Hello, please can I join you?
I re-joined SW two weeks ago- need to lose about 6 stone this time though. It absolutely has to be the last time. Every time I have done well and lost I get complacent and end up putting on all the weight I've lost plus another couple of stone.
I'm a bit of an all or nothing person and I know that I need to lose that mentality in order to succeed long term. I lost 7lbs in my first week and my second weigh in is tomorrow.
I've stuck to the plan but can see that already I am being a bit strict with myself. It caused a bit of blip yesterday involving some ginger nut biscuits and some dark chocolate, resulting in denying myself any dinner. I know that this was the completely wrong thing to do but I'm back on it today and so far so good.
I think that posting your food plans every day is a great idea and might help me, so here goes for today-
B- fried mushrooms (1.5) on toast (HE, Activia yoghurt, Black coffee
L- ham pasta salad, cup of tea (.5)
D- fish pie (HE, carrots, peas
This is on EE, does it look OK? I fry my mushrooms in Flora Cuisine (very MSE as doing the Bzz trial) as I find them too dry grilled. Fish pie is a variation of Jamie Oliver's. No white sauce, lots of grated veg and a mash potato topping. HE B is from grated cheddar.
Should I plan my syns? Does it help to do so? Should I go without any today seeing as I probably had about 60 yesterday?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, any help greatly appreciated!

Thank you to everyone whose advice has helped me in my desperate quest to make ends meet. x
EDIT-Back on the quest, I've been away too long!0 -

Hello
Welcome to the thread. Your menu looks mostly ok except you [STRIKE]have 2 healthy extra B's [/STRIKE]. never mind - i think its just a typo.
Have you heard of frylight? this is free and could be used instead of the flora stuff. Its up to you though. I personally would rather than the 1.5 syns for something else.

Hi, yes the two Bs were a typo. It was meant to be an A and a B, well spotted!
Yes, I've used Frylight before but I've got the Flora free to trial so thought I might as well use it. It has a nice buttery taste too. Will get the Frylight when it runs out though.
Thanks for your help.

Well it may be 30 degrees over here but I've just made a pot of Spiced Carrot and Lentil Soup!
Decided to spend some time looking through past magazines for some inspiration and some quick meals. I've started to catalogue the recipes and hopefully that will help me plan a bit better.
Next it's time to raid the freezer and see what I have to use up.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Hello All,
I have decided to stop lurking and join in.
I am doing the plan on my own and started yesterday.
Menu was:-
Porridge made with % fat vanilla yogurt with satsumas and grapefruit.
Spag bol made with quorn, mushrooms, peppers, onion, passata and tin black eyed peas! Pasta.
HexA- milk
35g full fat mature cheddar (can somebody tell me syn value please)
I will be having the same today.
I am really struggling at the moment, not just with eating but with everything,
I have depression and have lost my mojo.
Just trying to do it a day at a time.0 -

Well last night I had a super night sleep, woke up 9.30am, got out of bed 10.15am (LAZY TOAD - joy of no children & day off). Did a few bits and bobs & had lunch. Around about 1pm for no flipping reason whatsoever! I started to feel lightheaded, nauseated & generally unwell.
Went to town to meet friend & did a bit of shopping. He's such a love, he bought me LOADS of new beads, which should keep me out of trouble for ages - especially when the lot from China turn up next month
Did a bit of food shopping (was feeling a bit better by now but still a bit weird).
Came home (friend came with), made & had tea, watched some tv & did some wii - right SOLE of foot REALLY hurt within seconds of starting, then right ankle started to twinge. Decided to ignore. My co-ordination was all over the place. And 10minutes of hula-flipping-hooping nearly killed me!
In the end I only did about 30mins of Wii because I just wasn't in sync at all
But tmrw is another day & on monday I start a bit more annual leave so maybe I can straighten up by then?
Anyway menu:
b - sleep
L - beef salad, banana
t - roast chicken (no skin), 6 cheese triangle (HEA), salad, ff dressing.
s - alpen light x 2 (HEB). Might have hot choc (2).
Birthday is in a week & really want my weight to start actually going down as getting disheartened. When I was weighed at Dr on 20th he said I was 19st 7lbs but tonights WI has me at 19st 10lbs!!! Apart from a slip up with ff flavoured yogs that I thought were free not 0.5 syns each I've been sticking to it. I've even been exercising! So for my weight to be going up not down is disheartening to say least
But I will stick to it as when I did WW & SW before my weight would go up & down in a wonky fashion & so long as it does eventually go down and stay down lol
Birthday in a week & folks want to take me out for a meal. Am having trouble finding somewhere that has relatively SW friendly stuff, veggie food for mum & is close-ish to us as dad is on earlies so we will be eating 6.30pm-ish ... & then the week after is father's day, so get to do it all againwhen life gives you lemons, stick them in your top & pretend you have pointy boobs.

I think the 35g cheese will be about 7-8 syns because 30g is a HEA & they tend to be around 6 syns?when life gives you lemons, stick them in your top & pretend you have pointy boobs.
