If your meds are regularly costing you money wouldn't it be cheaper to get an annual payment card? I know it's quite a bit up front but think you can also buy them quarterly which would be less of an outlay.
Denise
oh I don't go that often to the dr, hence the shock at how much it costwhen life gives you lemons, stick them in your top & pretend you have pointy boobs.

Morning,
Well done Rob and everyone else who is doing well
If you have a B&M Bargains near you they often have Alpen lights, usually just one or two flavours so you can't be picky but they are much cheaper. Home bargains and places like Farmfoods/Heron sometimes have them too, and Asda occasionally do 2 for £3 but it's still dear, especially when you see how cheap they can be in other shops. The Benefit bars from Aldi (I think they're 99p a box) are 2 for HEB too. My hubby eats mine too but I don't mind so much if they aren't expensive, or I buy him something similar like the Chewee bars which are also cheap and you get about 10 to a box.
What's up with your knee (sorry if you've already said, memory can't keep up!)? Had never heard the term sleep hygiene before but just googled it, you learn something new every day.
I'm delighted to say I lost 3lb this week and got my 5.5 stone award :j It was flickering between two numbers and eventually went down, putting me dead on what I needed for the shiny sticker. I think some of that came from last week where i thought I should have lost more, but will still have to be extra careful this week, especially since I'm going to a funeral on Friday then away to my folks for a couple of days - mum is on SW though so food there has already been planned outWas hoping for a long bike ride with OH over the bank hol but I read that the weather is meant to be horrendous so might have to g back to the shred- haven't done it for a while.
Green today as not having any meat, but not sure I'll use my extra HEs either, we'll see how it goes:
B: Berries, yog, 1 weetabix (1/2, honey (2), milk (A)
L: Jacket potato, tinned spaghetti, salad, apple
T: Spinach and potato curry, rice
S: Pineapple, Benefit bar (1/2, either a small glass of wine or a Freddo depending on whether I have to drive my friends home or not (5)
Have a good day folks
ETA - well doe Lantanna. Have to say, I don't drink often but I tend to have had slightly better losses when I saved my syns and used them for drink (apart from the A-Z pub crawl when I put on half a pound but then 26 drinks probably took me slightly over syns!)
I had forgotten about farmfoods! might go there later, or tmrw & have a look - also at there frozen fruit
My left knee is just flipping hurty much of the time - sometimes more than others but that's generally the nature of things. It's hurt on and off for a while but a few weeks ago (when I had no car & HAD to do quite a bit of walking) my legs in particular my left knee was sheer agony (as in EVERY step was agony). It seems to have calmed down from that but still hurts & I'm still limpy so I just wanted to get it checked out.
The dr checked the movement range on both knees, which was fine. He poked it a bit & it was def tender (I jerked, did deep inhale & sort of whistling noise but no swearing :rotfl: so that was pretty good)
I am sensitive to some meds so I am careful with what I take. He has given me some new (to me at least) stuff for me to try. If I get adverse reaction I will stop taking them. He says if not improved after a month or so to go back & get referred for x-ray as could be arthurightus. But in honesty there's not an awful lot they can do if it is :rotfl: so why bother. He did say that losing weight could help. Lucky I'm on a diet then eh?when life gives you lemons, stick them in your top & pretend you have pointy boobs.

Will be interesting to know if you get any fruit in Farmfoods- I know someone else on here did but I've looked in 2 as well as a couple of other frozen foods shops and none of them had any.
Sympathies going to you for the knee. I did something to mine a few years ago (when I say did something, I fell off a kerb in front of a busHadn't even had a drink!) and it twinged on and off for ages. Saw an orthopod and he also said losing weight would make the biggest difference. Had physio and it was on and off for ages then I started running on the treadmill (near my heaviest) and that did it in again, seriously painful with every step like you describe - I got one of those hardcore weigh lifters knee braces from Argos and it did help a bit. Eventually got a bit better but have to say since I have lost weight it has been brilliant, only had a couple of twinges and walking doesn't seem to bother it any more. The orthopod was saying about walking up stairs and how the stress on the knees is body weight multiplied many times and I was thinking "yeah I know, but I've injured it" because I didn't want to feel like I'd caused it myself, but even if weight isn't the cause, reducing it does make a real difference.
(Apologies if that sounds patronising, was meant to offer an encouraging glimmer of hope!)
ETA: also, my mum has arthritis and had a knee replacement last year. She isn't huge (starting weight was lighter than I am now but she is shorter) but has felt the difference from just losing a stone.2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]
