    Hi all,

Well done Maman, Mich, Sandypan and Joedenise - great losses this week! Also to you Nessie, a STS is good whilst preggers! Hope those who are going away have a fab weekend too :)

Frogga - I'll be honest, to me that does look like a lot of food, even though a lot is SF. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I could eat that, but don't know if I'd have the time to get anything else done, as it seems to be lots of small meals. Have you tried cutting down on portion sizes to see how you feel on it? If I were you I would probably try reducing the things that are free rather than SF a bit, and if that doesn't work, maybe a bit of the starchier fruit, e.g. maybe have half a tin of beans and 1 egg with the other stuff at breakfast, and have a smaller portion of potato at lunch and tea. I was going to suggest success express, but you have plenty of SF and it seems you're concerned about the total amount rather than the proportion. Maybe try cutting down for a week and see how you go?

Pleased to say I'm not achy at all from 30DS this week, which is fab. Was going to do it tonight but got to pop into town after work so not sure when I'll get in. If not will try and squeeze it in tomorrow. Going to Alton Towers on Sunday which I am ridiculously excited about - love theme parks and been to AT quite a bit but last time was about 5 years ago. However we did go to Thorpe Park about 3 years ago and I didn't go on one of the rides because I didn't quite fit into the seat comfortably and felt like the barrier wouldn't come down properly, so I sloped off and left OH to go on alone - the shame of it :o:o:o The worst thing was I was 1-2 stone below what became my heaviest  Am not worried about AT as been at this size plenty of times, and I feel kind of 'normal' now so should be fine. Am going to take my own lunch, pasta salad I think, and cereal bars etc. OH moaned but I wouldn't pay a small fortune for nasty rubbish even if I was allowed it! Plenty of walking to be done as well so all good :)

    EE today:
    B: Porridge (B), banana, milk (A), syrup (2)
L: Jacket spud, wafer thin chicken, L/O tomato and veg sauce, plum
T: Sausage omelette, mushrooms, tomatoes, broccoli, maybe some SW chips
    S: Mini milk (2), Spiral (6)

Have a great BH weekend peeps! :)

    Frogga,

Congrats on the 7 stone! I would like to lose 5 Stone 13 lbs and I'm only 9 lbs down!

Yeah I'm sure as you have gotten smaller you maybe need less food now - maybe take a look at the portion sizes and maybe the amount of fruit.

Fruit and carbs really hinder my weightloss.

I wish SW had worded their plan a little better - free foods translates to me as stuff your face with as much as possible and syns translates to me as no I can't have them lol - theyre bad and make me feel guilty lol.

But then they need a certain percentage of people to find the thing difficult so there business continues to operate doesn't it!

    I'd die to be a size 12 by the way lol. I'm a 18 / 20 at the min!

Lost a pound this week. I also bought some Oatbran crackers at SW and will try those. Apparently you have to drink loads of water and they really fill you up.:)

I'm very careful with weighing out portions of carbs like rice and pasta, I stick to the 50g it says on the packet is a portion. I guess I have alot of potatoes but I don't add anything like butter, just mash them plain, or frylight for chips. I eat ALOT of baked beans, sometimes 2 tins in a day. I guess I'm just a greedy pig/frog and that's that....

I'm not greedy (most of the time :p) and probably not really hungry either but I work from home and that's the real problem - the fridge and the food are there calling me all day long! I've tried preparing snacks and vegetables etc etc but it doesn't make any difference. It would be so much easier if my office was away from home and I could pack up exactly what I need to eat every day and knew that was it. Oh and yes I've tried to do that at home but it doesn't work.

WI last night, number 3 and lost another pound - that's 5 llbs in 3 weeks. Slightly disappointed because have stuck to it 100% and have given alchohol up but it's all heading in the right direction and already my clothes are feeling looser.

A loss is a loss, well done :T

Lantanna - How did the pakora go? I am making it tomorrow with some of the free chicken tikka & will make up some pink pakora sauce.

I had the munchies last night, kept going to the fridge and eating a couple of pieces of melon (really wanted ryvita & cheese spread) but resisted, so I am now back on track with syns. :A.
We have a 50th birthday party tonight, I am driving so will be on the diet irn bru :A not sure if there is a buffet, if so I hope there is plenty salad/cold meat :D

    EE Plan Today :-

L - Dyno rod soup, melon, apple
D - HM Burger, WM Roll (B) cheese (A) actrifry chips, large salad (0.5 for coleslaw)
    S - Toffee muller, banana

The M & S things were Vietnamese marinated pork (not veggie!) salad bites with mooli ribbons and I knew they were low syn, double checked and they are actually 2 syns per pack not 3 as I thought.

That's useful to know for days when I'm in town and feeling peckish. I wonder if they sell them in those motorway places?

My whole journey to target was a bit like that. I was looking through it with a friend the other day and it's full of STS and tiny losses and gains punctuated with some decent losses. I can track my holidays but I seemed to be one of these people who lost over weeks rather than a single week.

It must be absolutely infuriating when you eat on plan for months and still STS. It could be something to do with fruit but that wouldn't really apply to you mm as most of your SFs are in salads and other veggies. At least you know you're eating healthily. frogga I can't see anything wrong with your food diary but I do have this issue about 'free' food. I'm convinced it's the SFs that help weightloss most of all. If you're meant to have a third of SFs then if you keep piling on the free foods, proportionately you'd be pushing down the SFs IYSWIM. This is stressed on SE but not on other plans. When you said up to two cans of beans a day I wondered if that might be an issue although it doesn't look like it.

I'm off out to lunch AGAIN today! I'm not knocking it but it does give me less control of my intake. It's with my SIL (who really should be a candidate for SW herself;)) but she usually tries to put something healthy on the table. Strangely, she's like those secret eaters. She eats fruit, veg, yogurt, lean meat but wonders why she is big. I could point out that having tea and biscuits instead of breakfast (tells me she can't face anything) and cake mid-afternoon might be her answer. She's convinced it's her thyroid. She tried to tell me when our DD2 put on loads of weight that it ran in the family. Sorry, no, DD2 put on weight drinking pints and eating junk at university. When she took herself in hand (with SW) the weight went!

Didn't mean to rant but thanks for listening.:o

Have to say, this is a big part of what keeps me on track during the week, especially after a bad day- using the morning motivation to only pack healthy stuff and then there's no choice. Right now I could murder a biscuit but I only have an apple so that's that. I think you're doing great considering, not sure how well I'd avoid the cupboards if I was at home all day...
