Noooo  In 2009 I was lucky enough to win a fabulous 2 week holiday to France from Volvic. They put me up in a wonderful spa hotel, paid, for flights, car hire, insurance and gave me £1000 spends. I have been very brand loyal to them ever since. It gave the best holiday I have ever had as I bought my daughter up on my own and money has been tight. She was 17 at the time and absolutely loved it too. I will need to find a 'good' volvic choice ;)

You're OK with the sugar free Volvic, prudent, it's just the original ones that have syns (2.5 syns to 250 ml).

:T to those who have lost but I also have huge admiration for those of you keeping going when it's getting tough.:A

I have not lost any weight for months and am finding it very disheartening.
I have lost inches because I got into some smaller navy trousers this weekend and they were perfect. Also some very expensive trousers I bought 2 summers ago are now unwearable because they hang right off me. I will have to Ebay them. I am down a good dress size and feel better but I still need to lose more weight.

Pennylane I don't know how old you are or how much you weigh but sometimes our perception of what our weight should be is not in numbers but in how our clothes feel and what size we're in. If you're wearing a size 10 or 12 then that to me is great - I can't even begin to conceive of that - being slimmer than that can look really bad on someone older as our skin loses its elasticity. You're obviously losing inches and that's a great thing.

For some bizarre reason the strawberry Bacardi breezer is 10 and a half! It doesn't give pineapple in the food diary.

 TG we can't get the strawberry one over here!!!

    So last night then! 2 lbs on:eek:

So thats me back down to 9lbs off in 3 weeks.

I'd 138 syns last week which is clearly too many...................

I also have raging PMT so that probably has something to do with it as well.

Anyways after beating myself up last night I'm back determined and ready to start a new week.

I do wish my group was more inspiring and motivating though. I think a good group would make all the differenence so weeks - well at least I have on here:rotfl:

    So today:

B: Homemade SW Quiche (no pastry) & Cherry Tomatoes
L: Homemade Soup - Muller Lite & Strawberries
D: Homemade Pakora, Brussels, Cabbage & Brocoli

    Snacks: Satsumas / Fruit

I'm not having any syns today unless I need some tonight. The first two weeks when I lost I'd around 90 syns for the week so I'm going to try and do that this week.

Also will go round the park twice tonight with the dog!

    Onwards and upwards my friends.........:T

I am struggling more at the moment than I have since I started SW.
I am a stress eater & still cannot get that under control.
    I could cry TBH.
All my good work & effort is just going to waste.
    Will report the damage later.
A lot of us in my group seem to be really struggling big time.
    Ho hum.

Have a hug from me beanielou please.

Don't know what anyone else has advised but if you can afford it could you put loads of ready chopped vegetables and syn free dips in the fridge? Being stressed is the worst time possible when trying to eat healthily, I know. xx

    Morning,

Beanie - well done for facing the scales. You done it, drawn a line under it and today is a new day You can do it!

Pennylane - seconding MedMum, how much more do you want/need to lose? Could your body be at the weight it's happy with? Otherwise if you do want to lose more I'd definitely say go back to basics, read the books and do a menu plan. When our consultant was saying in class a few weeks ago that people get complacent and think they know the syns values of things but could be getting them wrong, I was thinking "yeah whatever, I know I'm doing it right" but when I looked up and counted everything I realised there are definitely some things that you can get a bit blase about when you've been doing it a while - that told me! I would definitely recommend trying red/green/SE - they are not that much different to EE and you might enjoy having extra HEs, I know I do.

WI last night and lost 4.5, so 1lb away from where I was 2 weeks ago. Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased to get it off again but feel like I'm going round in circles a bit. Hopefully the exercise will kickstart a net loss again. Walked to work today, 4 miles in 1 hour which Endomondo puts at 700 cals :D Same again tonight then sort the cats out (OH is away), cook, go to resident's meeting with the other nosy neighbours (another 15 mins walk), then most likely collapse into bed! Think I may be lazy and drive in tomorrow, as want to have enough left in the legs to do the 30DS tomorrow, plus have to walk from work to town and back and need to get some bits from Aldi on the way home.

    Green again today:
B: Porridge (B), banana, milk (A) (back to sugar free coffee, so much better!)
L: BNS soup, 3 crackerbreads (half B), apple, plum
T: Veg curry, and might make curry loaf instead of rice
S: Benefit bar (half B), Greek Muller (0.5), Freddo (5)

Have a good day folks :)

ETA: Well done to you also Lantanna for facing it - 9lb in 3 weeks is still fab though :)

don't beat yourself up too much lantanna - and the syn thing might only be for one week when you're holding water - and that's definitely when you should be making sure that you're drinking enough - it will make a difference.

  • Why is it that some days you could just eat for England and others you're just so good???

I've been hungry since 11am and managed to fight it and put off lunch until 12.30 (still a bit earlier than I would like). I'm now fed and watered and feeling satisfied but why can't I do that every day without hitting the fridge/freezer??

I'm praying for lots more days like today...

So sorry to hear that beanie. I think lots of people have been thoroughly depressed both by the winter and then the miserable, cold spring. There's no incentive to wear lighter clothes or eat salads and things which usually makes us think about losing weight.

I find the best thing is just not to buy things like crisps. If they're not in the house I can't eat them. And stock up instead on things to snack on like pineapples and raspberries and chicken tikka bits.

When you get back tonight/first thing tomorrow make a plan for the week. I find it really helps to write things down.

I agree with maman, I cannot sleep if my tummy is rumbling, normally, I would have crips or something, I have these in house for kids, but can resist most of the time. I had rumbling tummy so I went to raid the fridge for something to take up to my bed whilst reading kindle, ended up with handful of grapes, handful of pineapple & couple of slices of cold meat & it done the trick :D. I also plan plan plan, I do my meal planners 4 weekly as DH gets paid 4-weekly & we get main shop etc with his wage, it really is a godsend.

Well done on your losses Dundee Doll & robpw2 :T

Beanie - I also think the weather has a lot to do with us not being motivated, I love salad & eat them all year round but sometimes in my opinion if the weather is freezing & horrible only stodge/"bad food" will do whereas if I am out & about & not bored & couped up I don't tend to snack on bad things, you will get back on track again :D

Lantanna - Don't beat yourself up, you have still had good losses, start of a new week :T

Blodwen - Well done on your loss, I think we are all swings & roundabouts just now for some reason, a loss is a loss & you should be happy the dial is going the correct way :T

    So EE for me Today:-

B - Melon, frozen berries, pineapple, nat yoghurt
L - Minestrone Soup, melon, pineapple, apple
D - Mexican Chicken (1 syn), bachelors beef savoury rice, cauliflower
    S - Toffee muller, banana,

HEA - 3 x LCL & splash milk in coffee
    HEB - 3 x Ryvita

No more syns planned WI tomorrow, everything crossed
