  • Great Losses Emma and Swiper.

Took the dog out early for another hour long walk today and have my meals planned out:

    B:red berries and VLF yogurt
L: Lentil dahl and a stupidly large amount of vegetable
D: beef canneloni (from an old SW mag), spinach, more fruit

    HEA half milk, half cheese
HEB ryvita to go with the 14g cheese.7

    Snacks are apples and bananas.

Syns, 2 for oil used in cooking, 3 cadbury's mini eggs (8 grams)
    Seriously money saving

Lost 5 and 1/2 at first WI this morning, so very happy with that. Another 3 and half stone to go, so hope I can keep motivated. Will try and plan a weeks meals, maybe spaghetti bolognese for tonight.

    That's a great start, well done x

Hi all just skim read last few pages, lots of new names which is great but most worryingly a few missing - Where are Stef and Banjo?? Myself I've been busy dealing with life, I have found a great new diet though it's called the worry, stress and no eating plan, I've lost 1/2 stone on it :( (sorry excuse my sarcasm). I just wanted to pop by and say hello really and let you know I'm still alive n kickin! Hopefully I'll be back to SW soon, then you'll be fed up of seeing me on here again! xxx

Plus 1 for me last night at class but was expecting this. Fresh start today!

Anyhow, on buying groceries this am, I bought two packs of large flat mushrooms - meaning 8 in total ! I would be very interested to know what you would do with the mushrooms/what you would make ? I'm having sw chips tonight for tea so will serve some mushrooms then - possibly with peppers too but other than than, I am a bit stuck for ideas.

It will be a gain for me too this week FE but put it behind you and move on.

Those big flat mushrooms are great with some quark or fromage frais mixed with lots of garlic, ground black pepper and stuffed inside - then grill them until it all bubbly, squeeze a little lemon juice over and enjoy!

Your so right, yesterday by the time I got home I was tired and cross.

A mug shot does not equate to a sufficient lunch lol.

I did treat myself to a Freddo last night.

Today will be better as I made sure I made my lunch up last night so here is today's menu.

B: Muller Lite, Plum & Kiwi
L: Boiled Rice, Ham, Pickles, Lettuce, Peppers, Celery, Houmus, Sugarsnap Peas, Spring Onion. Two Mandarins.
D: Leftover Cowboy Hotpot with extra beans and cabbage

HE: 3 Laughing Cow Light Triangles with Lunch

Syns: Packet of Velvet Crunch 4 & WW Cookies 4

It is very difficult for me to get into my head that losing weight does not mean starving myself as I'm going against many years of losing weight that way and then regaining. I have always had issues with food - in my last slimming attempt a few years back when I lost four stone I would have a piece of toast at breakfast and then nothing until dinner - how bad was that! So you can see that I have to retrain myself and how it is a struggle for me!! Thanks for all the advice and support. It is great to have this forum.:T I think if they weren't called syns I would find it a bit easier - as syns means something bad to me! Its a wonder they are called and not something more positive as I am sure I am not the only one to think this way!

Hi, I know I haven't been around for a while but have been secretly lurking in the background!

I am exactly the same as this, but after 8 weeks of SW I'm finally learning that my losses seem to be better if I let myself be "naughty" and have my syns (even though I know thats not naughtiness really, we are allowed them after all!!). I was just like you, every time I've lost weight before it's been thru starvation or quick fix. And before I started SW I'd literally eat nothing at all all day then binge on carbs all night long as soon as I finished work!

I've bought a big packet of toffees now and if I get to the end of the day and havent had any syns I have two as a late night treat just before bedtime to give me 4syns. Think it's just about trying to retrain yourself and break the old habits.

    xx

I do mine "Jamie style" - chop up chilli pepper then mix (on chopping board) with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, chopped parsley, rub mixture all over the mushroom & stuff the top with mozarella, chopped stalk from mushroom & sometimes breadcrumbs & put in oven until cheese all bubbly, I am having them on Saturday with my steak, well worth using up my HEB for the oil :D to have with my steak nomnomnomnom

That sounds delicious Macpep - I may actually drool on my desk!

Good to see you back Lucky Legs - have been wondering about you, and Stef and Banjo too. I know Stef said she was taking a step back from posting as she was on here all the time but I hope Banjo is sticking with it as he has seemed quite disheartened for a while :(
