Morning,
Well done Marco on your loss, and Beanie for a day on track- it's so much easier after that first one is over with
MedMum - I found last week when having salad for a few days that I wasn't hungry all afternoon, and I put it down to having gammon and 2 boiled eggs with it. Same the week before when I had goats cheese with my veg soup - I find some protein and the bit of fat which tends to come with it is good at keeping me satisfied.
Can I have a moan please? When I was chopping the carrots for the curry last night I sliced into my thumb quite deeply. Didn't hurt too much at the time but was really awkward trying to carry on chopping the rest of the veg whilst holding some tissue around it! OH is away so had to just get on with it, plus had to deal with the cats and they were playing me up a bit. Eventually stopped bleeding so I dressed it and managed to get the tea done, eaten and out to my meeting, but it is so sore now and difficult to do anything! It's on the side, near the inside top corner of the nail (the same nail which bent back and split quite low down on Sunday) so keeps getting touched/bashed and I struggled to do little things like put my socks on and driving was a nightmare, especially putting the handbrake on and off. Luckily I don't have any lab work to do and OH is back today, just want the throbbing to stop!
Right, I feel better after that whinge! Undecided whether to do green or EE tonight - only difference will be if I have meat with my tea or not.
B: Berries, yogurt, weetabix (half, honey (2), milk (A)
L: BNS soup, slice of curry loaf, plum
T: LO veg curry with either chicken, prawns or WM pitta (B+1), curry loaf
S: Greek muller LO from yesterday, apple, Alpen light (half, Spiral (6)

thank you everyone for getting back to me - I think the problem is that 2 people in my office are doing the Harcombes (sp?) diet which is around carbs and there is some sort of science around it and I did slimming world around 10 years ago when it was red and green and before the extra easy - and the Harcombes from what they are saying is like extreme red days - but you can eat cheese (I think I don't get it to be fair). Now I was always a red day girl as I Luuuuuurrrrvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeee my meat so never an expert on the green day anyway - which was why I just had a little panic.
I think a stir fry does sound nice though so it's between that and a jacket potato when I get in.
Thanks All x0 -

I am having the bacon leek & sweet potato quiche for lunch today which is full of protein as its made with cottage cheese, when I have this with salad, it keeps me full until around 4-4.30 is when I usually have my muller & banana to keep me going until dinner time. I generally have an Asda WM Pitta (not an HEB now but I still count it +1 syn) with chicken/salmon salad (if not having quiche) & this too fills me up.
Well 0.5lb off for me, a bit disappointed I guess but ho-hum it was * week.
I am thinking (just thinking) that my neck will be ok to start the shred tonight .
So EE Plan today:
B - Melon, berries, pineapple, FF nat yoghurt
L - SW Quiche (HEA), lettuce, cucumber, peppers, beetroot, egg, SW coleslaw (0.5) dressing (1), melon, pineapple, strawberries
D - Gammon Steak, actifry chips, cauliflower
S - Banana, toffee muller, apple
B - 2 x Benefit bars
Syns - 1.5 for milk in coffee, 2 for hot choc later, total for the day 5:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Wow fantastic weightloss there! I also joined three weeks ago.
Ist week 7 lbs off, 2nd 4lbs off and then the 3rd 2lbs on and other than gin & pmt there is no reason why for the gain!
I have 72 lbs to lose so I know how you feel!
Could you post an example of what you are eating - as it might be a help for others to see! Welcome :T0 -

Hi Lantanna
Thanks for the warm welcome
Here's yesterday's food diary if that helps:
B - 35g Fruit n Fibre (HEB) with semi skimmed milk (HEA)
L - SW Chilli Con Carne & Rice
D - Chicken breast, boiled new potatoes, brocolli, carrots, cauli, chicken gravy (1.5 syns)
I also had 1/4 Watermelon, Banana, Mullerlight, grapes, Cheese snack a jack (2 syns) throughout the day.
I don't really feel like I need 10-15 syns a day at the moment, so I tend to use around 3-5 per day. Not sure what is wrong with me but I haven't had any cravings for anything that's not free! Perhaps it's because I know I can have something if I want to.
Loving SW!

HiWelcome to the thread.
Blodwen I hope you thumb is better soon.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Thanks for your good wishes folks- I think I'm getting more adept at not using my thumb (know I know how my cats feel, although they still manage to open doors better than me :rotfl:)
Welcome Mel, and what great losses! I want to lose 100lb in total and am not too far off now so you're in good companyTo both you and Marco the only thing I would say is make sure you're getting enough superfree foods. I try and have them at every meal if possible but a lot of people do it as 1/3 over the day, so as long as you're doing that you should be fine

Ouch Blodwen!!! sounds painful, hope its better soon, yes I wonder if my cat would open the door herself if she had thumbs, she sits and stares at it like its going to open itself :rotfl:. You dont realise how much you use your thumb until you can't use it:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T
