  • Lost 3lb this morning so only 1lb up on my lowest weight just before Easter. Really trying to get back on track and head in the right place. I have a dress that is slightly too small for me to wear in 8 weeks so I'm hoping that gives me enough motivation!

Hope you all have a fab weekend.

Oh what a shame. That is a bit rubbish. I was speaking to a colleague who cycle to work this morning. He keeps very fit and healthy by doing it. I have been thinking about getting a bike for a while, but haven't been able to afford one yet. I did look at the cycle to work scheme when it was open last month. I couldn't actually cycle to work though as it is too far and wasn't sure if I could just use the bike for general use. I work in a special needs school and we have a workshop that repairs bikes. I know they also recycle (excuse the pun!) children's bikes, so I am thinking of asking them to look out for a bike for me.

Do you have a local freecycle? Perhaps you could ask for one on there?

    Hi all,

Been working so not been around much, hope everyone is well x

WI tonight, was stunned with 4 1/2 lb off and slimmer of the week.. Amazing how a good result on the scales can give a boost.. Was getting a little fed up with just the 1lb loss in 5 weeks.. Went back to basics, writing down food diary, did a couple of days SE and started to do some exercise now I have a treadmill.. :)

Thanks for that minestrone soup recipe med mum, going to make that tomorrow, have just the right veg that needs using up!

    Wow fab loss :T

Well done on your fab loss as well :T

The most I ever lost in a week was 2.5lb & that was only once, I am wondering if its because of my age/build that I am not having much success, or just the fact that SW goes belly up at the weekend?? (Probably the latter :p) My hubby says he doesnt think I should lose another stone (I am

Blodwen - you will get sorer over the next few days believe me, my neck is feeling better, so I think I will be starting on Monday, will take my measurements on Sunday & see how I go. My legs & arms were the worst, & my face was like a big red tomato when I was finished :rotfl:

Medmum - Thank you so much for posting, I have got all that in except cabbage, made a trip out to get celery last night as I saw that in a few recipes, so will get cabbage later & let you know how I get on :D.

    SE Plan Today :-

B - Melon, pineapple, strawberries, berries & FF Nat yoghurt
L - WM pitta (HEB+1), 1/2 tin salmon & tomato sauce (1) large salad with dressing (1), melon, strawberries, pineapple
D - "Smash" pizza with chicken/peppers (A for cheese topping), large salad, DH & kids are having proper HM pizza, I was determined not to miss out & smash pizza is lovely :D:D
    S - Toffee muller & banana
    2nd HEA & HEB - Ryvita & LCL, melon & strawberries

I will be cooking up the soup & a couple of SW quiches for lunches tonight & perhaps a couple of fritatas to use up bendy veggies :D

Going to make SW coleslaw to go with salad tonight to use up the leftover cabbage from the soup :money:

Thank you :) That is actually over 2.5 weeks and I've been to boot camp 3 times too so I think that is why. Didn't get the rest of your sentence but do whatever you feel comfortable with regarding further weight loss x

    Hi All,

Back from hols & considering a piece of fruit or veg didn't pass my lips during the week in the sun - i only put on 1.5lbs!

Slowly getting into the swing of things again, but it is harder

But i am determined to try and each as much fruit & veg as i can for the bean (think i can feel it jumping about a bit!)

Well done to the loosers & the returning members xxx

    Mushy Pea curry

Tastes exactly like the chinese curry sauce

    3 tins mushy peas
    1 tin beans
    curry powder to taste

    Mix & blitz!

I don't blitz mine & i used mushrooms & onions & normally quorn pieces with sweetcorn & peas & use it on a green day as a curry

But the above would make a really nice sauce - you can loosen it up with a bit of stock

TIP: Use all Mr T value stuff (including curry powder) & you can have loads of sauce for less than £1!!!

Haven't made it but I'm sure I've heard the mushy pea curry is meant to be like Chinese curry. Just tried looking up curry from the Chinese but it's not in the database - most Chinese chicken dishes are 5-10 syns but then a jar of Tesco Chinese curry sauce is 17.5  If it were me I think I'd estimate at somewhere between 5 and 10 based on portion size but that'd be a bit of a guess!
