coconut muller as a sauce for the curry? I quite fancy a thai curry tonight, and have a couple of WW greek coconut yoghurts in that i could use.

Morning all
Day 4 for me..Its still raining in Sheffield
but i am feeling rather chipper this morning, and quite pleased with myself for not succumbing to any "binges".
Yesterday i planned to eat a kitkat chunky using my syn allowance , ended up buying a dairy milk caramel (lower in syns) and then didnt even eat it. :T
When i got home i realised i still had a full tummy from yesterdays lunch, so watched a film for a while and made my dinner ( salmon & roasted veg). By the time i realised i hadnt eaten the chocolate bar it was coming on for 10pm and i was still not hungry so i chose to leave it. Had a few niggles that i should use my syns but at the end of the day my stomach was full and i chose to listen to my stomach instead.
Having another EE day today -
B - SW Quiche (veggies) with turkey rashers & mushrooms
L - SW tuna pasta bake with Hex a cheese allowance & side of peas.
D - Torn between thai chicken curry and potato & broccoli bake ( 6 syns for cheese on top)
snacks - WW pear crumble yoghurt (0.5), strawberries, an apple. Options (2), hi fi bar (hex b)

Yes- a couple of tbsp thai curry paste then stirred in the yogurt. It makes it a bit sweet but is nice. Tbh I now use Quark as makes it a bit thicker and because of the flavours in the curry paste I don't tend to notice the lack of coconut flavour; saying that, I am going to try the coconut essence tonight
