Absolutely right mm, it's so easy to self sabotage especially at weekends.
Welcome swid. There's a basic description of the plan in the first post of the thread. The SW website also has a sample 7 day menu and if you pick up a SW magazine that'll have lots of recipes in too. The cheapest way would be for you to go to a group just once. It'll cost you about £10 (for the first night) and you'll have the basic talk from the consultant and a set of books. After that you could manage with the thread. Of course, that means you can't keep your weight a secret. I'm sure you would be fine in a group as everyone's in the same position.:) Do ask all the questions you want and remember it's not just what we're eating but how we're cooking it. People like Nigella and Jamie Oliver, with all their oil and cream, wouldn't cope with SW!:rotfl:
I've had Shreddies this morning (A&B) and I've got a big bowl of LO veg in the fridge to fry up for my lunch. Sausage and mash with carrots, cabbage and onion gravy planned for tonight. So today's syns should be just 1 for the sausages and a couple for the gravy to offset the loads over the weekend!:o0 -
I'm going to be in the UK in June and would love to go along to a SW mtg just to get updated books and perhaps buy a couple of new recipe books. If anyone hears of any vouchers for free membership that covers June then please let me know where they are so that I can ask my mum to get it for me.
thanksMediterranean Mum

Apparently some of the ready made chilled Chicken Tikka pieces are free. Does anyone know if they are? If so which ones? Can only see the M&S ones on the website which are 2.5 syns! Obviously I want to get some free ones. Going to make up some veggie pakoras tonight for muching on!0

I've just been reading on one of the SW facebook pages that someone bought a bottle of some kind of water-based drink and was horrified to learn that it had 6.5 syns in the bottle.
Someone else commented that they discovered after weeks and weeks of drinking it that one of the Volvic drinks had 7.5 syns in it and couldn't understand at the time why she hadn't been losing any weight.
So if anyone is struggling despite being 100% on plan then maybe have a look at the liquids you're consuming as the answer to the hidden syns.Mediterranean Mum

After being really good last week and losing 5 1/2lbs, this week I just haven't been able to stick to the plan and have been eating all the wrong things. Now I don't feel like going to the meeting on Wednesday, as I've probably put it nearly all back on.
Oh well, I'll try and make a fresh start from today.

It's so unreal how we sabotage things - I thought I was the only one!!!!
I have one loss then I think I can go back to my old ways. It's quite unreal.
Emma37, it's taken me a few days but I've given myself a talking to, got out there walking and drinking my water - now hoping I can keep on track with the food but just taking one day at a time.
We're all here for you honey and we all understand exactly how you feel and what you're going through.Mediterranean Mum
