I am really trying to save money and have a wedding to go to in September. As I looked through my wardrobe I found an outfit I bought for DGD Christening which I didn't wear because it was too tight. It would be ideal for the September wedding if only I can fit into it comfortably.

I signed up to a website for slimmers and then remembered that I used to belong here. So, like a bouncy ball I am back again to stick to the plan this time.

As I only decided to come back to SW this afternoon my day hasn't been very SW. BUT from now on I will change.

Tonight's dinner is Mashed potato, onion gravy (no fat), Mr S veggie Glamorgan sausages which I hope are low syn (not a good start) and brocolli.

Good to see you poohbear. The sausages are 2.5 syns each so fairly sinful compared with some. You'll be fine once you've done your meal plan and shop. How far are you from fitting into the dress? September is ages away and well done for starting now.:T

I've had an OK day foodwise but could have been better. I'm convinced I've gained with my weekend away and other flexi meals so I'll probably go to WI tomorrow to find out the worst. The trouble is my routine is all haywire as I haven't done a proper shop so not really enough SFs. Tomorrow will be SW Bolognese from freezer and then Friday I get back on track properly.

Well done both of you - that's a great result. :T

The only thing I would say (and not to dampen your spirits) is that you probably won't be able to eat and drink the way you've done this week in future weeks and lose that amount. First week is always a good loss especially if you've not dieted for a while.

I really don't want to take away from your great victory but just want to make sure you're aware.
Yea I know, its actually a miracle. This is my third or fourth time now, every time I plan to make it a life habit this way of eating, but my sweet tooth gets in the way.
Good luck to all those with WI tomorrow.
Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.

Thank you for the great salmon recipe, even OH loved it. I had bought two lots of salmon so had the second lot tonight with lots of leftover veg and eggs, that sauce for the salmon is great and I plan using it for gammon next.

day 10 and the munchies hit me big time, not helped by alcohol consumption. What happened was... I was invigilating with a colleague. It was in a basement IT suite, very hot and dry and stuffy (poor students). They finished about 4:10, we finished 4:30 at which point I had every intention of going to the library to do some work. My colleague thought we deserved a pint (you can imagine how much arm twisting I needed). 2 pints later I walked home (declined the offer of a taxi even though I live round the corner from him), had good SW supper (all free), updated online diary (to be told I'd exceeded my syns for the day. pity they don't do a weekly tally) then bible study in the pub  but stuck to one soda and lime.
By the time I got home I could have eaten every biscuit in the house. However pleased to report all I actually had was a large cup of tea :D

    Morning,

Welcome to the new faces

Prudent - your meals look fine to me but it depends how small your portions actually are. If you are feeling hungry try and up them a little and see what happens. Are you eating your HEs and syns? I see from what you posted that your had one A and one B but as it's a green day (am wondering if you are veggie from your question about canneloni?) you can have 2 of each.

Poohbear - well done for starting straight away - if it was me I would have left it til the morning or the official diet-starting day, Monday, so I have nothing but admiration for you! I also want to lose the rest of my weight for a wedding in September amongst other things - how much do you want to lose?

Tried the 30 day shred for the first time yesterday and found it to be ok. It was tiring and I know from how bad I was at the abs workouts that my core is woefully weak, but generally it wasn't too bad, which surprised me as I'm pretty unfit (although OH gave up half way through mumbling something about having a bad back... yeah right!). Feel ok today - arms and legs are slightly wobbly and can feel it in the fronts of my thighs when walking down stairs but nowhere near as bad as I expected *probably speaks too soon and opens door to invite DOMS in* :rotfl:

    EE today:
B: Berries, ff yogurt, weetabix (B), syrup (3), milk (A)
L: Gammon and egg salad, mayo (1), apple
    T: Lasagne (4)
    S: Greek mullerlight (0.5), pineapple

Have a good day folks :)

ETA: Well done DD, you did really well to resist and I bet you're proud of yourself today :)

WI for me this morning and I gained 3lbs! I'm not that worried as it's over a two week period and I'm still within range but it's the first time I've been above my target weight in over a year. Going to WI has achieved what I wanted which is to get myself back on track with a whole week (just one meal out in a carvery planned) on SW.

I've bought a copy of the Mirror this morning: 50p paper with a £5 off a £40 shop in Aldi plus various other Aldi vouchers with one or two I know I'll use. I don't normally spend that much in a week in Aldi but thought I'll stock up on tinned toms, passata, pasta, red beans and other basics while I'm there. It sounds a bit sad but I'm really looking forward to doing my meal plan and shopping list. I'm desperate for SFs!

DD, going home and making a big mug of tea was an excellent end to the day. I find if I have a drink out that's the best thing for me, it's too easy to open a bottle and carry on.

    Have a good day all.:)

Today, I've had a bowl of Shreddies (HEA and B), I'm planning a big bowl of frozen berries for lunch and a SW Bolognese for supper. It's not really enough food but it'll do until I shop tomorrow.

Hi Poohbear - I've also just come back to this site and happy to be back on plan (or nearly back on plan )

That's such a victory DD - the leader of my support group always starts with asking people for victory stories - she doesn't want to hear about what people didn't do right but wants everyone to say what was good about their week and what they can be proud of - what you did last night is definitely something to be proud of.

I've been promising myself all week that I'm going to get back to my zumba class and also do a squat program I read about on facebook - haven't done either of them and I'm got a 10km charity walk tomorrow morning

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j
