Hello Rainbow.
Good luck with the new start . Sound like you know all the right things to do and have a good plan in place. MY DH said he will happily make any recipes I show him, and that will help me a lot. He loves cooking. He also cant say NO when I ask for emergency choc supplies, so he needs to learn to say no lol0 -

I love fruit and veg so will add more to my meals. your input is very helpful, thanks.
It does take some time to get your head around it but don't worry we're all here to help!
All the plans are based on food optimising. I don't know how old your books are but current ones should have Extra Easy, Red and Green plans. I think the Red may be called Original these days. Extra Easy is what's pushed now as you can both meat and carbs which makes it....Extra Easy:). I find a good way of remembering the HEXs is the B choices are the Bread type ones.
Welcome back rfd, good to see you again.:)0 -
Hi RFD nice to "see" you again. I've also played around with the whole calorie counting thing and whilst I believe that we should be controlling how many we're consuming I find that it totally takes over your life trying to plan around it. But it's definitely made me more aware so I'm definitely still with SW but just a bit more aware of the calorie values to make a more educated choice.I'm going to Largs, west coast of Scotland. My mum and grandparents live there. It's very pretty, and has the famous Nardini's ice cream place
I love Largs and always try to make a trip down there when I'm visiting my family in Glasgow but definitely have to stay well away from Nardinis
It's been a rough couple of weeks but I've woken up this morning feeling a little more positive and hopefully I can have a good day -
b - 2 slices w/m bread, chopped salad, 1/8 avocado, 2 cheese triangles, banana
l - tuna salad, 1/8 avocado, 2 tblspns light mayo
d - chicken and sweet potato in teriyaki sauce, stir-fried cabbage
not sure about snacks yet and trying to up the water intake which has fallen down again!Mediterranean Mum

Today has started really badly already but going to try and put it behind me and lunch will be tuna salad. Dinner will be some kind of soup and a salmon recipe from one of the SW magazines that I have sitting by the side of my bed.. Put your feet up, rest and enjoy a cuppa while you read
hope your back to rights soon.
I agree on the calorie/syn counting.. you get obsessed with it all. It's why I had to walk away for a while.
That said, I drank over 30 syns last night after being so good for two days. Now trying to avoid the guilt 'comfort' binge this morning that will reck it.CariadsDream wrote: »Hi all can I join in with you all please, I rejoined 3 weeks ago and have lost 8lb so far which I'm really happy with I'm looking to lose ten stone so its a drop in ocean but half a stone a month is my goal..green day for me sadly in work on a bank holiday !
Well done on the loss so far:T- welcome aboard.:DWI for me tonight
Has not been a great week for me - haven't been particularly bad but didn't manage much superfree this week - as I wasn't as prepared as normal and didn't get to have lunch on Friday at all. The dreaded PMT is also well underway.
Hoping for a 1lb loss or Sts tonight if its a gain I'll cry. On a plus I'll be able to pick up the new SW Mag to hopefully motivate mekeep plodding.
RFD glad to see you again too.
I lost track whoever was craving a Chippy Patty. (Toddler lurgy = up all night *sigh* ) Batterless option:
90g smash 1/2 pint of water, add a sprinkle of parsley/chives if you like 'em. mix in hot water until mash consistency. Add 1/2 of a Cheap fish portion (usually pollock in stores) mash with fork. Stir in 2 eggs.
Add more or less fish depending on taste, more water if after adding eggs the smash is still flaky.
Fry in frylight.
On Extra Easy I believe this is syn free.0
