Its on the SW Website, & I have run out of internet time (at work), if you search the recipes for, toffee apple ice cream here is the crumble recipe, I saved that one
Serves: 6
Prep. time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes
Total time: 30-60 Minutes
Syns per serving:
Green: 6½
Original: 6½
Extra Easy: 6½
550g cooking apples
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Finely grated zest annd juice of 1 orange
4 tbsp granulated artificial sweetener
110g self raising flour
50g low-fat spread
A few drops of vanilla essence
150g fat free natural fromage frais
Preheat the oven to 190ºC/170°C Fan/Gas 5. Peel, core andchop the apples into chunks. Place in an oven-proof dish and stir in thecinnamon, orange zest and juice and half of the sweetener.
Make the crumble: in a bowl mix together the self-raisingflour with the remaining sweetener. Melt the low-fat spread in a pan, removefrom the heat and stir in the vanilla essence. Pour over the flour mixture andmix with a fork until it resembles breadcrumbs.

Hi Everyone - been AWOL for a few days.
I put on the 1.5lb that I lost last week which is par for the course over the last 3-4 months! I fully deserved it though.
On Friday I did a charity walk - walked for an hour and a half but it was really hot and humid. We then went out for breakfast to celebrate!!! Actually didn't do too badly as it was basically a huge chopped salad with a jacket potato and a diet coke.
Unfortunately I then ate too much bread at dinner on Friday night and that killed the day!
On Saturday I got out a couple of my old SW magazines from last year and marked some recipes that I haven't made before and going to try some of them this week.
I'm also trying to increase my liquid intake this week as it's now extremely hot over here (almost 40 degrees yesterday!) and I know that's one of the reasons I'm not losing.
I went walking at 5.30 this morning and had breakfast so let's hope I can get through the rest of the day without sabotaging it again!Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Thank you again for all the wisdom on here
I was reading SwipernoSwiping advice to Lantana and wondering if it applies to me too. I have been feeling tired and grumpy this evening and wonder if I am not eating enough?
It seems ok, but I must admit I have felt quite hungry for the last two days.Hiya. Is there room for a [STRIKE]little[/STRIKE] fat one?
I think I need to come live on this thread if that's okay? I found it by googling for slimming world info.
I'm female, 5'6" and 17st 12lbs so hugely overweight. I don't ever tell anyone my weight and usually do all I can to hide it but I think it's time I stopped hiding and faced facts, only I can't do it in the real world yet so I thought I'd try online first. It doesn't seem so bad anonymously admitting how heavy I am.
I was going to join slimming world online but I didn't realise it was so expensive so I found this thread and hope I can join in here instead?
I will read through the thread once the kids are in bed but I wanted to post now, before my courage went.
I'm hoping to start tomorrow or Tuesday depending on when I can go shopping.
Hello, welcome.:j Don't be ashamed about your weight- that (for me) leads to bingingI found that once I lost a bit, I didn't want to re-find that bit...
Hello
Hope you don't mind me joining in. I have lost 3st 8lbs since last year with another diet. I am now at SW class and want to lose another 7lbs. I had lost 4 but then put most of this on again. I am due to get weighed on Tues. Please can you tell me if I am eating too much.
30 gm of bran flakes B

I have not had sins as I ate 4 Freddo's last night so 20 sins yesterday and today.
Do You think this is ok for a day EE.
Thank you.) So, where are your other 10? Where are all your slow burn carbs..? Get that pasta/rice/potato in ya!
(eta spotted the SW chips but still... eat more
Super free is what does the work )
Food isn't evil! - Syns aren't evil either.Don't let the plan swipe the fun out of food, guys! Weekends are my downfall too, they didn't used to be, I was paranoid about a gain so much. Now, I relax. We are eatting the cupboards bare before we go away. So it was microwave meals over the weekend + 3 Sleepless toddler nights = buttered toast snacks, unplanned cereals etc. I eat a hell of a lot when I am tired!
Early WI for me this week and an unsurprising sts - all considering the shortbread and wine and cheese...
Hopefully another STS on return next week.
MM, I am sure you will sweat that 1.5 off if you drink drink drink! (not that kind!)0 -
Morning everyone,
So last week in total I had 135 syns!! Most of them alcoholic.
Anyway was good yesterday and hoping for at least 2 lb tonight for weigh in. Strange thing is feel like I have lost this week for the first time - could be headed for disaster lol. Ah well whatever happens will continue on.
All that talk of minestrone soup made me make my own last night! So here is the menu for today
B: Muller Lite & Melon
L: Minestrone SoupChicken Stirfry with Noodles
Syns: Freddo & TBC
Out of Nimble so I will have two slices tonight after I've done the shopping as I find something carby before bed helps me sleep! Fingers crossed for later on - will no doubt be posting in a good or bad mood lol :rotfl:0 -
Morning,Blodwin well done on the cycle to work
How far is it?
Thanks - it's 4 miles each way on the main roads but the quieter route is about 5. We did about 4 then turned round and went back. OH isn't keen on the longer, more hilly route but there's no way I'm cycling along main A road at rush hour, especially knowing how some people (like OH!) drive! The hills are a bit of a killer atm but will be nice to see how they get easier as we get fitter. I like the reward for going uphill too - whizzing down the other sideBum is a little sore from the seat but otherwise all is well and legs have recovered from the assault by Jillian Michaels

Well done on both the walk and the meal- it's easy to overdo it when we think we've earned a treat by exercising! I'm sure you'll feel better when you've got through today on track- amazing what a difference doing one day makes.
Welcome swid - you'll find lots of support on here so don't be scared to post
Drove into work today as OH is going away for a couple of days and needed to bring some stuff in, and I'm going to go straight to fat club after work. Planning to walk tomorrow though, and maybe Wednesday as need to call in at the bike shop so can get the train home. Looking like Thurs for first proper ride in then, OH notwithstanding!
Green for me today:
B: Porridge (B), banana, milk (A)
L: BNS soup, apple, plum, yogurt
T: Pasta, roast veg, low low spread (A), bread (B)
S: Jelly tots (7.5), some form of chocolate

I was *intending* to be good this week and only allow myself a treat today as we are going out for lunch/or dinner.
Unfortunately chocolate syns sabotaged me Thurs/Fri and I had too many syns on Sat and far too many syns yesterday - - both days I was out and unfortunately yesterday I made the mistake of not eating enough before I left the house so then got silly hungry and made bad choices.
I'm hoping the scales won't be too mean tomorrow.
I bought some new clothes yesterday and none of it fits so I am motivated to stick with it - I just hope its a maintain tomorrow or a loss.0 -
really understand and sympathize FE - I'm unfortunately in the same hole at the moment but we've done it before and we can do it again - what's done is done and now it's time to move on {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}Mediterranean Mum

Morning All
AWOL over the weekend, was in the kitchen most of the time on Saturday cooking. I ended up just having a little of DH's proper crumble although I did do my apples in a ramekin with sweetener, toffee apple ice cream was ok, not the best. I used the rest of the caramel to make caramel cake & had a little after dinner yesterday but other than that I have been good :A. I also made the minestrone soup, so had that Saturday/Sunday & today again for lunch. Trying to keep low on syns next few days to make up for weekend
Welcome to the thread newbies, keep posting & don't be scared to ask any questions
Blodwen - Onion rings were far better using smash, cannot believe they were just like breaded onion rings, even DH ate them (which I was annoyed about as I thought I would have some left to freeze, :rotfl: If I had more onions I would have used rest of smash mix up (never thought & put the full packet in, ah well its only 20p so not too bad)
My EE Plan today:-
B - Berries, melon FF nat yoghurt.Benefit bar (1/2 b)
L - Minstrone soup, melon, strawberries, pineapple
D - HM Lasagne, (4.5) + (HEA) salad, apple
S - Toffee muller, banana, benefit bar (1/2 b):TGratitude is the best Attitude :T
