Mountaingirl is the canelloni recipe vegetarian or meat?
It's a meat one, based on minced beef and mushrooms but I think you could just as well do it with vegetables, like a ratatouille.
I like the topping being made from quark, cottage cheese and eggs with a bit of extra mature cheddar (that's why it's 3 syns a portion. Unfortunately the rest of the family don't like the topping (eugh, hot cottage cheese! was the general response), so I think I shall make it fir me in future and freeye it so that when the rest of them have a full fat lasagne, I can have a SW option.
Maman, I'm sure you'll drop those 3 llbs, no problem
My day today is:
B: banana (on the run)
L: Canelloni, carrot and cabbage, tomatoes (3 syns)Veg stirfry or salad to fill up on superfrees before going out to a tspaps place with girls.
So, I will be going out with some syns HEA and B to use. Will just have to be careful with the wine and oily stuff. I'm not really sure what is on the menu to be honest.Seriously money saving0 -

B - Berries, pineapple, nat yoghurt
L - WM Pitta (HEB+1), salad & dressing (1), 1/2 tin salmon with tomato sauce (1), melon, pineapple
D - SW Chilli, melon
S - Banana, toffee muller, prob have a hot choc tonight (2) when I come in, going to bingo with my friend

Have you tried it without the cottage cheese? That's how I do my lasagne topping, just Quark, eegs, a bit of nutmeg and some half fat cheese on the top, and everyone has liked it so far. I haven't looked at the recipe so don't know if the cc is blended or not, but if not I can see why it might by unappealing; I think the lumpiness would put me off!Hi All

I don't blame you - I've only just got over my cough and cold after 3 weeks and wouldn't have wanted to do anything remotely strenuous whilst feeling ill!
Maman, I love that you are always so positive and practical about things. I have no doubt you'll get that off next week
MM - good luck for the walk, am sure you will be fine. Is it going to be really hot?!2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

I'm also just getting over illness - first diverticulitis and then a chest infection so not sure how much I'll be able to keep going tomorrow - it's 29 here today so yes pretty hot and I think it's going to be hotter tomorrow
It starts at 9am though so hopefully get back before the real heat of the day - hopefully not to much humidity though which is the real killer!Mediterranean Mum

My boss just had soup, when I asked him what kind it was as it smelled delicious, he said it was minestrone, I fished the carton out the bin
to see what was in it, its "Morrisons Kitchen" minestrone & smelled ah-ma-zing, anyone got any good recipes (it also had pasta in the ingredients along with carrot, onion, celery & red pepper). I have to make it now, its a soup I have never thought about before.

I make minestrone almost every week. The recipe I use is from the 100 green days book I think. If you haven't got the recipe let me know and I'll post it.Mediterranean Mum

Hi all!
Joined SW last week, first weigh in this morning, 4.5lb loss so really pleased. Will try to keep up with you all and read your useful posts.
Do they just read out everyone's weight losses/gains at everyone else's class? That's all they did last week and this week with a quick 'have you done how you expected and what do you want to lose next week'. No tips or recipes etc which is what I expected.

This looks similar (sure you could add in red pepper) but there's a few others if you Google

Thanks for that tip Blodwen. I'll try that and see what the response is. I guess you could put parmesan in to give it a stronger cheese flavour and it would just melt in.Seriously money saving0
