Great glad to hear they are tasty!! Tonight will be my first go at making them! Can't wait :)

Just want to get the weigh in over now so I can get home make the pakora and relax lol

What I would say is make sure your mixture is really stiff, I don't dollop them onto the tray either, i roll them in a ball, find that way they don't stick to the greaseproof paper as much, if you can, leave them to cool a bit before taking them off the tray otherwise they will fall apart :D.

Thank you Swipernoswiping I will try to eat more. I have made a home made soup today and bought some frozen fruit. I thought if I ate too many sins I could not eat any the next day to make up for it.
I will now admit-please don't judge me-I lost my 3st odd with one of the soup, bars and meal diets. I now want to get rid of my last 7lbs and eat healthily. I think this is why I now think I am eating too much as the diet restricted my calories and was very expensive. I have got rid of my diet coke addiction and don't eat crisps.
Thanks again for all your help. My weigh day is Tues Am so good luck to everyone for weigh in.

  • In my effort to cook some different things I started with a recipe from SW Mag October 2012 pg 31 which I adapted slightly with what I had in the cupboard/freezer (in red) -

    Chunky Chilli with Green Rice

    Frylight
    1 large onion, finely chopped
    500g pack extra-lean mince meat – 400g veggie mincemeat
    2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped – a shake of chilli flakes
    2 tsp ground cumin
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp smoked paprika – regular paprika
    ½ tsp cayenne pepper
2 carrots, peeled and cut into small pieces
    400g can chopped tomatoes
    6 tblspn tomato puree
300ml beef stock – Knorr Indian stock cube
200g green beans, trimmed and halved
400g can butter beans, drained – a can of chick peas
400g can red kidney beans in chilli sauce - a can of baked beans in tomato sauce (don’t like chilli beans)

    For the rice –
    375g dried basmati rice
A large handful of fresh parsley, finely chopped
600ml boiling hot vegetable stock – Knorr Indian stock cube

Place a large saucepan sprayed with Frylight over a medium heat. Add the onion and meat and stir-fry for 5-6 mins.
    Drain off any liquid.
Add the garlic, chilli, spices and carrots and stir-fry for a further 2-3 minutes.
Add the tomatoes, tomato puree and stock.
Stir and bring to the boil.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liquid has reduced and the carrots are tender.
Meanwhile simmer the rice and parsley with the stock in another pan for 10-12 minutes, covered.
Remove from the heat and leave to stand, covered, for 10 minutes.
Stir the green beans, canned beans and beans in sauce into the chilli.
Heat gently for 5-6 minutes or until hot through.
Divide between 4 plates and serve with the rice.

This made a huge amount and would definitely serve more than four people as mentioned in the recipe. I'll be freezing portions of it as only two of us ate it. DH loved it and DS just had the rice. I don't normally make my rice like this but it was really good.

I am struggling more at the moment than I have since I started SW.
I am a stress eater & still cannot get that under control.
    I could cry TBH.
All my good work & effort is just going to waste.
    Will report the damage later.
A lot of us in my group seem to be really struggling big time.

  • Chin up Beanie, we'll get there eventually.

I have had an atrocious couple if days (SW wise I mean).
Today I've finished up the children's leftovers(toad in the hole ) and eaten biscuits - feel greatly bloated now! Massive carb fest.

Will eat a stirfry with DH to at least get in some SFs.

Back on the Wagon from NOW!

Keep plodding lovely. You've done so well.

I'm beginning to realise that we never beat the stress eating we just subdue it.
