It's with my SIL (who really should be a candidate for SW herself;)) but she usually tries to put something healthy on the table. Strangely, she's like those secret eaters. She eats fruit, veg, yogurt, lean meat but wonders why she is big. I could point out that having tea and biscuits instead of breakfast (tells me she can't face anything) and cake mid-afternoon might be her answer. She's convinced it's her thyroid.
Sorry but that made me giggle a bit - you can't tell people like that can you, they have to eventually figure it out (or face up to it) for themselves. It's like people at class who say things like "oh, it was my dog's birthday this week so I had to have some cake, and it's xy and z's birthdays for the 100000 weeks so I can't diet then" - a one off is ok but there comes a point where you need to draw the line, otherwise what's the point? Excuses might make you feel better but they don't make you lose any weight!

The Pakoras were nice enough! Obviously not like the real deal though! I made mine too big though and they could have done with less potato in them.
They did take ages in the oven as well.
As I'm now trying to elimate the white carbs I'll not be making them again lol.
Robpw2 I'm interest in what you say about syns. How many do you have in a day / a week. As your weightloss has been great and consistent I'd love to hear your tips? This week I'll be having 95 in total. Some days hardly any but tonight and tomorrow night I'll be using a lot for gin! Bad I know but thats my life to enjoy myself at the weekend and if I didn't I'd probably pack the diet in full stop>!0 -

i have most about 2-3 syns a day if that and its usually things like mayo in a salad dressing , or milk in tea/coffee or cheese etc

Interesting as there is a constant debate about the eating or not eating of syns! The two weeks that I lost I kept them to a minimum during the week and used them for alcohol at the weekend. The week I put on was the week that I ate 10 - 15 syns after day! Which only goes to show it is all different for all of us and you have to find the way that works for you!! :rotfl:0 -
