Hello
Hope you don't mind me joining in. I have lost 3st 8lbs since last year with another diet. I am now at SW class and want to lose another 7lbs. I had lost 4 but then put most of this on again. I am due to get weighed on Tues. Please can you tell me if I am eating too much.
30 gm of bran flakes B
half a pint of skm milk A
Activia 0% Yog with grapes and two bananas
SW chips, tin of beans and two eggs fried in fry light
Banana
Activia Yog 0%
I have not had sins as I ate 4 Freddo's last night so 20 sins yesterday and today.
Do You think this is ok for a day EE.
Thank you.
You'll probably get away with that as it would be ok on a Green day but the others are right that you really need to eat plenty of SFs. Personally, I don't necessarily have them meal by meal but certainly across a day. So (like today) I might have eggs and toast for breakfast but then a large stir fry for lunch to balance it out.
I've got a roast with loads of veg (cabbage, cauli and carrots) plus roasties later. I'm planning to cook extra so I have some LOs for bubble & squeak tomorrow lunchtime.0 -
Afternoon all,
Frogga- I don't think you're eating too much but everyone is different. I must admit one thing I have done differently this time is reduce my portion sizes, but for things like rice or pasta I have 60-80g so more than you, and as you say a lot if what you are eating is sf. Could it be that because you are a lot lighter than you were you need less? I don't want to say eat less as your menu looks fine but if you think it could be a problem may d try a week with less (and include syns instead) and see how it goes.
Marco- I would say eat more instead, and if the freddos were due to a craving eating more of other stuff should help that.
Mountaingirl- sound delicious- I love caramel shortbread too!
We went on a trial bike ride to work today- only did two thirds as OH was complaining as most of it is uphill. I'm pleased I didn't find it too bad and got to the top of the worst hill without stoppingOne thing I discovered was that I have helmet hair at the end, so will need to do something about that!
Having a green day so had berries with yogurt and a weetabix first thing, intended to have egg and beans on toast for lunch but got distracted with housework and OH and his mate are currently fixing the fence that blew down a few weeks ago, so have made extra of the butternut squash soup that I was making for this week's lunches, and we're all going to have that when they've finished. Am also baking a loaf for them but I'll have some tomorrow night after WI. Having pasta with low low sauce and roast veg for tea and making extra for post WI as want to try and cut down the Monday night treats- will still have a bit of bread as I said, and a small bag if jelly sweets but think I need to cut down on what I've had the last few weeks.

Blodwin well done on the cycle to work
How far is it?
Poohbear I came across a recipe for syn free custard. This is the link:
http://www.minimins.com/sw-winter-warmer-recipes/294685-custard.html
scroll down to the post on the 12th October.
I had a pudding too tonight as I have decided I will try and do one weekly as a sunday treat.
I made the stem ginger and pistachio ice from the Curry heaven recipe book and served it on a bed of stewed rhubarb. I used sweetner in the rhubarb. It was absolutely lovely with very rich flavours balanced by the coolness of the ice. It was 7 syns in all, but I have only used 1 syn in my coronation chicken at lunch. The only downside was it was a bit pricey for me as I live on quite a tight budget. Still there is half left and the pricey ingredients which was the stem ginger and pistachios will make at least 2 more lots (or go in another recipe).0 -

Hiya. Is there room for a [STRIKE]little[/STRIKE] fat one?
I think I need to come live on this thread if that's okay? I found it by googling for slimming world info.
I'm female, 5'6" and 17st 12lbs so hugely overweight. I don't ever tell anyone my weight and usually do all I can to hide it but I think it's time I stopped hiding and faced facts, only I can't do it in the real world yet so I thought I'd try online first. It doesn't seem so bad anonymously admitting how heavy I am.
I was going to join slimming world online but I didn't realise it was so expensive so I found this thread and hope I can join in here instead?
I will read through the thread once the kids are in bed but I wanted to post now, before my courage went.
I'm hoping to start tomorrow or Tuesday depending on when I can go shopping.0 -

Thank you everyone for your help. I will get some frozen fruit. The Freddo's were not really a craving but my Husband phoned to ask if I wanted A FREDDO and came home with a pack of six. Once I got a taste I wanted more. He had two and I had four.
I love picking up tips here so thanks everyone. I am going to try the custard as it sounds nice but may be a little runny.Sealed Pot Challenge 1441

Hi everyone, well done on all the loses.
Prudent- I've made the custard before and it's really nice. And yes Marco it is runny but it tastes good.
Can anyone tell me if they've stopped making the Chocolate and orange Alpen lights? They were my favourites. Although I'm liking the Double chocolate ones:D Thanks.0
