Thanks for your good wishes folks- I think I'm getting more adept at not using my thumb (know I know how my cats feel, although they still manage to open doors better than me :rotfl:)

Welcome Mel, and what great losses! I want to lose 100lb in total and am not too far off now so you're in good company :) To both you and Marco the only thing I would say is make sure you're getting enough superfree foods. I try and have them at every meal if possible but a lot of people do it as 1/3 over the day, so as long as you're doing that you should be fine :)

    Hi Blodwen

Thank you for the kind welcome. Wow, you have lost loads! Congrats! How have you kept focussed? Do you have any tips you can share with me? I have a long way to go, and have readjusted my mindset to think long term rather than quick fix (ex Cambridge dieter!), but I'm wondering if I may weaken a bit once the losses are smaller... That said, I do love the stickers and certificates at SW, they are really helping me so far!

I'm pretty good with the superfree foods, we get lots of fruit at work and I'm a real veggie fan so tend to have a lot with my meals.

I've decided that I will stay to group every week and not weigh and run, hoping that will help keep me on track for the long haul ahead. I've made a couple of friends there too, so it's all good.

I think a combination of seeing the little losses (and the odd big ones!) add up and just keeping in mind where I want to be and why have kept me focused. The starvation diets work (I have done them) but over the long term you lose as much, and much more consistenly, on SW AND get to eat yummy food! I have had bad weeks but drawing a line, going to class and getting back on it is the way to go. I also stay to class every week, in fact I help out with the weighing now which makes sure I stay. Things that have helped me are planning meals in advance, having stuff in that I can grab now and again if I don't have any lunch made (Mugshots, fat free super noodles etc.). I have a 5 syns or thereabouts sweet treat every night which gives me something to look forward to, although some people prefer to completely stay away from things like that, each to their own. Also measuring everything that needs it like HEs, being sensible with portion sizes, cramming in SFs even on red and green days, and drinking plenty of water. Think that's a long enough list for now! :rotfl:

You should be fine with fish and salads. When I was getting to target, I bought a bag of those Danish crispbread things and took them with me. I had them with eggs and fruit at breakfast as my HEB to try to stay off the bread. Most of all enjoy yourself. I've found that if weight goes on quickly (like on holiday) it comes off quickly too when you get back on plan.

Ouch Blodwen! I winced when I read about your thumb, sounds horribly painful. Take care.

I ended up going out to lunch unexpectedly today. It was glorious sitting in the sunshine but meant another flexi meal. I did refuse any wine though so that kept the syn count down. I can't make WI tomorrow so I'm sure another week of sticking closely to plan will get me back at the bottom of my target range where I like to be. Clothes are telling me I'm doing OK.:)

In bad twist today as I'm feeling so bloated and the pmt continues :(

I feel like I'm back to were I was when I started 9lbs ago. If I've put on again this Monday I'll cry:(

So today's plan of attack is

    B: Banana & Mandarins

L: Celery Soup & Chicken Pieces with Cherry Tomates

D: Celery Soup, Cabbage, Brussels, Bacon, Mushrooms & Onions sauteed in 25 Philadephia Extra Light (HE)

Lots of water and green tea.

I woke up twice last night to go to the toliet - if only I could get rid of this bloating..............

    Morning,

Thanks for your concern you lovely people, thumb is feeling much better now and have even got a normal plaster on it so I don't so much resemble The Hitcher from the Mighty Boosh! It's easier now OH has taken over cat duties again. One of the cats has worked out how to turn door handles and open doors, the others haven't but once it's open they're all in! We're having to fit locks to the outside of all our internal doors...

Been in work since 7.20 as OH needed to be in for something or other, so had breakfast at about 6.30 and already starting to feel peckish! I think it will be a morning of coffee! Annoying thing is, can't even go home early as he has got something he needs to be here for- at least when we cycle in I won't have to wait for him to finish! Did 30DS last night and found it easier than last week, so think I am getting a bit fitter. Also feeling slimmer- wore a size 14 top yesterday which fitted well, and my jeans could do with a belt. Wearing leggings today which is rare, but the weather is lovely and I think I look ok in them now so why not? :)

DD - Ooh lucky you, Sicily is fab! You should be fine with all the fish and fresh fruit there. When I went we had a lot of pasta with tomato, basil and a bit of mozzarella, or with aubergine- they like their simple dishes. My mum wants to go and see where Commissario Montalbano is filmed even though I have told her he won't be there :rotfl:

    EE today:
B: Berries, yogurt, weetabix (half B), syrup (2), milk (A)
L: L/O veg curry, curry loaf, plum
T: Pasta with tomato and veg sauce and sausage (inspired by Masterchef in Italy!), parmesan (2)
S: Apple, Yogurt (0.5), alpen light (half B - forgotten to bring to work, grr!), Freddo (5)

Have a good day all :)

    Morning lovely SWer's

Had a good day yesterday, feeling very positive about this plan.

Here's yesterday's food diary (im a day behind as I don't really meal plan in advance):

    B: Banana, Watermelon, Mullerlight
L: Small pack of cooked chicken, M & S Veggie Wrap thingies (3 syns)
D: Chicken, red onion & pepper BBQ skewers, Extra Lean burger, Wholemeal roll (HEB) Quorn Sausage (1.5 syns) Corn on the cob, Salad, Extra Light Mayo (1syn)

Lots of water, few cups of tea and coffee (milk HEA)

Felt like I ate loads yesterday so still no cravings for bad stuff!

I've been offered a nearly new cross trainer for free, but my DH has veto'd it on the grounds that we have no room, maybe if he had a sort out of all his stuff in the garage, there would be room for it! Will keep working on him till I get my own way :-)

Hope everyone is feeling good on this lovely sunny morning!
